Oh right. didn't those guys say they were calling in a member we hadn't seen yet? Was that this dude? I missed that.
One Strip! One Strip!I just checked. Suzaku shows up after the Wood Dragon God is defeated. He is the Black Dragon Slayer, Suzaku the Red Dragon.
Chapter's out.
Lucy manages to summon her spirits at once. The last time we saw something like this was when she and Yukino summoned all of them to close the gate, though we're still missing two. I'm wondering if the group is gonna learn some spirit arts before they leave as well.
One Strip! One Strip!And another.
At least Erza didn't win with just the Nakama Hakama this time and had to use an unorthodox armor to win.
Wouldn't be a Fairy Tail power-up if it didn't make you sexier.
Youkai lady was already done for, but I kinda knew she'd go down when she busted out her own next tier power-up.
One Strip! One Strip!Chapter out. Sword guy seems nicer than his guild people. Sure he cut them down but he was using FT logic so its fine.
I'm still liking the isekai jokes.
Secret SignatureOf course, him taking out two of their biggest guns is a huge problem. I have a feeling Buff Lady is gonna go straight for Lucy again (who'll likely be protecting Natsu).
They still have Grey and his Demon-Slayer magic thankfully. But we'll see what happens.
One Strip! One Strip! Its kind of weird to see Natsu and Erza beaten so easily
A lazy millennial who's good at what he does.I mean, the arc kinda started like that didn't it?
Secret SignatureYeah, though they were both a big fight before hand, so it does raise the question of if he's stronger, or if they just weren't at 100%.
Though he's also a Dragon-Eater, and we've seen those dudes have some pretty bullshit powers as well.
One Strip! One Strip! So hey, turns out it doesn't matter if every side character in a work gets screentime or plot relevance, as long as the story properly frames who that character is and why they matter at this point in the story, that matter more than expecting some arbitrary quota to satisfy the less reasonable readers. Fairy Tail's guild having "too many side characters" isn't a mark against them being a Family of Choice.
Second half is Craftdwarf criticizing his old criticisms of the humor.

It's interesting to see someone look back at their own criticisms and realize they weren't fair.
As for the stuff on side characters....well, I wonder if we should mention a bit of this on the DB thread and see how it goes down, considering the frustration with how a lot of its side characters are used.
One Strip! One Strip!Chapter out.
Sword guy vs Selene. Stuff happens. Dragon eaters is still dumb considering how bloody invincible dragons are. So what does he eat? Swordsmen? Swords? Sounds like Kyria's thing.
And we have Gray and Lucy vs Mimi and Yuki Onna. Okay I guess.
Secret SignatureAfter watching Mimi manage to track everyone down mere seconds after they escaped....after the teleported, which should have left no scent to even follow, I'm beginning to think it's not so much Lucy is weak, as it is Mimi is freakishly strong.
One Strip! One Strip!Gray and Lucy is an interesting team up. We don't see them together a lot.
I have no clue what's up with the Selene vs sword guy though.
They both kind of pulled double duty as the straight men of the group to Natsu and Erza's antics early on, but after Juvia was introduced, Gray and Lucy just kind of stopped interacting as much unless it was a joke about Juvia being jealous.
A lazy millennial who's good at what he does.New chapter:
Sword dude is getting whooped, and Lucy bounces back. Nice!
And she's actually using her powers rather intelligently, which is something I've wanted more of.
One Strip! One Strip!Beat her ass girl.
A lazy millennial who's good at what he does.Could do without that dialogue though.
Secret SignatureThe Craftsdwarf tirade against the fairy tail tirade is over. At the end, I think the final section in the video is the most important takeaway from the series. I'll quote what I think is the most relevant section.
While positive videos about the series exist, to my knowledge no one has directly challenged the tirade in its entirety until I started the series back in November, likely because the community largely agreed with the sentiment regardless of what I had to say. The backhanded jokes, the smug dismissiveness. Even if I were actually right more often than not, these videos would only convince someone who was already feeling doubts about Fairy Tail, or hadn't actually read it. A handful of people I talked too never even read Fairy Tail, but watched the videos anyway.
Negative videos just do better; because people who don't like the thing want reaffirmation, people who don't care for the thing get a funny video that justifies them not spending time with the series, while people who do like the thing feel the need to engage with it and defend their personal feelings. Where a positive video doesn't inspire that kind of defensiveness in people who don't like the thing. And I don't really care if you the viewer still hates Fairy Tail or not, as long as my videos aren't being weaponized against it, like or dislike whatever you want.
New chapter's out btw. Lucy wins for once! Though the Aquarius summon made me raise an eyebrow.
