Samus: Hmmm? Oh...well, might as well say the bad news first, Kayla.

Kayla: We all have a lifetime ban from the Quicksands hotel and casino.

Samus: ... Okay, and the good news?

Kayla: I made enough money to keep us all fed for a while.

Samus: Well, that is good news indeed.

...Are the good news and bad news correlated, by the way?

Kayla: -Has a sly grin-

Samus: ...

Well! I think that tells me everything I need to know then. At least it will give us enough time to work out a plan for when this whole "Jupiter" thing blows over.

Asagi: A practical idea, but two issues with it.

One, next to none of the mages we know are practical save for a few. Two, we'd need to track the rest down. They scattered themselves to the winds. And they're like cancer cells. Any that are out long enough just make more of themselves somehow, and then we're back into this mess.

Kayla: Hey, I'm practical.

Samus: You're one of the few that I mentioned.

Kayla: I think we can bribe Kasumi with food.

...And bribe Dean with Kasumi. >.>

Samus: We can bribe them, but that tactic only works so long.

...That and I suspect Kasumi is one of the reasons we've been roped into this whole "Jupiter" thing in the first place.

Kayla: It's usually either her or Luna.

Samus: Usually.

It's amazing thinking how much trouble we attract by being ourselves, to be honest. Not even intentionally.

Kayla: Next time, we should be more low-key.

Samus: That might be hard, having the king of england walking around in broad daylight and propositioning herself.

Kayla: She is?

Samus: Yeah. Whatever's in the alcohol here has gotten her ridiculously sauced up. If I didn't get her a few minders, she'd be trying to bed the mayor of this town.

Kayla: So, since we have so many money issues, why not, like...

Ask Bowser for a loan?

Samus: I'm really trying not to get involved in even more money issues. We already lost nearly everything to a bank. I'm doubtful the monarch of a country full of ghosts, skeletal warriors and sentient turtle dogs is going to be any friendlier towards paying back those loans.

Kayla: Aren't you two friends?

Samus: We are. But I'm not sure that she would give preferential treatment just because we're good friends.

Kayla: Makes sense, I guess.
