This. Is so. Goddamned hype.
I'm at a loss for words.
Akira Toriyama (April 5 1955 - March 1, 2024).I may not be knowledgeable about the comic nor have I seen the live-action movie (even though I really, REALLY wanna), but I'm really excited to see this!
From what has been said about the show on the panel will this not just be a straight-forward adaptation of the comics, but there will be quite a bit of new content to make it a fresh experiance for fans.
That makes sense, the movie and the video game were the same way.
(3) The movie is probably on Netflix or Hulu. I'd definitely recommend it if you have those. The comic can be found online or probably on Amazon. It can be a bit of a slog if you read it online for the first two volumes, but it ramps up.
I'm just happy the stuff the movie adapted out has a chance to appear in this one. I think they even took that shot of Scott and Ramona leaping into a kiss from the games. The music is from Amanaguchi who IIRC did the music for the games as well.
- They took the panels/story of the comic
- Added the actors from the film
- And have the music and references to the games
Its a beautiful crossover of different elements from each previous medium this work has been in.
Akira Toriyama (April 5 1955 - March 1, 2024).The final trailer, before its release this month, is finally here:
its finally out. really starting out different from any other adaption
And by that you mean...
Every time someone claims to be realistic is a dour cynic in disguise.scott loses the first fight and gets turned into change.
…So this is a new story.
The Owl House and Coyote Vs Acme are my Roman Empire....Well, I can't say I was expecting that!
Made a recap page and a few… non-spoilery adjustments to the image caption and description of the show. A character page for these versions of the characters might be a good idea too.
The Owl House and Coyote Vs Acme are my Roman Empire.Remember when we were speculating that this would be a more accurate adaptation of the movie?
Yeah that was fun. Soon as I get home, I’m actually gonna start this thing in ernest. Because it sounds like this could get another season and I wanna support it.
The Owl House and Coyote Vs Acme are my Roman Empire.Finished it. Funny story: yesterday i was in a forum discussing the movie, and something that got brought up was that movie Ramona is barely a character. Then this adaptation gets made
I really liked it. It's basically a 'what if' sequel to the movie. It might have been nice to see a faithful adaptation but this actually made me like the evil exes; charcaters who I never really cared about in the graphic novels. Other characters like Young Neil and Julie are also great here. Plus it's just fun to see the cast in different scenarios. This adaptation works because the cast of the graphic novels/movie are the best part of Scott Pilgrim.

Okay, the next person who updates the page needs to add a spoiler warning at the top of this page. Otherwise, it will be a page full of spoiler tags.
The Owl House and Coyote Vs Acme are my Roman Empire.I want to make a suggestion for the Laconic page
Scott Pilgrim vs The World:The Animation normally
But then covered by spoiler "But it's actually:Ramona Flowers and Her Eight Evil Exes" with the syllables of "Her Eight Evil Exes" each being a trope description of each ex

You should spoil that here. People still haven’t seen it yet.
The Owl House and Coyote Vs Acme are my Roman Empire.Better?
Yes
The Owl House and Coyote Vs Acme are my Roman Empire. And just like that, won't be watching. I will not be rewarding crappy "but I subverted your expectations!" works in any capacity.
…Wow. Harsh.
The Owl House and Coyote Vs Acme are my Roman Empire.I just really, genuinely hate that kind of stuff.
It's at the point where I consider it a part of hack writing.
Maybe its uber attention to detail and wanted to have it feel anime dub-y, where the dialog and the lip flaps don't quite line up?
Or it could just be the trailer.
