You keep thinking that. In the meantime, Faye is dreaming of bear kings and tits.
And beans.
I want some follow up on this dream.
I'm Charlie Owens, good night and good luck. PSNID: CEOIII 1117Wish granted! Classic QC, take a random topic and riff on it until you reach a punchline. Stick a pun in the strip title, and another in the footer.

oh wow no that is exactly the more classic formula
wtf, jeph, just when things were getting, erm, uninteresting
[forum cryptid: it/it's]So, do y'all think we'll be returning to Unicorn Grove to meet the Bear King tomorrow, or will Jeph draw it out until, say, next week?
VOTE BEAR IN 2020.
Because after all the shit this administration has put us through, we could ALL use a 3 month nap.
I'm Charlie Owens, good night and good luck. PSNID: CEOIII 1117Called it! Not about the Bear King.
Edit: There’s actually a lot to unpack here. First, I was right in my supposition that Momo would not be swayed by May’s (and Faye’s) assessment of her new hairstyle, and would want it restored, and that Union Robotics is the place to go.
She’s worried not because it’s an overly complicated procedure, but because she doesn’t have much disposable income, which is interesting. Marigold forgave her the debt for her new chassis and her only regular expense should be her share of the rent, by my reckoning. (Is she self-sacrificing enough to not even use Marigold’s money when she tries to improve her human roommates’ diet?)
Despite trying to get a brand-new small business off the ground, Faye is very willing to offer free labor to someone who’s honestly only a tertiary friend. How often do she and Momo interact directly?
Then, when Momo properly insists on fair compensation and Faye fails to read the room on her joke, Momo doesn’t get angry about rip-off pricing, or even reconsider the idea of keeping the punk look, but instead earnestly, tearfully offers to pay thousands of dollars as best she is able. She really wants her hair back.
On a smaller note, I like how Faye enters the scene holding a taped box with Momo behind her. Suggests that Faye just took delivery of the day’s UPS shipment and Momo followed her in, and the idea of a box of robot parts fresh from the supplier being simply labeled “hands” in Sharpie is amusing to me.

This page reminds me part of why I love robots so much. I really like how different people handle the mechanics of it all. The "solution" comment is super interesting to me. So the robots in QC grow their hair, but they need a special solution to stimulate that growth, which is why their hair remains static normally. That's a neat way to handle it.
I, um, expected something more like a hairwashing sink in a salon. But when you don't need to breathe...
Prediction: Momo will have Repunzel Hair, countering Jeph's short hair fetish with the most extreme logical conclusion.
for all of one strip, before Momo cuts it and gets it back into plaits.
Come sail your ships around me, and burn your bridges down.A fancy shop would probably have something like that. But it would be a tricky contraption in order to ensure there's no leaks around the neck. These two have to make do.
True.
Yep, I’d say that’s likely.
“Presumably this is how Bubbles does it too,” the footer says. Except I’ll bet Bubbles does a handstand over the tank, lowers her head in, and then just locks her arms in that position for six hours, without bothering to tie her legs to anything. 💪

The art style makes it look like Faye is loosing weight.
Momo will come out of the bucket with an epic ZZ Top style beard.
Avatar from here.Well, it could have been longer. But it's plenty enough to wave in slow-motion while apparently going all boneless, as in panel one.
Jeph: "See, I can too draw long hair!"
Disgusted, but not surprisedWell, this seems more dangerous than the acid bath.
Aaand she's going to end up with short hair as well.
Welcome to Estalia, gentlemen.Short bangs- which might actually look interesting with her long hair.
"You are never taller then when standing up for yourself"It's a pretty classic style for her anime nature - Hime Cut.
I'll reserve judgment until I see the results, but "short" and "cut" in the same sentence by one of Jeff's characters does raise some alarms.
I'm with Adannor, this sounds like a Hime Cut in the making.
I love Faye's face in the last panel.

A Hime Cut has a low fringe. This sounds more like she's going for a high forehead and long in the back. Like Yue from Negima, if we're sticking to anime references.
What's precedent ever done for us?"Dangerous" is relative. I suspect that with Bubbles's precision chassis design and training, it's less dangerous than getting a professional barber to shave you with a cut-throat razor.
= Spindriver =
For the sake of my sanity, I'm going to assume they're watching Daniel Tosh having kids eating chocolate pudding together.
