Ironically, they make Jing more of a big deal because she failed to kill the first emperor.
Wake me up at your own risk.Abigail at least is a major player in The Crucible, which is a super famous and important play. albeit the play/book also severely changed her age and her role in the whole situation, so take that as you will.
"There's not a girl alive who wouldn't be happy being called cute." ~Tamamo-no-MaeIs Altera really a genderflip if she's not actually Attila the Hun?
It probably would have made more sense for her to be introduced in Extella first rather than in GO to be a puzzling enigma for so long.
How do lizards fly?I know more about that Code Geass character named after Jing Ke than I do about Jing Ke.
She was supposed to be released in Extella first, but it got delayed.
And what do you mean about her not actually being Atilla? She is. And her backstory for that situation is duuuuumb in a way it doesn't really need to be.
Thinking about it, it is cool to see Ahasuerus to appear as an actual person. It reminds me that I heard someone say that Shroud of Turin and one of the holy nails got mentioned.
A lot of Christian stuff.
Continue the bloodline, Fujimaru!Karna is all-around overpowered because he is a Hindu demigod-turned-god and the Hindu is the Dragon Ball Super of mythologies. On top of being very strong, he has a Skill that causes people to see his stats as one rank lower than they actually are, so he gets some advantages from being underestimated.
His 4 Noble Phantasms are:
- Skintight armor that makes him only take 10% damage from anything that hits him.
- A powerful and highly spammable eye beam.
- A projectile heat nuke.
- A spear that can one-shot gods, but he can only use it if he gives up his armor. Pretty much the biggest "you hit you win, you miss you're screwed" in all of Type-Moon.
On the more situational side, he's also a Living Lie Detector and the fact he became one with Surya when he died makes him Nigh-Invulnerable against the other sun god-type Servants.
And on top of all his flashy gear, Karna is plain simply very skilled fighter. If I get novels right, even Siegfried was on his ropes, and anime gave impression that Karna was about to overpower Vlad.
Karna may not look as powerful in games because of gameplay limitations. For example, Extella can't show Karna's sheer firepower because levels don't have enough space for all the explosions he's capable of. Not areas - levels.
I think either his Eye Beam of his thrown energy spear is supposed to be classified as an Anti-Country NP because of the sheer destruction it unleashes.
And all of the other Indian Servants seem to be equally powerful: Rama is, if anything, even stronger than Karma, and his brother Arjuna (whose name I keep pronouncing Ajurna, for some reason), while weaker, has a Spirit Bomb-esque attack that can wipe out half of all the Arc Goetia demon in one-shot, and at full power is likely to be on the same level as Karna's Anti-Country attack.
And as someone else pointed out, this is all very downplayed compared to the myth: Arjuna's little Spirit Bomb attack there is capable of wiping out the planet if I remember correctly, and everything else is equally nuts, it makes Gurren Lagann look like the pinnacle of restraint.

I believe mythological Arjuna has a weapon to destroy not just the planet, but all levels of existence.
Also what do you say about archer Rama vs archer Karna - some of the most busted servants in their best classes? Would that be the battle at the world's end?

Karna's resistance to other sun type deities is wrapped up in his Divinity skill, btw. It grants him defensive bonuses against sun related divinities with less Divinity than he has. So Quetz would be fine given the Goddess Core thing, but Ozy would be at a disadvantage.

See, that type of thing is what the Divinity skill should be used for.
Looking back, I get the feeling the Divinity skill was created as a deliberately Achilles' Heel for OP Servants, so weaker/more modern ones could still win a fight despite the obvious power gap.
@Prany: Not the end of the world, but at least a whole country'd be reduced into a glass floor.
A country the size of Rhode's Island at the very least.
Explanation on Erice's powers.
Continue the bloodline, Fujimaru! Also Extraverse Karna (and maybe GO) can use a fake version of Vasavi that doesn't sacrifice his armour.
Secret SignatureChrist, just how many cheat codes CCC gives out to people!?
That's not exactly it. In CCC and Extella he can't use Vasavi Shakti to its full power because that would require giving up the golder armor, which is impossible because he was already not wearing it to begin with. He gave it away to Jinako in the first week of Fate/EXTRA.
He offers his head instead to Gil in place of it.
Every accusation by the GOP is ALWAYS a confession. Then he pulled his trousers down.
^^ That line is legit badass.
I find it hard to see a guy offering to cut off his own head particularly intimidating, but to each their own.
At least that's one boss fight the player won't have to worry about.
Gilgamesh: "You have treasures that I do not recognize. Your armor, your spear or your head. Hand one over to me."
Karna: "I gave my armor away and I need my spear to fight. If you want my head, then come and take it if you can, king of heroes."
Basically.
Some of it is clothing, I think?
How big of a historical figure is Jing Ke? In my mind, he always seemed to be more of a footnote like Abigail.
