So yeah, anything about Final Fantasy! I guess this would make a good starting point: Which are your favorite games in the series and why?
My two all-time favorites are tied between Final Fantasy V and Final Fantasy IX. They're both very fun games that don't take themselves too seriously while still being legitimately emotional. On top of that, Zidane is my favorite Final Fantasy lead in the entire series. He's light-hearted, fun, and a generally nice guy to be around. FFV also has the advantage of having one of, if not the best, Job System in an FF game. Both FFV and FFIX make characters customizable while keeping them all unique in their own way. I'm also very fond of Final Fantasy I; it hasn't aged well, but it's classic, and like FFV, I played it tons as a kid.
I assume we'll drift around to various other FF-related discussions as the topic grows, right?

Literally every other character has better chemistry with Noct than Lunafreya.
Even XIV's Warrior of Light, and they don't even talk.
Speaking off, I should totally do that quest in XV, just to see how Noctis ended up in Eorzea.

It's funny how a character from an optional scene (but important to the lore) can become such a fan favorite. Helps that Zack's personality is really good.

People are now making lemons out of lemonade by posting their own artwork of Tifa under that trend, even if it's not related to that incident.
I've managed to pillage many a piece of nice Tifa fanart for my own admiration.
...You know what? I think I'll take that as my tip to go play Final Fantasy VII again. Now, where is that official game guide I had saved on Scribd? The Materia and stats thing is going to be one of the first things I'll have to research. If I remember right, I stopped after Cloud, Tifa, and Barret get together to commit more environmental terrorism though I didn't actually leave the general area yet, mumble mumble...

Does anyone actually know where the "Tifa the sex goddess" meme came from? In their original concept arts, Tifa and Aerith are shown as about equally curvaceous, and personality-wise (pre-Compilation Flanderization, anyway), Aerith's the saucy one, Tifa's the shy one.

Still people do judge by appearances and assume Tifa is supposed to be some sort of aggressive and sultry fighter, but she is actually quite sweet and shy when it comes to love.
This actually caught her English VA for the remake by surprise.

I think its because Tifa... for some reason is into cowgirl apparel, and cowboy/girl fashion doesn't exist in VII's world otherwise.
Literally the only time I've heard Aerith described that way was in a throwaway line from FF VII Machinabridged where Abridged Red XIII describes Tifa as "the boob girl" and Aerith as "the girl with the butt."
Zelda in Super Smash Bros I get, but I never saw Aerith as curvaceous.

In the original game when I got to the Nibelheim flashback, I thought Tifa just had a stupid hair style. I didn't realize at first that it was a hat.
