I see Lupa's happy to have him back. That is quite neat.
Let's hope he stays unsuspended
New theme music also a boxLets hope he stays sane.
How about both. Let's hope for both.
So do Alison and Noah no longer hate each other?
Also, I think staying suspended would probably have been good for him. The guy's seriously addicted to Twitter. People like him are the reason why I'm determined to never open a Twitter account.
Allison had mentioned he apologized to her regarding their incidents in the weeks following it. She mentions that they buried the hatchet in the channel awesome doc.
Well, that's nice to hear. Shows that a sincere apology can go a long way.
Something interesting happened with Spoony today.
He set up a stream like usual(of Cuphead this time), and by the end of it asked the chat what next game to put in and it devolved into an argument about Persona 5 and how you can apparently blackmail a teacher who moonlights as a prostitute or something into a relationship or how I understood it(I haven't played Persona 5). Spoony called that sexist and horrible, and his own chat went "UR SJW" on him.
He also confirmed that he has nothing to say about Channel Awesome.

I have not played Persona 5, but that does sound horrible.
Its been a minute since I played the game, but I'm pretty sure the idea was that your teacher was moonlighting as a maid because she was being blackmailed for money. That wasn't the protagonist's deal. I'm pretty sure advancing that link fixes that problem, too. You can romance her, though. Which is weird.

Mega Man fanatic extraordinaireshe was moonlighting as a maid but the game makes it very clear that she offers other services as well. She never offers it to the protagonist though
" I did the right thing, didn't I? It all worked out in the end." "In the end? Nothing ends, Adrian. Nothing ever ends."@Luminosity: I thought the consensus was that a sizeble part of his fanbase consisted of assholes, so this shouldn't come as a surprise.
I can't have you close, so I become a ghost and I watch you, I watch you.I romanced Kawakami. I understand its problematic elements but I feel they are exaggerated. From P3 and on Persona has been a self-insert fantasy with dating elements. Basically it is blatant wish fulfillmentand that is okay.
I respect those who dislike it but that is the point of having multiple love interests. Date whoever does it for you.
It's definitely iffy to have this as an option at all in a mainstream game. Especially since the same game also has a teacher who abuses his power to rape students as one of the antagonists. The whole thing is just kind of creepy and probably shouldn't have been included at all — it doesn't really add anything to the game in terms of storytelling or anything.
Disgusted, but not surprisedSo... hows things with Spoony these days?
Was watching his Ultima reviews, I'm now mostly through 9. Seems like half of his issues with the game boil down to "the game tries to explain too much and doesn't trust the player to find out on their own/assumes the player is a complete newcomer to the series/genre."
Optimism is a duty.I assume he's effectively retired from reviewing. His site isn't even running any more.
According to a tweet from a few days ago he's been mostly bedridden for days with depression.
Man, that ending to his Ultima 9 review was dark, especially now. Talk about harsher in hindsight...
Optimism is a duty. That ending was just as harsh at the time. The finale was released probably a few weeks after his big Twitter meltdown and his departure from Channel Awesome. The Reality Subtext is very present, and I don't think Noah was entirely acting during his breakdown at the end.
Knowing what happened to him afterwards, it just stings for different reasons.
The Ultima retrospective was both one of his greatest series and eerie foreshadowing.
Disgusted, but not surprisedFor what little it's worth, he's been doing some video game streams again.
"But don't give up hope. Everyone is cured sooner or later. In the end we shall shoot you." - O'Brien, 1984The talk in the Folding Ideas thread got me curious.
For fans/former fans, hat is your opinion on Noah's old content in TYOL 2021?
I think his riffs absolutely hold up. I love Phantasmagoria 2, I love Ripper. I haven't rewatched any reviews in a long time, though.

I think it's safe to say Lindsay Ellis was the only person from Channel Awesome who had any kind of talent and certainly enough to last beyond the content Noah and Doug made to please 10 year old boys.
I'd be very surprised if any of the posters in here were ten back then. I know I wasn't, nor was anybody on Spoony's forums.
Obviously you just meant to call all of us childish or juvenile which is fine. I have no problem admitting I was more childish ten years ago. But that doesn't mean everything a person enjoys while younger is bad.

Yeah, that's the one. Suspension must've run out
