The horse is made of water, it should be able to go in the water.

The horse made of lightning should NOT go in the water. But it's okay for it to fly, we already have one flying lightning horse

Edit: What a page topper.

Basically, a non-flying mount would just be ass. And "underwater" is just flying with slower animation.

The Namazu mount underwater is sillier.

I have reservations about "The Enlightened" and his apparent scheme to set himself up as some decadent ruling elite over the rest of the downtrodden Namazu. Had enough of that horseshit in Ul'dah and I refuse to be party to setting up another system like that anywhere else.

He doesn't really do any of that in the end. Just generally bitches about the idiots he deals with.

Yeah, I was worried that the Namazu were going to be Moogles 2.0, but the series turned out to pleasantly surprise me.

(I still kinda want to take Sidurgu on a little brotrip to Dhoro Iloh at some point though)

I thought they were Moogles 2.0. I thought they were being redeemed through their beast tribe quest to make up for the bad impression they have in the MSQ.

Nah, the moogle beastmen quests were the 2.0 version where you can abuse some of them in varying degrees. It was to make up for how much of a twat they were in the 3.0 MSQ

According to a Gameinformer interview the Rathalos fight is going to have new mechanics and won't be like a typical XIV encounter.

They can't realistically port it just as is over considering XIV doesn't have twitch dodging like Monster Hunter, so I wonder how they'll compromise.

Maybe it'll be like the final boss of Stone Vigil (Hard)?

but HOW?

A mix of Stone Vigil hard and maybe Greg's first fight where it breaks off and runs after a certain point, so you'll end up chasing it down through the entirety of Bardam's mettle fighting it where the bosses would be otherwise?

A thought occurred to me.

Could Brute Justice be a reference to the Alexander Eidolon from FFXIII? I mean, it's obviously a transforming mecha shoutout, I can see that. But the full form looks somewhat like Hope's summon.

I never played 13 so I cannot say. I do know it's supposed to be based on what's basically the japanese Power Rangers.

Brute Justice is, at least in the English, a reference to the Combaticons; a Decepticon team from Transformers. The names of the robots in FFXIV are similar to the names of the Combaticons. These include Onslaught (Onslaughter), Blast Off (Blaster), Vortex (Vortexer), Brawl (Brawler), and Swindle (Swindler). The five Combaticons can combine into one massive robot called Bruticus (Brute Justice).

Well, that's interesting to know.

I was actually thinking the whole thing looked somewhat similar to Hope's version of Alexander, with Rocket Punch and the like.

In other news, I finally jumped into Eureka at length for the first time. I feel like the challenge log and the solidifying of the train strats has helped keep it from being as dumb and frustrating as people claimed it was, I'm actually finding it a tad refreshing.

Heaven-on-high was confirmed for this Tuesday. They didn't discuss any of the mechanics in the dungeon itself, but the causal content ends at floor 30, 31-100 being for hardcores. Access requires beating the Ruby Sea storyline in the MSQ and level 61.

They were being pretty coy about it but low-key confirmed the new hairstyle and Dodo mount will come from the new variant of the accursed hoard.
