So they're totally not bringing back Onimusha just like Exoprimal totally isn't bringing back Dino Crisis.

Anyways, looks pretty AF the character, environment and monster designs are almost too detailed and beautiful I will spend much time just staring at the game holy crud.

Gameplay... Actually kind of hard to pin down? It doesn't look like a Stylish Action Game despite the style since working with a group seems to be a big part of it.

I'm really liking the monster designs I'm seeing. Here's hoping we'll see even more awesome designs in the days to come.

Bumping this thread because Capcom recently released a few new videos about this game, including a "gameplay deep dive" which shows what the game is about and what to expect from the gameplay loop. Seems like a real time strategy + tower defense game.

The story takes place in a sacred mountain that has been overtaken by defilement. A maiden named Yoshiro can purify the defilement, but a group of monsters known as the Seethe seek her power. Luckily, she has a guardian named Soh, who is the player character, who can help lead her to tainted torii gates for her to purify and stop the spread of defilement.

During the day, Soh and Yoshiro go around purifying whatever defilement they can find and also rescuing villagers overtaken by the defilement. Rescued villagers can be assigned different roles and help prepare for the nighttime assault of the Seethe. When night comes, the Seethe appear to attack Yoshiro, so Soh needs to strategize how best to use each villager and other implements to protect her.
