Dante is clearly worn the fuck out from the fight with Urizen...

I mean

Dante needs too absorb the Sparda and Rebellion to unlock SDT just to EVEN the odds on Urizen before he eats the Fruit

So you'd think Urizen should be more of Climax boss.

Now you could Argue its Now that V and Nero have cut off Urizen's unlimited IV pumping him up, Urizen needs the Fruit to even the odds against SDT.

Eh, the dialogue in the fight clearly shows post-SDT Dante wiping the floor with Urizen. Once Vergil is back together they're exactly equal.

Vergil outright tells Dante he is exhausted and in no shape to fight him

all the Dialogue shows is Dante is Winning and Urizen is having Meltdown over it

They can still be roughly evenly matched with Dante being slightly stronger cause Urizen relies solely on brute power.

IE Goku vs Vegeta where even though Goku is stronger the fight is still a slog and Vegeta starts foaming at the mouth at the indignity of having drawn out fight let alone one he is losing

Majin Dante has the advantage over baseline Urizen. Urizen had to retreat and consume the Qliphoth Fruit to even the odds, and even then the narrative portrays Dante as being stronger though the fight still leaves him breathless afterwards.

V and Urizen merging together results in a Vergil who is Better Than New thanks to Urizen consuming the Qliphoth Fruit. This is why Vergil's able to fight on par with Dante and has a Majin form of his own.

DMC 6 or whenever we see Dante again exposure to the underworld will have changed his DT again!

His DT didn't look at that different in 4 & 5.

his normal DT and his Sin DT are drastically different

Vergil ironically you can see the evolution of his Normal DT to his Sin DT

Dante just goes ALL over the place, Its DMC 2 all over again

I talking about his Devil Trigger in 4 & 5.

If anything else, I would want the Sin Devil Trigger to look drastically different if only for the sake of putting emphasis on its power & abilities.

Back when Borderlands had one coming out, someone said a thing they dislike is that Chinese games have this weird CLEAN aesthetic which is done cause they really want you to customize your look.

Its almost like Vindictus... I really don't bother with Male pcs cause 90% their look is covered by the Armor

and well I assume Capcom is not overly concerned with this going across oceans... If they were gonna make a MP DMC like Po C and it was gonna go to the states yeah I'd expect they'd be pumping money to make it look GOOD

I'm legit surprised Lady is playable here.

Why?

I know the game isn't going to suddenly get a crap ton of players but they want people to spend money on this game & Lady was playable back DMC 4 SE. Not to mention being arguably the most popular female character in the series.

Because I didn't expect her to be playable, simple as that.

I don't know much about the game but at most I expected Vergil to be playable. The fact Lady is in here and has a bunch of alt costumes is impressive to me.

I don't either, but they are recycling more than a few things for the mobile game.

Which makes me only wonder why some of the features in that game aren't in 5

Its not that weird when you look at it from the perspective of we need distinct fighting styles for our game.

The Three most unique are gonna be Dante, Nero and V

followed by the Styles on Steroids, Vergil , Lady and Trish

and then Lucia whose moveset is underbaked

Like the game clearly is going for DMC 3 era appeal so Dante and Vergil are a DUH, but Lady was the requested character plus she's probably the most unique of the style variants

Vergil is suppose to have some similarities to Dante and Trish is just the Dante Swordmaster refuge bin

It seems Each Beta is about testing out a new characters

Beta 1 Dante

Beta 2 Lady

Beta 3 Vergil

and the upcoming Beta 4 is gonna introduce Nero

If I had a nickel for the two separate, consecutive days I got a Dawn of War 2 reference, I'd have two nickels.

Which isn't that much but it's funny it happened twice.

After making it to stage 90 (DMD King Cerberus) of Bloody Palace as Vergil and getting my ass kicked, I looked up how speedrunners did it and therefore put a few hours into practicing perfect consecutive Judgment Cuts. Turns out there's a good reason for that 3-frame window, shit is busted. Cerberus has a shitload of HP and SDT + Doppelganger just shreds his HP in a minute. Practiced that fight until I could no damage it, waltzed through BP again... then died to the Vergil mirror. Off to practice again.

Interesting stuff

It may not be entirely faithful but the English dialogue, for me personally, is more suited compare to the actual translation.

So in less than 8 months, DMC will become a 20-year-old franchise. Considering how many games have been remade, including Capcom's, this makes me ask myself if the original trilogy should be remade as well. For me personally, I would be more than ok with DMC getting remade. I know that this will make Nero take a backseat, again, but going off everything I've heard about DMC 1 & 2, especially DMC 2, I do think it would be pretty beneficial. I personally don't think DMC 3 needs remade, if at all, but there's a lot of potential in a 3 remake. On top of my head, an actual Vergil & Lady campaign. I still think DMC 2 should have the highest priority compare to the other 2. I'm also bringing this up because of that heavily rumored RE 4 remake. A game that really doesn't need to be remade at all.

Frankly if you did a remake of 1 and 2 but made them kinda have a benefit of cross play?

like Your weapons could carry over too 2 and update the bloody palace so now your dealing with random mixes of 1 and 2 style enemies

Essentially make them on the same engine but have alot of overlap

Frankly I'd want a Remake of 1 and 2 just so we can have games that revolve around Dante

cause lets be blunt DMC may as well be called Vergil May Cry featuring Dante with how much Itsuno and Bingo are OVERLY reliant on Vergil one way or another to make a plot. 'I mean they totally add a fourth Nelo fight so Vergil's the second to last boss or... ugh Gliver

Really the only way I could see a DMC 3 remake working is if Vergil and Lady both got their own respective campaigns 'not just play through Dante's missions'

With each getting their own diverse arsenal of weapons to make it worth it.
