If we go with the whole "Channel 44 itself is the monster" theory, it looks like these last few videos have shown humans being "possessed" by the free-floating camera viewpoints and turning into 1st-person PO Vs themselves.
Also, if this is true, what was the weird distorted figure that went after Birdwatcher a few weeks back? A separate entity?

In a bit of real life news that may or may not effect the production of Clear Lake 44, both Tim and Joseph recently announced that they have left the group. It's hard to say exactly why, but a longtweet
by Joseph seems to imply some friction in the group at the very least.

Troy has assured that Clear Lakes will go on as planned. As for stuff like We're On A Quest and other things, that's more difficult.
There is a forum thread about it on the THAC forums here but they're keeping pretty mum on what happened overall.
Could somebody bring me up to speed? I've watched all of Marble Hornets and all of Clear Lakes up to #9, and I'm not sure what's going on. Is this a continuation? Is it seperate? And what's this about the channel 44 being "evil"?

Clear Lakes is, at the very least, set in the same universe as Marble Hornets is, we see Tim handing off the tapes to Birdwatcher. Not much more is known than that at the moment.

So I am guessing that the grand unifying message behind THAC's works is "psychiatric medicine is the only thing protecting you from Eldritch Abominations.

Fairly depressing doesn't even begin to cover it.
It started about a week ago when Troy posted - with the blessing of Tim and Joseph - the explanation as to why those two left THAC: http://forums.thac.tv/forum/news-and-updates/159236-why-tim-and-joseph-left-thac
Way later in that thread Noah posted something just trying to remain positive, and Joseph didn't take kindly to it. They didn't really have any more words after that, mostly people on the forums just kind of shitposting each other.

Basically, in a TL;DR - Tim and Joseph weren't keen on how Troy was handling things, less keen on Noah being placed on the team, and things just went downhill. There's a lot of implication that Noah also had a lot to do with it, more than what Troy is saying, but that's he said she said at best. Regardless, now Troy is the only member of THAC, and given what Tim and Joseph have said quite recently I would put the odds of them ever wanting to work with Troy again at next to nothing.
