You want Lost And Found and Our Elves Are Better.
Reality is that, which when you stop believing in it, doesn't go away. -Philip K. DickI don't think he really wants Lost And Found. The problem is that most of the time the "Our (creatures) Are Different" snowclones are the page for the creature. They are justified by saying "it's really about how the creatures are different/better/creepier/etc." but really, it's just a page about the creature and not what it's pretending to be.
Lost And Found is how we are supposed to locate articles we're interested in. That's the whole point.
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"Now I'm convinced that this forum needs a pinned, locked topic explaining that people looking for a particular trope should ask in Lost And Found. I'd draft one myself, but I suck at those things.
I do have a title suggestion for said topic, though: "Looking for a trope? Try Lost And Found"
Ooo... can I write it?
This is a friendly reminder to all Tropers who want to find a trope. This isn't the place for it. All queries about finding tropes go to Lost and Found.
It is understandable if you are a newbie, but just don't ask for help here.
How's that?
EDIT: Oh, and I think we should start a redirecting project for all of the "Our Index Is Different" Tropes. For example, have Our Elves Are Better redirect as Elf and {Elves}} and Our Vampires Are Different Vampire Vampires Vampyres, etc.

We're discussing the Our X Is Different over in TRS.
BTW, I'm a chick.
I'm new here, so apologies if this is in the wrong place. Am I the only one who thinks there should be a page on elves? Not one about the many tropes in which elves are employed-one that details how elves have evolved and changed through mediums over time. I did a search on elves, expecting to find something like this, perhaps detailing Tolkiens effect on our modern concepts on elves, But found nothing. Some of the related elf tropes pages do have some or this kind of thing, but it's scattered about.
