This is the thread we use to talk things over with people who have received a suspension notice. A lot of the time the notice goes out just so we can explain how seriously we take certain things, not because we want the person to feel bad and go away.
If you're suspended, give What to Do If You Are Suspended a read, then post here to begin your appeal. We try to respond to appeals in order via batch posts every few days. If a moderator has responded to your appeal, you will receive a notification in your private messages, even if you're suspended from PMs.

Don'ts
- Don't be rude. Rule 1 applies here, too.
- Don't try to negotiate your suspension outside of this thread, such as by sending Private Messages to moderators or posting elsewhere. Such activity may be thumped or otherwise removed, and may warrant an additional suspension block if it keeps happening. All communications have to take place within this thread.
- Don't respond to other suspended users. This is a place for you to discuss your suspension, not others'.
- Don't post multiple times about your appeal if it hasn't been a few days since your last reply from us, since it makes it more difficult to compose responses. If you've posted, we're likely looking at it, and kindly request you to be more patient.
- Don't make another account to try and get around your suspension. This is called ban evasion and will get you bounced. (Again, read What to Do If You Are Suspended if you don't know what these words mean.)

I absolutely was not doing nothing but complaining. And again: if posting a work under Broken Aesop or Unintentionally Unsympathetic is "complaining" then every single person who posted anything under those tropes should be suspended.
And per "edit warring": what happened was that I added examples, one person thought they had complete authority to decide what was and wasn't valid examples (including on a YMMV page), and I explained how their reasoning for removing the examples was faulty. Why in the world is the blame of "edit warring" placed on the person who has their addition removed, rather than someone who decided they're the sole arbiter of what is and isn't allowed?
Not to mention (again), when I did offer revised examples for the trope pages, NO ONE ACKNOWLEDGED THEM. And no one actually pointed out what was wrong with the examples I was providing in the first place.
Also, you've done nothing about how the Pretty Cure thread is a shithole of whining, so clearly negativity IS allowed for certain works (especially when overall fan reception to Star Twinkle has been very positive): https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/posts.php?discussion=13227496450A34849900&page=202
So again: All it feels like is that I pointed out acknowledged common criticisms of a work users here felt no one was allowed to say anything negative about. Including people who post negative tropes about and complain about other works.

Oh, and for "negativity and complaining is not allowed", here's Stillborn Franchise:
- Anthem ends on a rather obvious Sequel Hook; but mediocre sales and reviews, coupled with constant technical issues and a declining player base have led to Bio Ware abandoning the planned roadmap of content updates in favor of reworking the game to fix its issues from the ground up.
This is a game that hasn't stopped receiving new content, that's one of the best-selling games of the year, and by all accounts has a very healthy playerbase. So how the hell is it "stillborn"? How come no one has corrected that, removed that bashing?
Is it because that's a work people think it's cool to bash?

Although not clear at first after their first fight, Jazmin and Reiko have sisterly rivalry stemming from her living under her shadows as a ninja and the assumption that Reiko would take over as the head of Godai Academy of Ninjutsu. Annoyed with her older sister's carefree attitude and pranking antics, Jazmin continues to train diligently in martial arts with her mother. Despite her serious training, Jazmin does lessen her serious attitude with the friends she has made overseas. Despite losing to her sister yet again in her demonic mode, Jazmn does come to better respect her sister.
After one date with Raven, she has been obsessed with Quick and has turned her jealousy towards Chrissy. Believing to be more upbeat and care free when it comes to certain matters, Raven has turned to Trevor as a means of splitting them up despite lacking any trust in him. After spending more time with the primary group, Raven realizes that she could not compete with Chrissy and the other girls when it comes to garnering Quick's affection.

I was banned from some forums and my signature all the way back in 2012 I think. A very long time ago and I haven't got to appealing it until now. I was very young and had a lot of maturing to do and passions to see past. I'm not like that anymore. ~KelvinG: Our experience is that people who come in here to complain about things (or people) and then edit war over it don't stop just because they were suspended. It would be better if you completely avoided Real Life topics and did what most people here do: discuss tropes in works. That is, after all, the core purpose of TV Tropes.

~The Mr AMP: I'm still not seeing it. That example is so low-key that it is tunneling under the ground. The Rival is never a subtle trope. You might be looking at Sibling Rivalry instead.
What you said earlier about taking requests for trope examples from Discord and adding them in bulk is problematic. Tropers shouldn't be proxies for other tropers; you should do your own work. Write in your own words. Those other people can't be suspended or reminded of proper style and etiquette, but you can; ergo, you become responsible for everything they do.

~doomsday524: The only place you are currently banned from is the On-Topic Conversations forum. I looked back through your history and yeah, you were pretty obnoxious with your political opinions. For example, asking why it's "okay" for blacks to be racist against whites but not the other way around.
People do change, and it has been a while, so I'm not completely opposed to giving you another chance, but maybe you could give us a little sample here of what you would like to discuss and what your opinions about it are before we take the leap of faith.

~Raf97: I have to ask: if you know the reason, why did you get suspended for it? Anyway, it's mainly for Edit Warring on that article. A new work's release often brings out a lot of people with strong opinions, but that's not an excuse to ram your thoughts into the wiki like a bull in a china shop. Also, you are misusing Unfortunate Implications: Tumblr posts are not acceptable citations. Also also, "Kids are gross"? Really?

1) I was joking about the kids. I have many defects but hating children isn't one of them
2) I apologise i didn't know about the rules against Tumblr
3) Yeah, i should have realised it sooner. I apologise for my behavior and i promise to behave better, including stop reposting the same stuff without discussing peacefully about it.

@fighteer Just shows and movies really, entertainment media. The purpose of this Wiki. What opinions are you asking for? I was very young in 2012, I've matured and mellowed a lot in 8 years, but I hope you're not asking if I've gone in the opposite direction or "converted". This Wiki is not a soapbox, for either side to try to push a point. We're not reverse-Conservapedia. I don't really have interest in promoting an ideology here either way.
Not anymore. I've learned my lesson. I'm very civil and non-disruptive now.

@fighteer If I were to ever feel like posting there, I wouldn't be uncivil or disruptive. You have my word on that. Primarily I want to be able to edit my signature and personal page again, I'm reminded I can't edit those whenever I sign in, and have the option of chatting there if I chose. The forum ban was justified at the time, but 8 years later I'm not like that anymore. Yeah, I would never say anything like the example you cited anymore, I'm pretty embarrassed I said that one about racism.

Suspended for an unintentional edit war (Double reversion) where I said Persona 5 Scramble the Phantom Strikers isn't exactly a sequel to vanilla.

This is my third time trying to correct this and this is why I had been suspended, I guess. I had also been reached to the editor (Metaverse) every time I tried to do so via PM and edit reasons and his stance is still firm.
I promise to actually wait until launch date (6 Days Later) and full reveal (Around 2-3 days later at least) to reach a conclusion, and I will not touch or discuss that issue until that time comes. Also, if someone undos my edit twice and I can't convince my point past, I'll just put that aside until an objective and official conclusion can be made.
Can you please restore my editor rights? Thanks!
