Ohhh I don't really care that he had it. Everyone has a hobby. I just want to know if that's really his hobby or just a distraction. I'm betting they were a smoke screen to hide his pot.

Ok him paraphrasing Natsumi's lines while claiming that he was reading her was pretty funny.

I have a strange feeling that Fermat's Last Theorem isn't necessary to run a cash register.

He's the only one that didn't get a festival wish.

I like the idea of being a teacher who teaches only lies.

I wonder if they earned their obligations, or if they were assigned it because of a crime their family committed.

What the flying fuck? His sister might have crossed a line.

Well Sachi sorta earned hers. Although I would think it's not entirely her fault.

How old are these people?

I'm afraid for Mana right now.

A teacher who teaches only lies reminds me of some philosopher or another. Can't remember which.

It's mentioned offhand that their town has classically had a lot of weird and otherwise archaic obligations. Whether or not their families issues had anything to do with that is up in the air, though I'd personally say no.

Yeah, Ririko is kind of nuts.

"All the characters depicted in this game are 18 years or older." Going by the year of school they're in, they're probably 16 or 17.

I am pretty sure Mana is not 18 or above. And (realistically) neither is Touka.

Come to think of it I never played the fandisc. Time to go do that.

Ririko epilogue has me laughing pretty much instantly. Especially since the years have completely warped the power balance and she's now a complete dork.

I finally finished the game with Sachi's epilogue. Dear god, this game is every bit as amazing as G Senjou No Maou, if not more. The Ririko plot twist in the fourth arc was freaking amazing and I never saw it coming until the game started spelling it out. Houzuki is a magnificent villain until the very end, and Kenichi is an awesome protagonist.

I think I'll finish up all the epilogues, then write up my thoughts on my MAL blog. I should also probably play the fandisc, since it's been translated and all.

That twist is great, yes. Caught me completely by surprise despite the foreshadowing that it painstakingly goes over for you.

I'm not sure I have it in me to do the Natsumi fandisc epilogue. The one I'm reading now is hilarious but Kenichi is never funny around her.

All the foreshadowing for that twist is so subtle that I doubt anyone will notice it, though I think Commander Obvious might be able to pick it up. "I shut my eyes so I could see", indeed.

I noticed the one in Sachi's route, when the door opened and closed. I knew something was up (especially since I already read GSNM and was watching for hints), but didn't pick up on the other hints and didn't know what it was til the end.

On that note, I should finish the fandisk. I got bored in Sachi's route and stopped for some reason.

I certainly noticed the door and thought the underwear scene had to have more to it, but I dismissed both. You aren't really given all the tools needed to really guess the twist. The foreshadowing is not so much 'You didn't guess this was going to happen' so much as 'No, this isn't an asspull.'

The fact that I put off reading the thing for four months probably has something to do with how I didn't get all that. I was a bit suspicious on that door thing but never really pursued my suspicions.

Again relating to GSNM, I knew that his sister would have some sort of huge role, whether villainous or heroic, I wasn't sure. I didn't connect the door and sister pieces of info though.

Hm, I know this is just a fluffy fandisc epilogue kind of thing, but even then it doesn't appear to be going anywhere and with no end in sight.

Fandisc spoilers: Eh... Ririko kind of seems like a jerk when she's not supposed to. If that's all the problem there was she seems kind of petty. Also she just got called a blood relative when she most definitely is no such thing.

[up] Yeah, that's true. Sachi's epilogue was the only one I've read with a real conflict. I didn't bother with Ririko though. Maybe I should.

Hm, it's not that there was no conflict, just that I didn't really care and I was pretty unsympathetic to her side of the argument when I think I was supposed to view neither as being in the right.

On to Touka. I am honestly just here to see her get trolled and see if what I heard was right about Kyouko getting a sex scene. I can't help but wonder how on earth that would make any sense.

Woo hoo spelunking!

Well since you all said that the ending is just about the same no matter who you choose, and I don't really have strong inclinations one way or the other about the girls except a slight dislike of Natsumi. I guess I'll go with Sachi. Why not? I can always go back to the save if I want to.

I wish there was an epilogue for the harem ending on the fandisc. It would be pretty funny and I think I would pity Kenichi immensely.

And yeah I like Sachi. And I can relate to her a lot which is a bonus, I suppose.

How was Sepia hanging around outside the cave and watching over Mana at the same time?

Ahhh he's trying to save his sister that makes sense.

I'm still worried about Mana's safety. Apparently I was right to worry and my suspicion was correct.

Random WMG for this game. The book series that everyone reads is written by Houzuki. A more serious guess would be his sister, but I just think that's not her style or something. I like the idea of Houzuki not just being just an asshole, but being an asshole stealth mentor.

Although Sepia writing them isn't a bad guess either. In fact that seems rather likely.

^ ... Awesome.

^^ Logically, it's very unlikely that Isono could have written all those Japan books. I was under the impression that the first ones were published a long time ago. Ririko or Houzuki writing them makes more sense considering that in the flashbacks Ririko was already old enough to go to university and Houzuki, of course, is a superman who can do anything.

As for Mana's safety... Eh, she can take care of herself more or less.

Revising my theory with Sepia in light of that knowledge that I most likely forgot. Ken's father used to write the books, but after his failed revolution Sepia

took over the writing.

Yeah Mana can, but still she's up against Houzuki.

By the by, should I use a walkthrough to grab bad ends and what not? Are they worth seeing?

I haven't seen the bad ends, but I doubt they're that interesting. And what makes you think Isono could guard Mana from Houzuki?

...Pardon? I didn't say anything to that affect.

Well Sepia is rather mysterious, but I don't think he could openly go against Houzuki, or even really save Mana from being a sex slave. Then again if my theory is correct he might have the money to buy Mana.

I don't understand how she can live with only 12 hours in a day. I feel cheated if I sleep more than seven hours.

I thought you were saying something like 'Because Isono wasn't guarding Mana, Bad Old Houzuki got her' or something.
