This contest actually just had the best ending ever when it was revealed that the person who impersonated the admin, Allen, to try to get Reddit to stop the rallies was none other than ALLEN'S OWN WIFE.

If he was joking, then that means Allen flat-out lied to both the Board 8 community and the Reddit community regarding his actions during the semi-finals. We already have proof that whoever contacted the Reddit mods to get them to stop the rallies was using Allen's official Reddit account, the one he normally uses for AMA threads.
So either Allen was trying to sabotage both sides of a contest that was worth actual money in prizes and bring on the wrath of everyone involved, or his wife really did hack his account.

Yes, he was.
The Bonus Match was created as a real final match without Draven's presence to ruin it. He lost, you can call Canon Discontinuity or believe what you want, but Draven was kicked out and Link won. Whether its predictable or not, that's reality.

Just ignore Mage of Fire. He and a bunch of other GFAQ users think it's funny to pretend Draven was disqualified and Link won again for the 7th time to annoy people who don't have their heads buried in sand like an ostrich. The best thing you can do to these people is to ignore their existence just like they're so good at ignoring reality.
The official wiki has already been updated with Draven as the winner, so everything's pretty much done.

Nothing wrong with it either. I am slightly surprised he didn't get disqualified, but the fact is, he didn't despite all that. Which means he won fair and square.
If anything, it looks more like he got less votes than normal. So he would've won either way related to the other events. Bonus matches are just that, bonuses. They are not the true final match, just a fun extra for people.
Rallying when it's encouraged to do so lacks the ability to be douchebaggery as well, fyi.
