I can understand why people would buy it if it was just for alts, sort of, but man is this a terrible purchase for anybody really.

You can't quite be as tall as 6'2 Fran but Viera are still the tallest playable ladies in the game by a decent margin.

Now that I finally figured out how to take screenshots of my entire desktop.

Here's my contribution to the Viera posts. Dark Skinned Red Head will never not be a weakness of mine.

And my Hrothgar, who I already love how he looks.

They used a remix of eScape from O11 during the Job Action trailer.

I wonder if we're going to see him again in Shadowbringers.

[up]I like to pretend the Omega robot hanging out with Alpha is the real Omega who downloaded it's AI into it.

As an aside, unpopular opinion, but i'm more interested in the First and the inter dimensional shenanigans with the Ascians than i am in the Garlean war, at least by a little bit. The Ascians have always eclipsed the Garleans as the Big Bad even in ARR, plus i'm in the mood for a traditional FF adventure and the story potential the First can bring is fascinating to me, i feel the Garlean Empire can wait in 6.0 but i will admit the transitions in the SB patch stories is jarring.

EDIT: Also what do we know so far about Gunbreaker lore? I hope future Garleans acknowledge if we fight in that class.

Well the Gunbreaker and Gunblades are completely different classes. The difference between Squall and Lightning’s styles and weapons.

I hope they don’t really compare the two now, save that for later when they potentially introduce the Gunblader class. Make it an epic rivalry between the two.

How low would Square have to stoop to introduce Gunblade as a DPS class?

Hi, I'm popping in without seeing if this has already been discussed (I've been staying out of this thread because I'm not caught up on the story)

The recent split of the Class and Job questline characters page: Isn't it Disciples of the Land and of the Hand? Currently they're just at "Disciples of Hand" and "Disciples of Land".

Trouble Cube continues to be a general-purpose forum for those who desire such a thing.

[up] it’s supposed to be yeah, the page splitting has had a few missteps like that (though I wasn’t the one to split those) so it might be worth fitting

Also I was reading some theory crafting, people noticed that the dancer dances finishing did an aoe burst, people better with numbers and estimates think that their complex dance hits as hard as a fire IV with no aoe falloff, so they’re less “not do damage” than we thought at first

Re: Gunbreaker Lore:

Supposedly it's a class tied to the Hrothgar race. It seems to involve more innate magic than the Garlean version.

Yeah, I imagine the first quest we do will go hard out of its way to lay down the combat and philosophical differences between the two, so the common folk don’t start losing their minds thinking the garleans won and that’s why gun blades are suddenly everywhere

Don't the Hrothgar come from somewhere near or in Garlemald?

Gunblade is never getting added as a DPS. I'd rather see them add more variety than a slight variation on an existing class.

It's been fun.

I wouldn't be surprised if the Hrothgar gunbreaker came first, then Garleans knicked it and turned it into something that doesn't need aether. Taking parts of cultures they "like" and assimilating it into their own is one of their big M Os, looking at how many Garleans found a taste for Samurai arts and how they hijacked Ala Mhigo's national anthem

Speaking of cultural theft, it would be amusing to go up against Garleans with a Gunblade. especially Ele Zenos, there's something ironic about beating him, with a weapon he ditched in favor of the Katana.

But as i recall, Zenos is the only Garlean Katana user, Asahi is not Garlean.

The only named one. Unless all the Imperial soldiers in Othard are conscripts there might be some that use katanas that are too unimportant to know anything about.

So what are the odds Varis or Solus use the Garlean's belief in the emperor to become a primal? i mean Hien mentions that the Garleans despite despising the beast tribes and their primals, worship the emperor with the same fervor, that's totally foreshadowing.

[up]x3 Conscripts are supposed to be sent to other regions then their homeland. So the onesin Doma and Hingaishi with katanas are unlikely to be Doman, yes.

Also, Reddit is just slammed right now with leaks of dubious veracity, if any of these are true, it seems like a shift of damage output to massively huge numbers compared to what we were dealing with in SB. I'm hesitant to post them cuz I've always been a bit too quick to hop on the leak train (even if Blufever was 100% right in hindsight), so I figure it's better to just wait 2 days for the NDA to go up and official sources to post them.
