Because Kinkajou told me to.
So yeah, anything about Final Fantasy! I guess this would make a good starting point: Which are your favorite games in the series and why?
My two all-time favorites are tied between Final Fantasy V and Final Fantasy IX. They're both very fun games that don't take themselves too seriously while still being legitimately emotional. On top of that, Zidane is my favorite Final Fantasy lead in the entire series. He's light-hearted, fun, and a generally nice guy to be around. FFV also has the advantage of having one of, if not the best, Job System in an FF game. Both FFV and FFIX make characters customizable while keeping them all unique in their own way. I'm also very fond of Final Fantasy I; it hasn't aged well, but it's classic, and like FFV, I played it tons as a kid.
I assume we'll drift around to various other FF-related discussions as the topic grows, right?

Y'shtola's spells look just like they do in Final Fantasy XIV, She even has Blizzard II cross classed but I guess being a White Mage doesn't leave her with much other then Stone/ Aero/ Holy naturally.
If any XV characters are going to be in it, than they will be added in the inevitable console port.
"We're all paper, we're all scissors, we're all fightin' with our mirrors, scared we'll never find somebody to love."Noctis is probably a shoe-in whenever his game gets released- Arcade games are no strangers to update patches these days.
I sure said that!Odd, I just noticed Onion Knight and Cloud are the only ones who didn't get to show off an attack. But it looks like Terra's got a new version of Graviga and Tornado while Warrior of Light's Shield of Light conjures a bunch of swords instead of a light blast.
And Terra carries her sword at all times now, that's new.

Terra also seems to have some sort of homing Ultima-ball spell similar in appearance to Kefka's take on the move, and what appears to be her Rapid-fire Flare spell, but outside of Trance. And she has her sword drawn.
As for Y'shtola, her moveset seems un-reproducible, since she has both Blizzard II (a Thaumaturge move cross-classed in), and Holy (a White Mage move), since White Mages don't get to use Thaumaturge spells.
I have a message from another time...Yes they do, its essential so you can have Swiftcast (Which you really need for quick Raise). You can crossclass Arcanist and Thaumaturge which means we can probably expect Ruin and Virus to help fill out her moveset. I do wonder what Y'shtola's EX Burst will be.
Oh and it looks like the Warrior of Light has aerial Shining Wave now!
Oh and looks like blocking is more like Smash Bros complete with the barrier.

Oh! A-durr, you're right. Somehow I forgot that jobs have secondary and tertiary classes. Thaumaturge is allowed for White Mage, it's just not required like Arcanist is.
Alright. So, if Y'shtola is a White Mage, her skillset checks out, since Blizzard II is a legit cross class skill.
As for EX Burst... I dunno. Holy might be just that. With 3 v 3, I don't think EX Bursts will be match-stopping cinematic affairs anymore.

I have a message from another time...Now the real question is...what secondary characters will be added in? *coughCelescough*
But seriously, so many potential characters. And man, that battlefield was pretty big if it was the same one. They went from the middle of the field, around rocks and even into the forest a bit. No we can have real final battles!
If it's released out of Japan.
AO 3 profile: goodygoody19If we go by TFF: CC, the starting fighters on Cosmos's side might be:
- Warrior of Light
- Firion
- Onion Knight
- Cecil
- Bartz
- Terra
- Cloud
- Squall
- Zidane
- Tidus
- Shantotto
- Vaan
- Lightning
- Y'shtola
Prishe may or may not be subbed in for Shantotto, but that otherwise looks to check out just fine.
And hey, I just realized- Everyone's going to have a minimum of six costumes by virtue of the mechanics of the game!
I sure said that!...XIV classes sound rathet interesting.
Dopants: He meant what he said and he said what he meant, a Ninety is faithful 100%.Oh Y'shtola's EX Burst might be that attack you do to free Thancred from Lahabrea's control, where everyone rushes the enemy with the Mother Crystal's power.
I was hoping the next Dissidia game would have the entire cast composed entirely of all the Cids from every game.
Alas...
and I'll bet her EX mode would be the Echo.
I have a message from another time...Either the Echo or she'll dress in the Artifact Armor for a White Mage and get Thyrus. Or Nirvana.
Lets see... Six costumes for everyone That's a lot to think about, I bet most of them will be recolours but still its nice to speculate.
Warrior of Light has four now. I think his Origins cinematic look◊ is a good guess for another and probably the GBA era sprite desgin◊.
Firion has another design◊ by Yoshitaka Amano and his Origin cinematic too◊.
Onion Knight could have an Arc and Refia costume, maybe not Refia because his voice.
Cecil has his design from The After Years◊. I'm not sure whats left for him after that one.
Bartz has a billion jobs to dress as so he's covered.
Terra has her Anthology cinematic design still◊.
Cloud still has his crossdressing escapades◊, and Shinra Infantry look◊ for his next two.
Squall has his Cadet Uniform◊ and Kingdom Hearts II look◊.
Zidane has... I guess the disguise◊ he steals from Cid's guards in Lindblum?
Tidus has his new X-2.5 design◊ and Shuyin◊.
Shantotto has a billion armor sets to choose from.
Vaan doesn't have any other designs off of the top of my head. Maybe some Tactics A2 job costumes?
Lightning has her Valkyrie◊ and Equilibrium◊ costumes.

Didn't XIII-3 give Lightning like 4 dozen costumes? She's set for life.
It did, I just assume Equilibrium and Etro Armor get the priority
I think the Amano artwork you linked for Firion is already in use as his EX Mode, though- For whatever reason, Firion's armor is slightly recolored in addition to his weapons all being swapped out for their Blood equivalents.
I sure said that!Nah its just the armor has the same colour scheme as the spiky hair costume. But the changer is the haircut anyway Firion's got like a few other designs still.
Looks like something out of Puzzle and Dragon, visually.
I have a message from another time...Already looks better than All The Bravest, too.
I sure said that! So, since I'm running out of games to play on my phone, I'm starting another FFTA run. To avoid overlevelling and staleness, I'm having a 15-man party as opposed to the usual 6, with three for each race except moogles and humans. I'm thinking:
- Human:
- Paladin/Hunter (Attack+, Marche)
- Ninja/Blue Mage
- Fighter/Thief (I need a thief because this is FFTA, and I like Fighters.)
- White Mage/Illusionist (A Nu Mou would be better, but diversity is Humans' hat, so they get the extra unit.)
- Bangaa:
- Dragoon/Gladiator
- Defender/Templar
- White Monk/Bishop
- Nu Mou:
- Black Mage/Time Mage
- Sage/Alchemist
- Morpher/Beastmaster
- Viera:
- Assassin/Elementalist
- Red Mage/Summoner
- Sniper/Archer
- Moogle:
- Gunner/Mog Knight
- Juggler/Animist.
Thoughts? I suppose I could shift the races so that humans, nu mou and moogles all get three, but moogle mages tend to suck in my experience.
Not really. Arcades are basically dead outside of Japan and a handful of giant ones that exist more as archival works by collectors. Japan's super-dense population makes arcades and especially multiplayer arcade games much more viable than just about anywhere else, too.
I sure said that!
