Through work to bring materials from Women’s Studies into the rest of the curriculum, I have often noticed men’s unwillingness to grant that they are over-privileged, even though they may grant that women are disadvantaged. They may say they will work to improve women’s status, in the society, the university, or the curriculum, but they can’t or won’t support the idea of lessening men’s. Denials which amount to taboos surround the subject of advantages which men gain from women’s disadvantages. These denials protect male privilege from being fully acknowledged, lessened or ended.

Privilege is being used as a synonym for "ability" ... and in Real Life, ability is something that you possess or earn, as well as something that is granted by a metaphorical Patriarchy. And that is why I despise Tats' brand of "feminism" Some feminists want to enable everyone to level up for equality. Great! But Tats's feminists want to make everyone level down ... and they, the Good People, will be the ones who decide which people are "over-privileged."

I'm not sure what the point is of having the patriarchy take all the money the sex workers earn. Does Tats believe that no woman anywhere is capable of earning money for herself with sex work?

Prostitutes in Sinfest are not depicted as people (have they ever been to Tats?), they're depicted as entertainment

Tat's hypocrisy is starting reek so badly I could go on and on about this but I won't because it would take too long. He should take a long look at himself and see how far he's fallen (about a couple of inches judging from the last twenty years)

Careful with the wording, in some cases "exporting drama" also very much hits the rules on the same paragraph. "don't use our forums as a launching pad for a fight, and don't drag us into a fight somewhere else". This is a discord with opinions aligned with the thread's though, right?

Aligned? I honestly don't know. The Discord server is what remained from the Sinfest forums after Tats went full Stalin and deleted his entire old forum the first time.

It already was a community that was very different from what the Sinfest community was before Xanthe showed up. The feminist leanings were liked by a lot of the remaining people before the deletion, but didn't like the ham-fisted way of going about it and talking about the countless Unfortunate Implications of looking more deeply into Tats's writing started to be more accepted. They mostly liked the feminist message, but not the SWERF and TERF parts.

I don't know how they feel about Tats and Sinfest now. I'm not on the Discord, but I can imagine they were roughly awakened to what kind of man Tats is when he suddenly deleted the forum after it wasn't kissing his ass for simply writing feminist things any more.

But I'll never forget that there was also time before the old forums were deleted that any dissent or criticism about feminism as a whole was also swiftly booed away and shouted over by the regulars.

Similar to, but not nearly as bad as, what totally-not-a-Tats-account-in-disguise Celina is currently still doing on the new forums.

That is not how you invite people to servers That link is an outgrowth of discord's browser-based nature, but the only thing it does is switch you between channels on servers that you have officially joined. To anybody not on it, that link leads nowhere.

Skyworld server is quite a bit cross-pollinated by T Vtropers from this forum - I suppose the big difference is we tend to be a bit harsher towards Tats on this forum than they used to be

They're quite a bit more pro-feminist than a lot of us and are anti-swerf and anti-terf, which is why Tats shut down his old forum (they dared to disagree with him about Swerfisms even before he went fullon blatant Terf)

Overall, they're a pretty decent bunch of people

P.S. I can't really comment on the shouting down stuff but there were some hints of it when I did start lurking on the old sinfest forum a few years back

The old Sinfest forums were pretty much populated by people very much in the same vein as Celina. The only difference is their positions and that they didn't have any banning powers. The forum was VERY unpleasant and was filled to the brim with people looking to be offended. Once people who thought differently than the SJW crowd filtered out, it got boring even by their own admission (those who posted the most in the forum). Ironically, the absence of a common enemy led to infighting where Tatsuya's beliefs became a focus.

The Discord is still populated by many from the original forums. Most have mellowed due to the banning. Some are just as crazy as ever. I was a member of the original forum where I tried to stay innocuous. The MOMENT I posted something against the grain I was targeted en masse. Seriously. They all just posted over you and purposely twisted your words. Holding a conversation on there when you held an opposing view was an act of saintly patience.

The Discord was MUCH better. I don't know if it was because the format was different (operated more like a chat room), but it was a pretty good experience save for a few who obviously wanted to rebuild their echo chamber (and it might have been built again since I left; who knows)? I ducked out of there because the conservative and religious hate kept coming up again and again and I found myself having to walk on eggshells. Still, I enjoyed the people on there for several months. Even the people who drove me nuts would have some redeeming posts that I was able to see due to the format.

But honestly, the destruction of that old forum was almost like karma. I kinda went to the Discord see people melting down (and I wasn't disappointed) but actually ended up liking most of them. I think them losing the forum either made them more open minded or they just simply grew up a lot since I used to browse the old forums.

Noted. And my apologies — I was just being a smartass. (And I would have acknowledged the reprimand sooner, but I was off doing other things today.)

So far, there have been no conversations between that group and this one, to the best of my knowledge. When people over there have asked "Are there any other groups talking about Sinfest?" I've recommended this group a couple of times, and a few people have joined the discussion here as a result ... but that's about it.

The scrolling style of the Discord server lends itself to real-time conversations, but when there's an active discussion going on it's difficult to catch up on things if you've been away.

There is very little good will between Tats and the Discord Skyworld forum regulars. My rough estimate is that abut half of the frequent commenters are themselves trans (at various stages of transition), with the rest of the "regulars" split between lesbian/gay and straight. So you can imagine how much the gang there appreciates Tats' pro-TERF propaganda ... On his part, Tats seems to have reacted to their comments with subtle* references to his critics in the comic.

Okay i'm gonna rage on by the onomatopeia sound of ka-ching. So the sound ka-ching is usually from the cash register and should be associated with that but theres not a single cash register in sight. And normally this wouldnt upset me except how it makes the comic more stupid due to that. Onomatopoeia isnt hard Tats.

Clearly the Woke Pimp requested that the Hat Drones be programmed to make cash register noises while counting money.

He just really likes the sound, okay?
