Tats has put a single-panel image on his twitter feed that makes no sense out of the context of Sinfest. (I mean no sense at all, in contrast to the usual "THIS MAKES NO SENSE!" for Sinfest.) I think it must have been intended as a panel on last Sunday's full-page comic, but for some reason Tats decided not to use it.

It makes some sense in story to label Tex as a domestic terrorist because he's currently helping look after 2021; and Devil Tech is clearly outclassed by one ex-frat boy with a shotgun

But this part of the story is really just a convulted way for Tats to say "State Fascism Is Oppressing People" as per his recent Twitter post

His Twitter post is prettly obviously showing Twitter and big tech as Fascistic Oppressors. The Nazi style influenced banner setups are a honking big signal there (Check google for "Nazi Madison Square" pictures if you want)

I'm not quite sure why he's doing the raised fist sign, since that's been an anti-Nazi symbol since before the Nazis came into power.

Probably it's because, in Tat's dream world, the Woke Twitterati are the new fascist oppressors of all that is good and pure.

Therefore the anti-fascist salute is clearly pro-fascist (in Tat's mind) because, uh, the woke tend to think he's an unlikeable twat with a chip on both shoulders

We all know, in Tat's fantasy world, that woke women are all highly attractive, submissive, sexbots programmed by the forces of Hell itself to be really good in bed.

So it's only natural for them to be politically and personally hostile to Tats and whip out the pepper spray to mace him one whenever he tries to get some

There's three options for Tats: -

1) Build up high resistance to Pepper Spray (I just checked- it is possible) so he can say more than one word to these redhawt woke ladies who torment him so by existing

I'm pretty sure he's made a lot of progress on this one

2) Retreat to his basement, dive nosefirst into the most insane parts of wacko conspiracy theories he can find, and join a new cult which might have some women in it daft or impressionable enough to sleep with him

I hear he already made henchman grade and might even make it into the inner circle

or

3) Try out some new hobbies. Get out and socialise with people. Do some voluntary work. Maybe take up internet gaming if his confidence is completely shot

And he really, really should stay off the conspiracy boards

It really says something when Q Anon lunacy in webcomic form is a massive step up in quality both in fun and storywise from, ooo, lets say, the last three years of Terfist and Swerfist doggerel

P.S. Tats storming the capitol would mean him crawling out from his rock under the bridge he's built in his refridgerator crate in his mother's basement.

So, looks like everything is still completely bonkers as of last time I looked in. I didn't think it was possible, but I've become less and less interested in the perpetual train wreck that is Sinfest.

I really doubt that Tats would be in leagues with those that stormed the capitol.

Honestly, I thought I would have gotten bored by now. Maybe it is because it is now more of an interesting psychological study. It's certainly not the strip or its content. Oh-ho NO.

To put it in perspective, I work in the hood. Today, I had a guy try to smoke crack in my bathroom. I don't know if I am just super used to those situations, but I handled it very well, and to his credit I was surprised by how understanding the guy was. The day before, I had someone steal off my shelf and tried to lie to my face about it. I had to tell him I watched him put the items in his bag and I told him to get out. It was incredibly fascinating how powerful of a liar that guy was: he almost got me to doubt my own eyes. He was probably so screwed up in the head that he fully convinced himself that he didn't have it. There is something that fascinates me about the abnormal. About the maladjusted. About the histrionic.

Sinfest fits all three of the criteria right there.

It's not the story that keeps me here. It is horrendously boring.

Tats seems to have missed that given the Party employs people to rewrite history and Goldstein's only appearance is in the Two Minutes Hate (which is clearly state propaganda) and a book to lure Winston and Julia into the Brotherhood, which is in actuality a front set up by O'Brien, it's ambiguous whether Goldstein, and indeed Big Brother, actually exist. This ambiguity is a large part of the novel because of the stranglehold the Party has on information and Winston's status as an Unreliable Narrator, through whose unreliable lens the audience of the novel perceives all information. In short, all material in which Goldstein is presented is perceived in-universe as objective, but out-of-universe is subjective because that in-universe objectivity is created by a very clear system of hints that the Party is making stuff up. These hints go unperceived by the characters because, again, everyone participating in the Two Minutes Hate is a Party member, including Winston, our Unreliable Narrator.

The problem here should be apparent - there was no narrator, unreliable or otherwise, for the fight in the street. We were given a narrator-less objective view of the event in which the events depicted on that TV screen actually happened. The fight is proved objective by its visual presentation to the audience a series of strips without the attachment of a narrator who might color it.

Goldstein looked bad in 1984 because of the nature of state propaganda when there's no outside information to counter it because the Party controls all information - again, we have no proof he exists or ever existed. The only reason Tex looks bad is that he actually was part of a violent insurrection that was objectively presented to us viewers and a violent far-right insurrection based on false election claims is not a good thing. Tats is making a lazy surface comparison and missing the entire point of 1984 in doing so.

If Devil Tech wanted to bring Tex up on charges so bad, all they'd have to do is file a complaint with the proper authorities, citing video evidence of what he's been shown in the comic strip to have actually done

Instead we get this nonsense, which is Tats trying to cyberjerk off his new militia buddies or something, and show that Tex really isn't a Q Anonite nutjob and that storming the capitol wasn't that bad a thing!

Look, even the wokeite, who wasn't there in reality, (but was in Crackpipefest!) agrees that Tex shouldn't be brought up on charges.
