Cyrus slammed his fist against the wall.

"Damn it, I KNOW that I'm a horrible, broken wreck of a person. One of the only two people that have given me any reason to live gave his life for me last year, and all I've done is wallow in self-pity. I was drunk for at least half of last year. I know, okay? And I've hit the bottom, and I couldn't even bring myself to hang myself." Kira's eyes widened at this statement. "I know that I probably look worse than crap, but I've had nothing to do for a year but drink, then when that ran out, think. I've been depressed enough. I don't need you guys reminding me. You want me to do something, Kira and Raito-chan? I'll give the damn opening speech later. I won't look much better, but what the hell. It'll get you three off my back."

"...Good thing, big bro," Kira said as he turned and left.

Giery decided to go first against his opponent. He drew...

ed looked at his hand with glee. Depending on his draw,this match could be a piece of cake. He waited for his opponents turn to end,with much excitement.

"You aren't getting rid of me so easy, Cyrus," Scott said, walking into the room, "But I have not seen it, no. I wanted to see you before I did anything else, so I didn't pay attention. Besides, I didn't come in here to have you revisit your self pity. I wanted to be a good friend and visit, perhaps help you a little. And catch up a little. Am I not allowed to do that after what we've been through together?" He smiled, signalling that the question was rhetorical.

Giery said, "I activate Gold Sarcophagus, letting me remove Valhalla, Hall of the Fallen from play. I get it in two turns. Now, I summon Dark Valkyria in attack mode. I set two facedowns and end."

Giery's monster appeared, followed by his facedowns.

"I'll set a facedown monster,and place another facedown spell/trap. With that,my turn ends." He'd probably lose some life points next turn,but sacrifices had to be made

I apologise if this should be in the discussion thread (I feel wierd putting a post with no RP content here...), but do we have a GM for the me vs Evi duel?

You know, I could do it, if you like. Also, this post has not been checked for spelling or grammar. At all. So there are probably some glaring errors.

Absently, Anna chewed a strand of hair, shuffling through the deck her brother had lent her. Over the course of the boat ride, she'd gotten quite a few strange looks, courtesy of her albinism, which was particularly noticeable due to the length of her hair. Some of them had been sneaking glances when they thought she wasn't looking, but most simply stared openly, ogling her as if she were some kind of exotic zoo animal. Several had even walked up and asked her about her unusual features, and she had cheerily explained the details of her condition. Anna didn't mind, really. She couldn't blame them for being curious, after all, although the attention still made her feel a little uncomfortable.

Apparently, she'd also forgotten to to take note of the passage of time, because by the time she looked up from the deck, everyone else was already off the ship. "Oh no! Ahhh, I hope I'm not late!" Putting on her red ball-cap and adjusting her similarly-colored vest, she dashed out of the central lounge and down to the docks.

Anna breathed a little sigh of relief as it seemed that she was thankfully not tardy at all. In fact, it seemed like most people hadn't even moved too far away from the boat yet. Regaining her bouncy mood, she stood on her tiptoes, scanning the crowd for some some sign of Barnaby or Angie. Oh well. I'll probably see them later!

Humming a light, nonsensical tune under her breath, she skipped over to where she'd seen a couple pairs of duelists beginning to play, squeezing her way through the crowd growing around the four until she could get a good viewpoint, which happened to be right next to a a bespectacled boy with bizarrely inverted clothes. This should be fun!

"Heh, we'll see who ends up gettin' kicked around." Michael paused to look at his hand. "Hm, I'll set a monster and two face downs, your turn." He said with a smug grin on his face.

ATTACK OF THE VESTS! Does she also use Giant Germ? XD

Cyrus adjusted his glasses and searched his person for something, but came up empty-handed..

"Okay, shoot. What do you want to talk about?"

"How's the island been? Have the spirits started to come back?" He started. He wasn't quite ready to ask Cyrus what he'd been doing, especially since the new headmaster had just yelled at him what he had been doing...

Giery drew, and summoned another of his Dark Valkyrias. "Now I'll attack with my first one against your facedown."

Eddie licked his lips. "my facedown card,sangan, is destroyed. His effect allows me to add a quickdraw synchron from my deck to my hand."

Sean snorted disdainfully. "You think you can stop me? Let's see how long that lasts..."

Drawing a card, Sean's grin grew arrogant. "I play The Sanctuary in the Sky!" As the Obelisk played his card, the field around them seemed to take on the illusion of being a castle within the clouds.

"Now, witness the beauty of annihilation! Come forth, Gellenduo!" The two adorable fairies emerged in a flare of bright light.

"Now strike down his face-down!" The fey folk fling themselves at Michael's face down card.

"Yeah. Saturn's been around, and Neptune and Venus- oh, you haven't met them yet, have you? They stick around Kira and Raito-chan. The two... well, long story short, they're split-personality. They were my adoptive brothers until my parents disowned me, and now I've legally adopted him. Her. Them. Whatever. On the subject of adoption, if you see Barnaby, ask him how Angie and... the kid are doing. And tell him that I need Avatar's card back from the kid before I have to give my speech."

"Woah, nice scenery change." Michael commented as the Sanctuary appeared, seeming genuinely impressed. *Shame I'll have to tear it down.*

He blinked for a few seconds as the fairies came in to play, *they look so...stupid* he was about to mock his opponent's choice in monsters when an attack was called.

A large humanoid figure covered with eyes appeared, only to shatter seconds later. Big Eye DEF 1000. "Tch, there goes my monster. But thanks to his effect I get to reorder the top 5 cards of my deck."

"Now then, my other Dark Valkyria attacks your life points. Darkness shock." The dark angel fired a blast of evil energy at the opponent.

"That's some complicated family business. On that track, you might end up your own grandpa," Scott said, with a laugh. "I'll ask Professor when I can. I think I signed up for one of his classes this year..." He nodded, "In other news, have you ever met my cousin, Milton? I heard he went here. I learned that from my parents after I got back... He and I think a couple of his siblings," He looked up thoughtfully, "Hmm... When I went home, things were pretty normal and calm. Needed that. Anything you want to ask? I'm not exactly good with this sort of thing, and you look like you need the company."

Eddie braced himself for a hit,being used to....More high stakes matches. He took the damage, but was pleasantly surprised at the lack of physical pain. "You done?"

"Milton... was his last name Harold, too?" Cyrus pulled out his PDA and began clicking the surface. "Damn it, can you look for the voice activation on this thing?"

"Yeah, it was," Scott said, taking the PDA from his friend. "Here it is..." He said, clicking a rather obvious 'Voice Activation' button. He forget, sometimes, that Cyrus was blind, but moments like this reminded him. He handed the PDA back to Cyrus. "There. That should do it."

Giery set another card, "Yeah, go."

"Google Milton Harold, Duel Record, et cetera," Cyrus said to the screen. "Most recent."

Multiple profiles popped up onto the screen, but the second one caught his ear when it was spoken.

"I think that'd be him. I kinda remember him. Mid-Ra range, got lucky in a scholarship tourney and placed pretty high... cracked into the Pro Circuit, apparently, but the lower end. Wouldn't really wish that on many people, truthfully- most of them are a pack of rabid dogs for their next paycheck, doing anything to win- but he seems pretty clean and hasn't run into much trouble. He's in Japan right now, aparently, for an Origin Regional- you know, that huge tournament in Japan that's broadcast live? They always end up in the spot the first World Championships were held. Kinda cool retro gimmicks, too."

"Anyway, I need to track down the kid. Avatar can't just manifest around the island anymore- only when there were so few spirits. Some of these kids have them and don't even realize it yet."

"Awesome. I'll have to watch that, later," Scott said, "Now, who's this kid you keep mentioning bet never saying the name of?"
