Bulbasaur is adorbs.
They're now selling 180cm long life-size Furret plushies. I choose to take this as completely canon as to how huge Furret is.
Furret is nightmarishly huge and I love it.
Well, the pokedex entry is 1.8 meters...so life sized ftw.

I thought it was smaller, but I like this more. Perfect size for hugging!
Here's a crazy idea for a Pokémon: an evolution for Bisharp. This hypothetical one I shall call Venoking. Bisharp would evolve into this thing after it's been traded while holding a Poison Barb. Typing is Poison/Steel and it gets a Signature Move in Venom Blade. It's a Steel-type attack that can poison its target and if used against a Fairy-type Pokemon the move will badly poison them. 10 PP, 80 Power, and 95 accuracy.
x5 My inner child is wanting one very, very badly.
If it faints, do you lose the match, no matter how many Pokemon you have left?

If Venoking faints, you do not lose the match unless no other Pokemon are in battle-ready condition. Its only ability is Sturdy though, so it cannot be taken out in one attack unless the opponent has Mold Breaker.

I see France exists in the Pokemon world now. Good for America to have a buddy.
Dammit../.

"We're all paper, we're all scissors, we're all fightin' with our mirrors, scared we'll never find somebody to love."x3 Then I recommend changing the name. You're not a proper King piece if your defeat doesn't result in your player losing the game.

Venoqueen? Honestly, the other two pieces would be downgrades methinks.
By the way, what does everyone think of the hypothetical Bisharp evolution being a Poison/Steel hybrid?
Edited by CybranGeneralSturm on Feb 15th 2019 at 6:44:45 AM
Ask Karx and he will tell you that it should remain its Dark-type.
If you ask me, I probably would have slap Eviolite on Bisharp instead if Venoking exists. Not sure if that's a good idea or not since Bisharp needs Black Glasses or Life Orb for power boost.

Bisharp has an unique typing, a respectable stat total, evolves above level 50, and its chess theme is a localization deal.
Bad idea.
I don't think that there are any Poison/Steel hybrid Pokemon around so it's still unique, and Venoking would still follow the chess theme from localization. Venom Blade would be really nasty against Fairy types though due to good damage and badly poisoning them.
The point is that it's only in localization that there's a chess theme, so you're trying to design a Pokemon that doesn't make sense in Japan.
Yeah, well, Japanese Bisharp is stupid, and the developers are stupid for not giving it a chess theme. Good thing the translators realized the error of their ways, it's much cooler with a chess theme than without.
It’s an evil samurai archetype with influence from tokusatsu villains.
It chess theme is honestly not that cool, because it doesn’t do anything with it, because it’s not an actual influence on its design.
Not that it stopped English speaking fans from giving Mega Bisharp/Bisharp evolution chess theme. The result usually isn't pretty.
I personally think that Bisharp should emphasis more on axes instead (wink wink).
It's meant to be an evil samurai? I always thought it was a Roman soldier, what with the head crest.

Bulbapedia says it's based on a traditional Japanese bandit leader wearing samurai armour.

They need to add England next
New theme music also a boxI wouldn't be too surprised if there will be a region based on China in a future Pokemon game.

The Jade Emperor and the Monkey King could be the Box legends for said Chinese region.
Yes, Infernape is already based on the Monkey King, but he doesn't have the more mythical parts of the Monkey King's story. The Roaming legends could be based on the Cardinal Deities, who originated in China, and the their master could be the Golden Dragon of the center.
