So anyone read the latest issue? Mentally restored Ixis Naugus FTW! Though I am a little conflicted about Geoffery being apparently magical.

I read it a while ago. That first thing is certainly neat. The second spoiler...I'm still not sure how to feel about this.

Weren't there some issues with Geoffrey's backstory that weren't ever quite resolved? Antoine attacked him that one time over his suspicions that he couldn't be who he claimed he was, because the post he claimed to hold had been filled by Antoine's father.

I vaguely remember that.

I think that happened about one hundred and fifty issues ago.

It's issue #46, to be exact. The one where they're making an obvious concentrated effort to rehabilitate Antoine's Cheese Eating Surrender Monkey image. It's hard to go wrong with punching Geoffrey, but I could have done without the pages of exposition afterwards. Anyway. Point being, they never resolved that? I'm less inclined to view this development as an Ass Pull if it's built on that.

I honestly think it might have something to do with it. In #220 Antoine looks absolutely livid over the Geoffrey thing, much moreso than Elias and Sonic who had more personal reasons to dislike the guy. And it's Ian's style to resurrect stuff like that. I mean, he brought back Sir Connery — okay just to kill him off, but still, he was a one-shot character with negligible impact on the plot and yet somehow that warranted a resolution.

Let it be known: If #225 or #226 is a reboot, I am going to hunt down Ian Flynn and give him a swift kick in the shins. If it is not, then all is well.

Why do people seriously think it'll be a reboot?

If it was, it wouldn't be #225, it'd be #1.

A pseudo-reboot where Naugus conquers New Mobitropolis? It'd be more interesting when he and Eggman butt heads over territory.
