I took a typing class in 8th grade to learn the finger placement because it was an Easy A elective.

Then I practiced by arguing on the internet for 17 years.

I do know how to type, though I couldn't tell you my wpm to be honest.

I don't think I'm super fast though.

My WPM is like 80something. Checked just now, since I don’t know it off the top of my head. I can go faster, but then I’m not as accurate. I know playing MMOs helped with speed.

...Seriously, this many of you never learned to type properly? I learned when I was a kid in school. Is that not a thing anymore? I would’ve expected people nowadays to learn earlier, if anything. I’m 26, and I’m not sure if I’m older or younger than most of you, but if any of you are around the same age, maybe my school was unusual at the time.

I’m not trying to be condescending, and I’m sorry if it seems that way. I’m just surprised.

I can't speak for if it's still a thing, but it wasn't when/where I went to school. Computers had only just begun to get introduced. So I learned a lot of bad habits before I realised they were bad habits.

As far as i can tell, that's just plainly not a thing in france until you get to at least college (is that the correct name for the thing you do when you're 17-19 ?) in a relevant field (like, secrretary or some thing like that, not computer science stuff) or get in a field that expressely requires it sooner.

You know we alwere arguing about the various underworld in the kh universe in here earlier and what if stuff like hades domain and Davy Jones locker deal with souls. The hearts go onto kh and the souls or life force goes to whatever underworld that world has

I've got all the way to doing a Ph D in computational chemistry and I still can't type fast without needing to do loads of corrections.

Random memory came to me. Before we actually knew what the original world looked like, I had a fan theory that TWTNW was the "nobody" of the original world.

Looking at how I type now, it seems to be with whatever finger is closer to the letter I want.

Is this what "finger-typing" is?

It's actually kinda slow normally. When I want to put words onto paper so as I can revise those words (as the first words I type are not the best as my liveblog last night can attest to), it gets faster.

I would be so happy is black cloaks were last season. They are the single most overused piece of garment in any piece of media ever. I never, ever want to see them again.

So. Sorabot "fixed" Destiny Islands and it resulted in a recalled video of Riku and Ratty Blanket Ghost Ansem.

I thought it was weird that the Journal's psychometry would feature Destiny Islands since Jiminy wasn't around for that. The book has never been here. Not even once. But that video didn't even have anything to do with Sora at all! @.@ I am so lost. There is SOME BULLSHIT going on here.

It does seem to confirm that Riku and Blanket Hobo were corroborating. We don't get to hear them say anything, but it confirms that they knew each other before Riku left Destiny Islands. The first time Riku heard his voice was probably not that fateful day in Hollow Bastion when he agreed to let the Darkness into his Heart.

This helps elaborate on the picture some. Hobo Ansem wasn't just watching Riku, he was cultivating him to become his vessel just as Xehanort had once done for Terra.

I mean, correct me if I'm wrong but didn't Riku see/hear Piss Hobo Robe Ansem by the Door? The dude had been waiting on Destiny Islands for decades after going back in time to guide YX.

I don't think Riku ever saw Hobo Ansem by the door, no. The first interaction we see between them is in Hollow Bastion.

In KHI, there's a flashback where Sora and Riku discover the Door for the first time. As they're leaving the cave, Riku looks back and we see from his perspective the Keyhole in the middle of the door. But we don't see him interact with Stained Rug Ansem until Hollow Bastion.

That said, Terranort's Not-Exactly-Heartless has been at Destiny Islands for as long as Kairi - possibly longer judging by the YX retcon, but I'm withholding judgment on that until I get there - and he was specifically there for Riku, the Keyblade Wielder. So even before DDD, it's not a huge leap to suggest that when Sora and Kairi were off chilling and making cave paintings and shit, Riku was having secret conversations with him about the nature of Darkness and other worlds.
