I don't believe that for a second

I think it's gonna go Chaos > Emperor of Hell > Zeromus > Omega

I think it will go backwards through FF 1 and go Chaos, the Four Fiends, and Garland, then finish with Omega.

I'd rather have Varis turn into Emperor of Hell in the story as a Trial.

I mean if we fight the Hell Emperor, maybe Varis can turn into the Heaven Emperor.

Or vice versa.

Well, maybe. The bosses shown thus far weren't particularly hard to guess.

So many death flags for Alphinaud, hope its just a red herring!

Suzaku looking like Kuja.

Even in XIV, Kuja is still best girl.

Only...maybe three major characters on our side died in the story. Pretty much no one else ever dies.

Haurchefant, Minfilia (okay I don't know if dying is actually what happened there but I'm counting it), Papalymo, and Moenbryda is four.

So, people are saying that the voice talking in weird echoey tones through the trailer is Arbert. And the stuff being said does kinda sound like things he'd say, broken up though the context is.

"...That way...sorrow...it's been changed... Ahead looms light, expunging all form and life... Twin dooms only you can forestall. Only you. Throw wide the gates, that we may pass! Ahead looms a calamity!"

This almost sounds like stuff from Arbert's past; before he and his crew traveled to our world. That this is being voiced now tells me that something big and metaphysical is going down here, for us to be seeing a scene from his past. I did not expect to see him again for a while, if ever.

Another note from the trailer. The Omega fight seems like it's just one tiny Omega-shaped mech jumping off of a big tower in the Rift; the tower still has the big eye of Omega watching us. It would seem to me like the boss fight we're gonna have isn't quite Omega fighting for real.

It's probably just the normal-mode only version, they sprung Neo Exdeath and God Kefka on us. I could see normal players just fighting the classic beatle-mecha Omega, then Savage raiders get something beyond insane to properly cap it off.

Also, based on that leak's accuracy, it gives a bit more credence that the person who leaked it is genuinely an insider at Square. They accurately called 4.3's primal, the ending of 4.3 (the instanced story scenario), the MHW crossover, and the bosses of Alphascape (the only part that's not explicitly confirmed is Adam and Eve in Alphascape, but that's very likely to be true).

And as for the rest of his leaks? Which keep in mind these are, again, leaks and rumors, even if he does allege to be an insider.

Blue mage job, potentially coming before 5.0 (they said they wouldn't do this, BUT 4.4 has files titled for Blue Mage already datamined, so we'll likely see one introduced to forshadow similar to how they have been). Melee support dps. Supposedly being developed similarly to the way Ninja was developed, hence the pre-expac assumptions he/she made. Uses monster/primal abilities. Dancer and Soldier (Gunblade user, think Squall from VIII) jobs coming with 5.0. 2 new races in the next expac. Viera + 1 unknown (If I had to take a shot in the dark, pureblood Garlean).

I could see us having to deal with something based on Omega Mk. II (from the FFV bonus dungeon). Perhaps named Omega Mk. XIV, seeing as FFXII had a variant named Omega Mk. XII.

@regards to Minfilia.

She's not dead. She traveled to the First to absorb the excess light there and give it back to the mother crystal.

It's a "needs of the plot" Put on a Bus, they said when she leaves it could be one year, or it could be a thousand, they basically hurried her out of the door but left it open if they need to bring her back.

Pretty much so. They just wrote her out of the story since she pretty much was done.

Hydaelyn traveled to the First. Minfilia became Her voice and face when she was taken up by the Flow spell. Minfilia ascended to a higher plane of existence, but she isn't the person she was. Not anymore.

And a bit more from the same person leaking stuff. He said to look to his profile pic for more, profile pic was a picture of a bunny and a lion. If Bunny is Viera, Lion is Ronso?

I don't normally put this much faith in leaks, but he's been consistently right about things since before 4.3 came out, so...

Doesn't need to mean he's got accurate info this time. Sources and plans can change over time, after all.

I still refuse to believe we're getting TWO races in 5.0, or even one. You have to consider the following when making a new player character model:

• Skeleton rigging
• Animations
• Making gear fit to that model, which includes everything from 2.0 to now
• Voice grunts
• Customization options
• Whatever text in game that addresses the player specifically by race

I'd be very surprised if the devs can do all that for two brand new races if 5.0 comes next year.

Not much we can do except wait for fanfest, really. I really want everything discussed in that leak to be true, though.

One of the cheekier theories I've read and REALLY want to see happen is that we might see Alphinaud undergo a job change into a Blue Mage this patch as a preview for the job next expansion. His Red Mage sister is very red-dominant in her color scheme, while Alphinaud's always been very blue dominant. Put the twins together as Red and Blue mage and you get Violet.

Combine them with WHM and BLM and we'll get Voltron, or something.

I already get that in DF all the time, especially when WHM BLM and RDM are in the party at once.
