Someone pointed out that the Pain Elemental is back as well.

Also, just a bit of speculation but looks like the demons got to Earth or some big colony. Whatever the hell happened there when they invaded doesn't look pleasant and what are those tentacles coming from?

I like that the Pain Elementals are back. They were always a pain in the butt. The more challenging the game gets, the better.

They actually seem to have used some of the design elements from the cancelled "Call of DOOM" prototype here, namely the skyscrapers covered in tentacles.

With the game being called DOOM Eternal, I wonder if they're gonna do a Bio Shock Infinite here, and turn the meta level up to 11.

Doomguy was John Wick all along.

Basically, they're revisting the original concept for the 2016 game, but with the gameplay of said title.

Just did and holy shit it looks good. I'm guessing the UAC has taken over all of Earth and that's why all of those holograms are urging you to be a Quisling to the demons, but it's good to see that the employees are at least sane and fighting back. Also, BFG 10000 looks amazing XD Of course they'd just make it bigger. But I wonder what it's shooting at in space.

Also that demon city looked amazing. Wonder where it is.

I love that they're bringing a ton of old enemy designs from the DOS games back, esp. the undead marines, and they even ramped up the gore to even more ridiculous levels.

I do wonder what the story will be behind the Marauder. An attempt to kill the Slayer by imitating him?

Plus yeah, all of the new enemies look great. I wonder if Hayden will just be the main threat for like the opening level, since the Doom Slayer gets that sword back.

I've watched multiple reaction videos by this point and frankly, I'm a bit miffed that nobody seems to care that the Doom Slayer has a fucking gatling shotgun now.

I saw that XD I was going "WOOOOOOOOAH" every time he pulled out a new weapon.

Also I'm really enjoying the thought of this game being on a much bigger scale.

Unless those flying demons are revenants.

I like how this is looking so far. Earth looks like it went through some really nasty shit, sadly doubt anyone is alive there, and Phobos is an warzone which I find really cool.

Flying demons like what? The ones with the bat wings I think are Imps of some kind, but if you're talking about the Cacodemons or Pain Elementals, then no, those aren't Revenants.

I know what the Pain Elemental and Cacodemon's look like. I was just curious were the Revenants and Summoners are. Although the archvial may replace the summoner.

It wouldn't surprise me if there was more Imp types though. The new imps look a bit different, spikier, already.

Also, I know the novels of the original Doom games were...terrible...but all the lore of the reboot series makes me really want some books about it. Maybe one about the Slayer's initial rampage through Hell, stuff like that.

Yeah, genuinely curious whats going on here and why Doom Slayer got an upgrade.

The only thing I can find is Hayden got everyone on Earth killed.

There looks to be an couple brand new enemies actually, if not more. There is an demon that looks like an skeleton strapped to a very high tech floating tank.

And the Marauder whom while also looking scary as hell has been heavily implied to be an former praetor.

Wait, is there even a Resistance on Earth that's at least trying to fight off the demons? Because it sounds a bit odd that only the UAC staff and Elite Guard on Phobos would be the only humans around.
