Knowing Aperture Science, the device was probably originally designed to serve instant coffee or something.

Also, good on her, keeping her finger completely out of the trigger well.

Nervousness.

I rescind my previous confidence vis a vis Sam's dexterity with glue guns.

I sorta figured from the start this would end with her hurting herself again somehow.

Plugged in? Heck, that glue gun doesn't even have a cord! I know that model as well, and it doesn't run on batteries either.

There's a cord. It's more visible in the previous strip.

Ah, it was hard to distinguish as just a single line. In the first couple panels it blended in with her character outline.

Butt options.

That is indeed a very thicc catalog. There appear to be many possible avenues to explore in the realm of gluteal augmentation.

I'm not sure why, but I've always hated that particular slang-word.

My only problem with it is I've never seen it used unironically.

Ah, the gradual corruption of language. Trying to communicate with people 100 years in the future is going to be akin to trying to communicate with someone from 16th century England.

I wouldn't call it "corruption" so much as "evolution", up to and including that much of it is completely unguided and doesn't pursuit a "right" path so much as a "better for the current situation" path, and that there are generally multiple paths happening simultaneously, merging and diverging.

Do you consider it a bad thing nobody talks like Shakespeare wrote anymore, or is it just that English as it was taught to you in school is the pinnacle of language?

Yeah, calling it "corruption" is a little hyperbolic, considering how much the English language evolves and adopts popular phrases by the year.

I feel like it should be easier to do that by tapping phones together than it currently is. The closest I've come is scanning somebody's Venmo code.

Man, I wish I could do that. As someone who regularly asks customers to fork over hundreds of dollars at a time, it'd cut down the awkwardness of the "please pay me now" part if I could hold up my fist and say, "And that comes to $312.56. Put 'er there!"

Personally I think the inconvenience is a good thing. It forces me to spend a few more seconds on the transaction — just enough time to think "do I really want to buy this?" (obviously this only applies in cases where you pay before you get your goods and services).

I sometimes think that e-commerce is a little too easy.

That butt implant probably feels like those rubber stress ball toys filled with water and glitter. A good way to distract yourself for a few minutes.

And while I'm not against the gradual evolution of language, I am against its corruption via stupid misspelling memes where even the intended use is misused due to unrealistic standards of beauty.

Ah. I get you on that. I still cringe when I hear people say they "got woke". I know it's based off of black vernacular, which has some peculiar grammatical quirks, but without that context, it just sounds ignorant, like a toddler saying, "I woked up."

I really hate when people just call everything "thicc". Especially prevalent in the anime community, where any girl who is not quite as thin as a stick gets that label slapped on them.

Gotta admit, I always thought "woke" and "thicc" are really stupid things to say. I don't even know what "thicc" is supposed to mean.
