It feels that at some point Mashima prioritized sexiness in his female character design above literally everything else. Which why you get someone strutting around ina war in a fur coat and bikini. And Irene's tacky bullshit. And everything with blade bitch. And for something not Fairy Tail related Julianise.

Being serious, this is a guy who lets his fetishes rule him and his writing. And while at first I was ok with it, over time, it reached the point where it couldn't be ignored, and then finally became detrimental to things.

Assistant girl is full of crap. Those dudes would have shown up to attack the Water Dragon God one way or another. It's not FT's fault what happened. But of course, Humans Are the Real Monsters so naturally Lucy just lets her get away with it...though it wouldn't have been such a good time to do so.

Erza was supposed to be bigger than a girl who gets naked, wins with her swords, and spouts friendship speeches. This, however, is far worse like the Tartaros incident but played far more disgustingly. Utterly appalled by Erza getting reduced to nothing more than a pet.

Yeah. I don't enjoy much about Erza anymore, but this is still pretty messed up.

An assassin can literally walk in with the intent to kill someone & they can bide their time all they want because no one will suspect them.

Also rather hypocritical & terrible of Laxus to bring up Jelly's past crimes cause unlike Jelly Laxus did every awful act he did with a clear mind.

Brandish is still awful. I gotta agree with that. She didn't even stay to help her home. And Erza escaped the spell because it was eye based and her artificial eye halves all eye based spells. While I'm glad to be done with that, I don't look forward to the inevitable friendship wins because she's Erza bullshit. You can't win with Fairy Tail sometimes.
