Decided to have a quick look at Terrible Trio while browsing the site. Skimming through the on-page examples, I noticed a trend where more than a handful of examples are... just listing three characters, and in one case the trope was shoehorned instead because one of the named characters isn't actually on the side of the other two characters. Then I went to a few randomly chosen wicks, two of which are listed as examples of the trope which is what I was looking for as it's easier for me to gauge; both of them do the same thing, merely naming three characters.

With this in mind: would something like this be grounds for TRS if it turns out the "trend" is widespread, or is it a cleanup job only? I'm thinking it needs a wick check either way, though based on what I've seen so far I have concerns that it consistently attracts ZCEs and might even need a rename.

I did make an ensemble tropes cleanup because a majority of them do the exact same thing. It kind of got derailed, but this may be an opportunity to bring it back if we decide cleanup is necessary here.

[up] Interesting. I wasn't aware of that thread as I don't check that section too often. It could definitely be brought up there in the event the trope needs to be cleaned of zero context examples.

It definitely is a thing especially in Japan but it often gets misused.

Death is a companion. We should cherish Death as we cherish Life.
