This is the thread we use to talk things over with people who have received a suspension notice. A lot of the time the notice goes out just so we can explain how seriously we take certain things, not because we want the person to feel bad and go away.
If you're suspended, give What to Do If You Are Suspended a read, then post here to begin your appeal. We try to respond to appeals in order via batch posts every few days. If a moderator has responded to your appeal, you will receive a notification in your private messages, even if you're suspended from PMs.

Don'ts
- Don't be rude. Rule 1 applies here, too.
- Don't try to negotiate your suspension outside of this thread, such as by sending Private Messages to moderators or posting elsewhere. Such activity may be thumped or otherwise removed, and may warrant an additional suspension block if it keeps happening. All communications have to take place within this thread.
- Don't respond to other suspended users. This is a place for you to discuss your suspension, not others'.
- Don't post multiple times about your appeal if it hasn't been a few days since your last reply from us, since it makes it more difficult to compose responses. If you've posted, we're likely looking at it, and kindly request you to be more patient.
- Don't make another account to try and get around your suspension. This is called ban evasion and will get you bounced. (Again, read What to Do If You Are Suspended if you don't know what these words mean.)

@Deadbeat Loser 22 You're right, I SHOULD practice what I preach. Just because I don't like the percieved agenda behind a work doesn't mean I get to complain about it in the article (That's what the reviews section is for!), and by not doing so, I'll have set a good example for other editors. And yeah, I'll give more context in my examples from now on.

...So after over a week, still no reply. This is the kind of moderation we have here, folks. Guess it doesn't matter anyway, because I am DONE with this site. You wanted me to edit based on fact and not on agenda, but I've been following that more than other users have. I point out the faults of a poorly-made cartoon, only for its blind megafans to get rid of my edits despite them counting as examples according to the tropes used. And for what? Because of an agenda? This is literally an ad hominem attack, specifically of the circumstantial variety. It wouldn't matter if my agenda was to disembowel puppies to fuel a doomsday device to blow up the Earth and replace it with a communist empire; the edits I made were still based on truth.
I don't care if there was any chance I could have been unbanned. If I wanted to continue editing, I'd make a new account. You can count on that not happening. Keep your website how you want it because I don't want to contribute to something so biased and dishonest.

~Vulgar Bee: Example context and indentation are not things you can ignore. Also, you have a habit of using tropes incorrectly. You must correct these problems.
However, the major problem is your continued rudeness towards people trying to help you improve your wiki contributions. This is something we cannot tolerate. It's also why your PMs were suspended as well as your wiki editing.

~Bismuth83, honestly, I'm not sure how convinced I am that you won't create issues down the link. Single issue wonks hardly ever manage to stay true to their promises to avoid that one topic.
However, I'll give you a chance. But keep in mind that this was your second suspension, so a third will be a permanent removal of editing privileges.

OK, I got suspended from editing because, of all things, I was citing less than positive opinions that many people do have and have expressed regarding a certain character that a lot of other fans really like in a series' YMMV page, the editor who got me banned apparently being one such fan who couldn't stand the sight of his baby getting anything less than appraisal.
I really don't understand the Double Standard that's at play here - it's a YMMV page: it's allowed to say "character X was/is unpopular with the fandom" or "character Y comes off as Unintentionally Unsympathetic to fans because..." about many other characters, yet this one character is above such criticism and can only be said to have gotten wonderful Character Development and unanimous fan approval? Since when did this become a practice here? Since when was writing entries that acknowledged the reality of some differing opinions become a violation of wiki rules?
If you could, I'd like to be unsuspended and that one user (Epicocity) should get a talking to about this, please?

~A New Man: The issue isn't the opinions you're pushing per se, but the fact that you are edit warring over them. You have also added incompatible examples to YMMV.Thor Ragnarok: a character cannot both be a Base-Breaking Character and The Scrappy.
If these additions are contested, you must discuss them. That is an inviolable rule of our wiki. If you can't understand and accede to this, then we have no use for you.

I am perfectly willing to discuss them, but in this instance I wasn't given then chance. Instead of P Ming me or even starting a discussion about the edits in the discussion page and inviting me to argue my reasoning for them, I was suspended out of the blue.
If I'm unsuspended, I'm not going to go back to edit warring, but I would like the edits to be discussed.

An edit war occurs when an edit is made, deleted, and made again. At that point, the person making it again gets suspended. The fact that you don't recognize this (or are willfully ignoring it) doesn't improve your case.

But I just said that I don't intend to go back to edit warring if I'm unsuspending. Meaning no adding back anything I'd wrote that got deleted - I'm just going to let the deleted edits go and actually discuss what should or shouldn't be added instead before I attempt any edits.

What you said and the tone of your reply are at odds. You said you wouldn't edit war, right after asking us why we hadn't also suspended the other party(ies), who acted correctly by reporting the problem. You also implied that they are in the wrong for disagreeing with you. This attitude needs to get lost.

Huh? If you look at my original post again, I never once asked, or even suggested, about suspending the other party. I'd said I'd like that user to be talked to about the reasoning for reporting me in, but not suspended. I'd like to be unsuspended and would not like anyone else to get suspended.

Yes, I take it back. That was before the issue of the edit warring I was doing was brought up, so if that's the true reason for my suspension, then I'm actually more understanding of it.

My editing privilege was suspended for claiming wrong Pokémon types (such as switching the secondary types of three Pokémon [Dark to Fighting, Ground to Dragon, and Fighting to Dark]).
I have never seen any of those species' Pokédex entries, or owned either of those three species (Chesnaught/Greninja/Torterra).
I promise to never tweak around Pokémon types again.
