Yu-Gi-Oh!: Master Duel

Im very close to making it to plat 1 with my myutants...added in a thunder dragon colossus as a tech to be even more oppressive.

That fucking Gem-Knight thing made me so angry. I would get like one monster out and the computer would flood its side of the board with Fusion monsters.

I just faced off with an opponent that summoned a Blue Eyes and a Chaos Max on the first turn.....

Then on my turn, he activated True Light which I couldn't help but facepalm at since it was the equivalent of putting a self-destruct button for his "indestructible" dragon. And considering that I was using Sky Strikers...It only took me a few minutes to clear his field, summon Accesscode, take his Blue Eyes then attack for game.

Also, I'm currently sitting at 9900 gems unable to decide on what deck to build next. I was considering Geargia because I liked the aesthetics but I'm not sure if they're good.

Geargias are in a major need of an upgrade, but if you made it to plat 1 you can just do whatever from then on. In other words, go for it, they shouldnt be too expensive

Ive done it!! Ive made it to Platnoum 1 with my beloved myutants! Adding in the nemeses archtype and thunder dragon colossus finally tipped the scales in my favor, and now i can finally play fun decks

Why can't you sort cards alphabetically in deck management! Gah!!!!

Yeah, I'd like to be able to sort cards better. I have a particular system (especially for the Extra Deck) and the game won't let me appease my bizarre needs.

What's this system?

I was able to make a D/D/D deck. Definitely not a deck I'd use in ranked (I currently run a Sky Striker deck), but it is still fun when it gets running.

>Did not draw Droplets, could not out it thanks to Ignister hand trap
>Maxx C on his next turn, Droplets all at the very bottom of my deck

This game is seriously determined to make plat 3 an impassable wall, the difference from plat 4 is insane.

XYZ Festival is Live: You can earn 2500 gems as well as legacy packs. They also added campaign limited mission gems again and 200 more gems in solos, on top of 800 for simply logging in during the event.

Eldlich is banned in the XYZ Festival

I thought I was bein' sneaky trying to put Dark Contract with the Eternal Darkness in the D/D/D deck I modified for the Xyz tournament, but it's banned. RIP.

They also said no to True Draco, Guru Control, Drytron, Nekroz, and Altergeist. Konami actual thought this format through pretty well.

I've run into several opponents that were playing self-KO decks, made to cause them to lose fast without having to surrender and miss out on rewards.

I've been doing something similar. I'm running a deck with nothing but traps that I can activate right away. Kill two birds with one stone by working on a Exhibition mission to activate 50 total traps.

ooooooh I might do the same thing. winning duels is fun but it takes forever sometimes

Just realized I didn't answer this.

I go by Level > Atk > Name when organizing, with Level and Atk going from least to greatest. For the Extra Deck I organize by card type (Fusion > Synchro > Xyz > Link) and then apply my previous ordering within those groups. Replace Level with Rank and Link Rating for Xyz and Links, respectively.

The main deck doesn't really bug me that much since the order is random during gameplay and it prioritizes monsters first in the builder, but the Extra Deck is supposed to be static. The arbitrary ordering screws with me when trying to find stuff during a match.

Here's my SelfTK list. Made entirely of Ns and Rs only. Ratio's aren't super important.

• Giant Kozaky x3
• Mist Archfiend x3
• Garbage Lord x3
• U.A. Blockbacker x1 (Can also substitute U.A. Dreadnought Dunker if you'd rather craft an N instead of an R; I just had a random Blockbacker. Playmaker and Player Manager are one level higher if you already have them, but they're URs so don't craft them for this deck if you don't already own them.)

• U.A. Signing Deal x3 (Self burn, Dunker and Blockbacker are the highest level U.A.s that are N and R, respectively.)
• Performapal Popperup x3 (Helps fix your hand while dealing burn. Deals more damage the bigger your hand so try to do this one first.)
• White Veil x3 (Best use case is to attach these to a monster that will die in the EP so you instantly proc the damage. Remember you have to destroy this on a SEPARATE CHAIN than the one it activates on.)
• Toon World x2 (There are multiple "Pay 1000" spells out there. I've also seen people use Hieroglyph Lithograph and Abyssal Designator.)
• Twister x3 (Destroys your big burn S/T, and an extra 500 to boot.)
• Cybernetic Fusion Support x3 (Pay half. Most effective when done at the start.)

• Destruction of Destiny x3
• Appointer of the Red Lotus x2 (Pay 2000. Remember that you can't kill yourself by paying, so do these before your burn effects. Also, you need to keep at least one card in hand to activate. I used to run Ring of Destruction but I found that less effective, but if you already have those you can use them instead.)
• Solemn Judgment x2 (I had an extra one so I put in two. Not strictly necessary, but it's another pay half and can stop people who are trying to prevent your selfTK.)
• Destructive Draw x3 (A card that deals 3000 to you if it's destroyed while face up. Again, it must be destroyed on a SEPARATE CHAIN.)
• Lucky Punch x3 (The big one. Take 6000 if destroyed while face up. Again again, SEPARATE CHAIN. Can also trigger when your opponent attacks you if you're (un)lucky.)

Alright. I did the Lightswornd solo story and it has clarified a key detail about the Twilightsworn.

They (and speicifially, the Twilight Cloth they wear) is just a Godzilla Threshold. No Face–Heel Turn, no Demonic Possession. The last sticking point is the context of Dark World Brainwashing though.

Healing decks being the anti-meta strategy is hilarious.

I cant believe it....I hot hard counter teamed on the Xyz Festival ladder. Decided to run Rikkas for the event, and one of my opponents ran Ghostricks. I set up my board, he plays Swords of Concealing Light....and then on my standby he flips of Mask of Restrict, a trap card that prevents cards from being tributed in any way shape or form. and since tributing monsters is included in almost every eff of rikkas, I got mowed down with ease.

EDIT: Seems there has been an update to the event! To counteract suicide decks, winning now has 5 times the rewards, and 10 times more than losing games. 500 medals for using your own deck, 250 for using a loaner deck.

I was just about to post that. It seems like It'll come in real handy for getting past 1600 medals or so without needing the heavy grind. I won't pretend I didn't use a suicide deck either, but only twice and I stopped after getting a suicide deck mirror match. Can't top how hilarious THAT was.

Shit, guess I actually need to make a deck now and play for real...

Well, you can still use the suicide deck to rank up for the bigger gem rewards, its just much faster now to try and win.

I mostly suicided since it was cheaper than making an optimal deck.

I used up most of my UR gems for my other two main decks.
