They're actually a little bit longer, unless you're comparing them to 3 Deluxe's normal mode.
Yes. I figured it could also be larger areas and switching between bases.
And I can't get that special dice from the Iridescent Glint Beetle in Sage Leaf's challenge. >:(
Never mind, I was looking in the wrong place.

I just threw Pikmin in its general direction and the auto-lockon made it trivial.
Yet another reason to dislike the auto-lockon...
How do I rush Pikmin and select the species I want to toss in the first two games?
You can't rush Pikmin in the first two games.
I'm quite certain you can. Chuggaaconroy called it the bum rush.
You can certainly swarm in the first two games by using the C-stick to direct your entire army onto something, but there's no "charge" button, if that's what you're asking.
Also when you grab a Pikmin, the Pikmin of the same color will line up closest to you to help you keep throwing that color, though the system doesn't always work out.
No, I know there's no charge button. I'm asking how would I go about doing it in the old games. I tried to rotating the right stick, but it didn't work very well.
I don't recall what button it is, but I recall that the Switch version of Pikmin 2 required you to hold down a button and then move the right joystick to do the swarming move.
EDIT: I put the wrong shoulder button; has the correct one.

On the Switch version you hold down the L button while moving the right stick.
Ah gotcha, my mistake; it's been a while since I played Pikmin 2 on the Switch, so I forgot which button it was.
Curious Archive (YouTube channel specializing primarily in overviews of spec-evo projects) did a video on Pikmin using Pikmin 4.
No major plot spoilers, but it does have certain enemies and locations.
In Pikmin 2 you can select which Pikmin you want to throw via the d-pad. Left and right to choose color, up and down to choose leaf/bud/flower.
Pikmin 1 does not have this feature, you just have to maneuver yourself.
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!Pikmin for the gamecube didn't have any way to select a Pikmin to toss, but New Play Control! Pikmin for the Wii and Pikmin 1 for the Switch both added that feature in. It's the B button on the Wii and the R button on the Switch.
So are their any theories for the spider robots (Arachnorb Family)? And why their a mix of tech and organic. Is it like a leftover of human technology Thats now run amok?
"That's right mortal. By channeling my divine rage into power, I have forged a new instrument in which to destroy you."Nothing beyond what Olimar himself theorizes: old tech that somehow started to merge with the spiders in a symbiotic relationship.
So favorite boss in this game. Other than the groovy long legs or ancient sirehound?
"That's right mortal. By channeling my divine rage into power, I have forged a new instrument in which to destroy you."I kind of have a soft spot for the Snowfake Fluttertail due to its design.
I also like fighting the Sovereign Bulblax, which gives me nostalgic feelings of the original game.
Pikmin 4 looking good. The treasure hunting is going good too.

3 > 1 > 4 > 2
That is all.
I honestly think I might like 2 better than 4. Yeah, 4 has better level design, but... I really don't like its core gameplay loop, controls, or progression by comparison. I enjoyed it, don't get me wrong, but I enjoyed the others more.
3 >>>>>>>> 1 > 2 > 4 for me. 3 was peak Pikmin and peak dandori, definitely.

You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!...I realized recently, the reason Oatchi gets an upgrade to be immune to poison but the captains are immune to it naturally is because the oxygen is already poisonous to them, and they're in space suits
Is it just me or are days shorter in 4?
