https://twitter.com/homestuck/status/1323813316360310785 no one under 18 can read homestuck anymore
Didn't Candy!Dave turn into a robot? It's been a while since I read the epilogues, but I distinctly remember that happening.
jamie-b-good.tumblr.comWasnt that Meat!Dave?
That Dave is on the spaceship heading for Dirk's planet.
jamie-b-good.tumblr.comMaybe this is the timeline where Dave got sucked into Pesterquest?
Did anyone who was over 18 during the original run actually read Homestuck?
"It's just a show; I should really just relax"I'm guessing they're counting Candy Dave's mysterious disappearance as a death, despite it not leaving a body behind. Candy!Dave's body couldn't handle his Ulimate Self conversion, same as Rose's on Meat.
The Crystal Caverns A bird's gotta sing.Is that a trick question?
"And as long as a sack of shit is not a good thing to be, chivalry will never die."I was 15 when I started reading.

jamie-b-good.tumblr.comIt started in 2009, right? I was 26 back then. And I may have started reading a year or so in (I noted it was at the moment Rose was burning her books).
"And as long as a sack of shit is not a good thing to be, chivalry will never die."I think I was around 18 whe nI started reading. Also what was that about a visual novel in the twitter post?
They're reffering to the Friendsims and the Pesterquests. Both of which are rated M officially. Mostly for language really.
The Crystal Caverns A bird's gotta sing.im pretty sure candy dave did leave a body behind his soul/essence just left his body and it was left there beside holographic obama
I read Homestuck at 16, when it was getting around to the end. I admit though the comic is definitely not for children and an M rating is appropriate. From the density of the swearing to the bloody violence to the sexual jokes to just about everything relating to Caliborn, I could not call Homestuck family friendly.
It's not like an M rating actually stops children from reading it, anyways.
Mostly does better things now. Key word mostly. Writes things, but you'll never find them. Or you can ask.The age rating tweet is a very late response to the fucking wave of teens acting like moral guardians that have been harassing the HS/WP team since the Epilogues dropped. A lot of these folks are acting like Homestuck is essentially YA lit when it's very much not.
That's extremely on-brand, honestly.
Dopants: He meant what he said and he said what he meant, a Ninety is faithful 100%.I'm completely out of the loop on the latest Homestuck drama but a good amount of YA lit has similar or higher amounts of sex, death, etc. Yes there is "mature" content but I always thought that made it more relatable. Teens in real life swear, talk about sex, question their sexualities, and deal with the deaths of people close to them.
I started reading Homestuck at 18 after being badgered to read it througout my teens, but I always got the impression that I was older than the main fanbase.

"Have a good day. Have a good week. Have a good month. Have a good year. Have a good life." ~CiviaHow long is it, would you say?
Oh God! Natural light!
Dave didn't say goodbye to Jade either. I wonder how she feels about that. Although I have to agree that the active war is probably more immediately important ...
