Queens of the Ancient World

I'm not sure why but I really like the Mayan queen in that picture.

I did a sketch of the monk from Diablo III. I think it turned out pretty good considering I've never done any serious life drawing prior to about a week ago.

@Mr AHR it's nice seeing again your stuff !

Fallen Legend: Nice that you liked that design, but I am still undecided as to what style to depict her in. That was serious style type B, with subtypes A and B being displayed. Reason for this is because if she goes the energetic girl route, then I would have to go with a particular style, while if she goes with the more serious personality, then the more serious style would suit her.

Some more character drawings. After weeks, I'm finally narrowing it down. Ironically enough, although the Knight's style in the previous post is finished, it would only suit it if the story was mostly serious. If I go either humorous or middle road, the wackier styles would fit better.

In this image, if you look at the bottom, from left to middle, that is the more expressive, humorous style I might pick if the Princess is an energetic type. The designs on the right with the check marks is a style the falls between the humorous style and the more serious style that is found above it. Here is the image: Princess Pierra and Knight Gofiro.

Yes, and I think her name will be Pierra, pronounced Pi-eh-rra. The character from the webcomics had her name pronounced Pi-ra and a single r.

I was trying to design the Ninja and flower girl to be more stylized, but failed since I made this in an a day where I just wasn't able to get designs right. Phantom and flower.

The line work on this is good, the design however was somehow off.

From a brainstorming session. Once again, you see the humorous style at bottom right/middle. The serious/humorous style for the princess can be seen just above the left bottom corner. Design Brainstorm.

The serious/humorous design, for the Knight and Princess. It will either be this, or the pure humor design that I will most likely settle for. If I had to go for the serious style, I would have to train a lot more, since I have trouble drawing expressions in that style. I mean, She just doesn't look expressive enough in that style.

Question: is the Knight really tall or what? He looks, perhaps by comparison, really tall.

Shadow Dimentio: In comparison to the Princess, yeah, but in comparison to other knights, he's about half their size or less usually.

Here are some more brainstorms.

I was trying to design a "unique knight" who would be in command over elite knights. There would be about 10 total, and they would be stronger than normal, a prerequisite for leading other knights. This knight was to be a heavy defense type.

This is the humorous style for the protagonists, with skeleton frames to show their proportions. Knight Gofiro and Princess Pierra 2.

For the top of this image, I had taken the original Princess design for the new era and tried to work with it, and it didn't really lead anywhere, the lower half is me playing with the humor style, which in my opinion is very expressive with how the Princess makes her impression.

it's ok I am totaly biased for her original design, there is something of it that expresses feminity and power that makes me favor it..

I like the original much more than the other one. She looks much more cute when is being expressive
