Name: Pamela Lilian Isley AKA "Poison Ivy"

Age: 26 years

Sex/Gender: Cis Female

Personality: An antisocial and misonthropic woman, she barely tolerates most people and would rather be away from everyone, she's an extremist that considers humanity a cancer to the planet that should be erradicated for the benefit of mother nature especially plants, she's a pretty manipulative seductress that's often looking to manipulate and cotrol others to meet her own goals.

Equipment: none besides whichever plant is nearby.

Assets: Regular apartment and middle class economic standing.

Powers/Abilities: Botany: Dr. Isley was a renowned scientist with a career in Gotham City. She has always had a fascination with plants and they've been the major direction in her life both before and after her accident. Her knowledge of botany allows her to better manipulate her plants.

Toxicology: Pamela's specialization in Botany was Toxicology, at first she used her knowledge for perfumes, make-up and medicine. After her accident, she used her knowledge to grow thorny plants and poisonous traps for her enemies.

Genetics: Isley has an extensive knowledge of Genetics and was even able to splice plant and human DNA, creating hybrids she referred to as "sporelings".

Seduction: Pamela Isley has always been a beautiful woman but she never used her looks or talents for personal gain until she became Poison Ivy. She taunts her trapped opponents with their human desires and can infatuate thugs to her cause through her pheromones and plants, or through her own means.

Hand-to-Hand Combat (Basic): Poison Ivy's athletic abilities have grown over the course of her career. She has learned a limited style of martial arts fighting, is proficient at climbing and leaping, and is a strong and fast swimmer.

Chlorokinesis: Semi-mystical connection to the plant world through a force called the Green. Ivy can cause plants of all kinds to grow at a rapid rate simply by commanding them to do so, and can manipulate and animate them as she wishes. On one occasion she used roots to form supports for a tunnel, and once controlled an entire tree to come down on Clayface, ensnaring him in its branches. She once brought a whole skyscraper down with giant vines. Ivy's control over plant life is on a global scale; she was once able to manipulate the entire planet's vegetation in order to make humanity submissive to her will.

Pheromone Control: Ivy is able to secrete pheromones from her skin that can cause men and women alike to become infatuated with her, making them subservient to her every will. However, even without the pheromones, her beauty is still an asset that can she can use to seduce.

Regeneration: Ivy can regenerate her limbs as plants regenerate their branches.

Toxikinesis: A deliberate overdose of plant and animal based toxins into her blood stream that make her touch deadly. Ivy can create the most potently powerful floral toxins in Gotham City. Often these are secreted from her lips and administered via a kiss. They come in a number of varieties, from mind-controlling drugs to instantly fatal necrotics. Her skin is toxic as well, although contact with it is usually not fatal.

Toxic Immunity: Immunity to all toxins, bacteria, and viruses.

Decelerated Aging: Due to having her DNA mutated into a plant-like capabilities basing on solar energy, she will live longer and aged slower than regular humans, as long as she maintain absorbing enough solar energy.

She nearly dies twice as a result from these poisonings, driving her insane. Later Woodrue flees from the authorities, leaving Pamela in the hospital for six months. Enraged at the betrayal, Pamela suffers from violent mood swings, being sweet one moment and like poison the next. When her boyfriend has a car accident after mysteriously suffering from a massive fungal overgrowth, Isley drops out of school and leaves Seattle, eventually settling in Gotham City. Taking the costumed persona of Poison Ivy, she begins a criminal career and sets out to show her power over men.

  • Name: Doreen Allene Green, "The Unbeatable" Squirrel-Girl
  • Age: 20
  • Sex/Gender: Female
  • Personality: Doreen is an optimistic, somewhat hyperactive young woman who still hasn't quite let go of her teenage sensibilities; loving to crack jokes and make puns even in the middle of battle and generally making people laugh around her. She uses humour as a shield for her nervousness in fights, but when the going gets tough and she sees an opportunity she can utilise her empathy in order to try and genuinely connect with her enemies. As Squirrel-Girl, despite her unorthodox powerset, Doreen truly believes she can become a strong and powerful hero in time should she only be given the chance to prove herself, and in fact claims (possibly erroneously) that she has managed to defeat several prominent supervillains while everyone else was off busy fighting other villains. As such, she refers to herself as "The Unbeatable" Squirrel-Girl, which infruriatingly has not yet been proven unwarranted as of yet to her opponents.
  • Equipment:
    • Nut Sacks:
      • Nuts: Doreen's nut sacks contain nuts. For her squirrels, of course. She keeps them on her utility belt, one reserved for each of her favourite squirrels. Which are currently two; Monkey Joe and Tippy Toe. As such, Doreen has two nut sacks. Stop laughing. This is very serious information.
    • Ear-Fitted Hairband: A headband with squirrel ears attached. Like Superman's glasses, they surprisingly disguise her identity whenever she puts them on. That's a lie, but it'd be funny if it were true.
  • Assets: Squirrels. ALL THE GODDAMN SQUIRRELS.
  • Powers/Abilities:
    • Squirrel Physiology: Doreen possesses the proportionate abilities of a squirrel whatever the f$&% that means and as such has the power to leap great distances, scurry along at speeds rivalling that of a speeding car, clamber up walls thanks to sharp claws on her fingers and toes, and chew through solid steel in mere seconds thanks to her nut-cracking jaw having the biting strength of 1,085,000 lbs. Doreen's strength is also deceptively potent despite her small stature, and while she can't throw cars she can most certainly lift and tip them with enough effort in the case that she needs to save someone trapped beneath one. Doreen also has a prehensile tail that is quite difficult to hide, so she usually wraps it around her waist in her civilian clothes and covers it with a cardigan in order to disguise it. This tail helps Doreen balance whenever she's scrambling up trees or balancing on thin surfaces, and it can be a hefty thug-whacker in a pinch if they happen to be behind her (or staring at her behind). Doreen also has retractable spikes located near her knuckles in order to help dig or burrow into surfaces, and she sincerely hopes that Wolverine won't think to sue her for having them without his given permission.
    • Squirrelese Fluency: Doreen speaks Squirrelese (patent pending) which is a very dignified and refined language containing such profound phrases as "eek-eek" and "squirrel squirrel nuts nuts." Using this ancient and poetic tongue, Doreen can harness the combined powers of an absolute nut-ton of squirrels she has befriended prior, which to her landlord's utter dismay is quite a lot and they are very much grateful for her accommodating their several dozen extended family members in addition to themselves. Doreen's befriended squirrels now number close to a hundred, and include such favourites as her first two besties Tippy-Toe and Monkey Joe. By sicking them onto her unfortunate targets en masse, Doreen's enemies will have to face a slow and squirrely demise from their hideously adorable buck teeth and dementedly tiny little claws, as well as suffer the embarrassment of being taken down by an army of f$&%ing squirrels. Doreen sometimes forgets that the common man cannot comprehend the delicate intonations of Squirrelese, and as such she oftentimes just squeaks at them incoherently until they point out that she's not speaking English. This isn't a weakness inherently, Doreen is just a bit of an idiot sometimes.
  • Appearance: Stands at 5'3". A squirrel-girl. A girl dressed as a squirrel. Accompanied by squirrels. What else did you expect?
  • Backstory: Born to Dorian and Maureen Green in Canada, Doreen had a relatively normal upbringing (or as normal as her hyperactive and daydreamy nature could allow) until she discovered she had the tremendous mutant powers of squirrels mysteriously present in her genetics. With an already-present love for superheroics and having a deep adoration for animals and critters, Doreen was ecstatic to make herself an outfit and first began her squirrely antics at the tender age of 14; almost immediately beelining to the nearest superhero group to prove herself. However, her unorthodox powerset and somewhat beffudling personality only rendered her a laughingstock among her juvenile peers, and so she bedgrudgingly split away from said group in order to pursue a solo career in crimefighting instead. Now six years older and marginally more mature, Squirrel-Girl has decided that Gotham City needs a little lightheartedness in its heroes, and has purchased an apartment smack-bang in quite possibly the most crime-ridden part of the already crime-filled city in an effort to tackle the problem head on. The media has quickly picked up on her antics as a curiosity, but she has yet to get involved in anything major yet—she hopes to catch the attention of the bigwigs soon enough and prove that squirrels are no less silly than bats or robins. Or wolverines. Or whatever.

  • Name: Eddie Brock, aka "Venom" (Symbiote Name: Venom)
  • Age: 30 (Symbiote: age unknown)
  • Sex/Gender: Male (Symbiote physically genderless, uses male pronouns)
  • Personality: Cynical, self-loathing and pessimistic, Eddie Brock is convinced that some force in the universe is out to get him. Despite considering himself a form of "monster" for the people he's hurt in his life (whether accidentally or otherwise), Eddie takes it upon himself to expose the worse elements of humanity in his job as a reporter. Upon bonding with the Venom symbiote, Eddie's behavior became extremely erratic before the two reached a state of stable symbiosis. The symbiote itself is impulsive and headstrong, with a sense of morality almost completely alien to human understanding. Despite this, the pair have developed an almost-bromance-like form of camaraderie, defending the innocent under the pseudonym "Venom."
  • Equipment:
    • Venom Symbiote: (Detailed under "Powers")
    • Notebook: A reporter by trade, Eddie keeps materials on hand at all times to take notes on anything particularly important that he (or the innocent public) may need to know.
    • Tape Recorder: To that end, Eddie keeps one of these on his person at all times. He also, of course, makes sure to check whether he's in a single consent jurisdiction before taping a recording he plans to release later.
  • Assets:
    • Motorcycle: Eddie's main means of transportation, he's quite fond of his bike and has shown the ability to evade capture riding it on busy city streets.
  • Powers/Abilities:
    • Investigative Skill: Eddie has made his career investigating corruption and misconduct of politicians and corporate executives alike. He is skilled at uncovering and revealing secrets, especially those that would be of significant public interest.
    • Hiding In Plain Sight: Eddie, as a reporter, boasts of his ability to "follow those who do not want to be followed." He is adept at blending into crowds and making himself appear completely unremarkable, so nobody seeing him would even think that he could be up to something.
    • Venom Symbiote: Bonded to him at a cellular level, the Venom symbiote grants Eddie an accelerated healing factor and the ability to manipulate the symbiote's biomass into an array of tendrils, appendages and various other weapons. Eddie's healing factor is sufficiently advanced to the point that the symbiote can heal him from having nearly every bone in his body broken within a matter of a few hours. The symbiote also enhances Eddie's durability and strength to superhuman degrees, making him a fearsome opponent even when not completely covered by the symbiote. However, being bonded to the symbiote also makes Eddie weak to intense heat and high-frequency sonic attacks, which Eddie and Venom tend to shorten just to "fire and sound" for simplicity.
  • Appearance: As Eddie and as Venom.
  • Backstory: An investigative reporter in New York City, Eddie bonded with the Venom symbiote while investigating the Life Foundation's shady research practices. After exposing their illegal human experiments, Eddie adjusted to living with Venom and even took up minor vigilante work at night, albeit as a pitch-black-suited alien man without a pseudonym to work with. Eddie grew close to a younger intern at the Bugle, a kid named Peter Parker, whose jobs included taking pictures and getting coffee. After inquiring about some spider-themed superhero he saw the kid idly doodling in a notepad one day, Eddie even started to treat the kid like a little brother of sorts. A few months later, Peter called into work citing a "family emergency." Even Jameson, an infamous hardass, allowed Eddie to leave and check in on the kid, where he discovered that Peter's Uncle Ben had been shot dead in a carjacking. Shortly afterwards, the criminal was found adhered to a warehouse wall, with reports stating that the black-suited alien creature had been spotted in the area...now sporting a white spider emblem on its chest. When questioned as to how he wound up that way, the carjacker claimed to have been hunted down by the creature, which identified itself as "We are the lethal protector of the innocent. We are poison to scum like you. ''We...are Venom."
  • Universe: Earth-55U

  • Name: Leonard Snart/ Captain Cold
  • Age: Late 30's.
  • Sex/Gender: Male
  • Personality: Traditionally, Captain Cold is driven by three things: money, women, and the desire to beat The Flash. While Leonard Snart is a proud and shameless career criminal, he is not without a code of honor that he and his Rogues strictly follow to the letter. No killing cops, capes, women or children unless absolutely necessary, no drugs, no stealing the identity of another Rogue if the original still lives. They may be criminals, but even professionals have standards.

He deeply cares for his sister, Lisa, who operates in the Rogues as the Golden Glider, and looks out for the well being of his fellow Rogues at all times, though he can be ruthless to prove a point if they stay out of line. Additionaly, Captain Cold does *not* like to be mistaken for other cold-motif super-villains

  • Equipment:
    • Cryogenic Gear: As expected of his namesake, Captain Cold uses a variety of cryogenic weaponry. Captain Cold's standard weapon is a gun that can fire a cold beam that freezes anything it hits instantly. With his years as Captain Cold, he also modified it for multiple uses such as creating a slippery field of ice for his enemies, forming sharp stalagmites on the ground to impale his enemies, though he rarely uses this one due to his code and pragmatism. Additionaly, he also has Ice Grenades, which he can throw to freeze things in a radius.
  • Assets: Othen than his cryogenic gear, Captain Cold is the leader of The Rogues, a group of blue collar super villains based in Central City.
  • Powers/Abilities: While Snart has no innate superhuman powers, he instead relies on his cold guns and instincts. Additionaly, he is a good leader due to his experience with the Rogues.
  • Appearance: "Hate is cold! Hell is cold! And sucker - I am Captain Cold!"
  • Backstory:Leader of the Rogues and the Flash's long-time archenemy, Leonard Snart is a skilled career criminal and mechanic who took up supervillainy after he accidentally invented a "cold gun", which freezes things by slowing molecules to absolute zero. Strict, professional, and blunt, Cold runs the Rogues tightly and efficiently, enforcing his strong code of honor on them while using their combined skills to pull off countless heists. Seeing opportunities for him and his Rogues to make money in NYC and Gotham City, especially with one of the big capes of Gotham having suddenly disappeared, Leonard and a few of the Rogues moved there for a few blue collar schemes.

  • Name: Didi Demortis (Death of the Endless)
  • Age: Late Teens
  • Sex/Gender: Female
  • Personality: Exceptionally kind, cheerful, laid-back, and compassionate, as well as extremely easygoing and humble, Didi loves life, the universe and everything in it, even the parts other people see as bad. Her perspective on the end of life is that it is natural and fated, and so she would not particularly mind dying; paradoxically, she also values lives so much that she would never intentionally take one, not even that of a mere insect. She prefers to dress and act casually, disliking formal dress and events. The quickest way to make her angry would be to mess with her family or her fish.
  • Equipment:
    • The Key of Life: A silver Ankh Didi wears on a simple metal necklace. It has incredible healing powers, even being capable of resurrecting the dead when harnessed properly. In the hands of someone who knows how to use it, it is also capable of projecting a deadly zap of energy that can reduce any living thing hit by it to ashes, although it can be dodged and only has a range of a few meters (and besides, Didi would never choose to use it in this manner). In order to be used, the user must hold the Ankh in their hand and focus hard on the phenomenon they wish to produce, and it can also be used by anyone other than Didi who knows how to use it upon leaving her possession. Any Ankh she comes into possession of obtains the same properties.
  • Assets: A crumby but mostly clean apartment in the same neighborhood as Squirrel Girl, enough money to last her one day and no more, and two pet goldfish.
  • Powers/Abilities:
    • Average Human Physical Prowess: Not exceptionally fit, but not out of shape. Entirely mortal, with no special protection or endurance.
    • Limited Omniscience: At convenient moments, Didi knows things that by all rights she shouldn't, like your name and how you like your coffee or tea, secrets of how the universe works and of the occult and of ancient beings that govern fundamental forces and those associated with them. She can't explain how she knows these things aside from that she does, and the details often escape her whenever it wouldn't be plot convenient for her to know or explain something (or when the GM or a fellow player don't want her to know something about their character). This doesn't bother her, as she likes to live spontaneously moment to moment anyway, and besides, the one thing she knows for sure is what she is.
  • Appearance: An attractive, very pale white goth girl with messy, shoulder-length black hair dressed in casual clothes, usually a black spaghetti-strap top and black jeans, along with black leather boots. She also wears a silver Ankh on a chain around her neck, and has a tattoo similar to the eye of Horus around her right eye.
  • Backstory: Once a century, a certain entity takes mortal form in order to perform her duties better. Her latest incarnation is Didi Demortis, a teenage girl whose parents and little brother recently died, leaving her alone in the world. Far from being depressed, however, Didi is determined to experience all that life has to offer in what little time she has on Earth. What shall I do today? she wonders, Grab a pretzel downtown? Go to the baseball game? Just take a walk, enjoy breathing, and let my feet lead me where they may? The possibilities are endless in the City That Never Sleeps!

Time travel would be the most likely answer. Something happened that tossed him into the past.

  • Name: Kenshiro "Zero" Cochrane, Ghost Rider
  • Age: 21
  • Sex/Gender: Male
  • Personality: Zero is despite everything, uncomplex and proud of that, he's an anti-authoritarian rebel with a major chip on his shoulder. Despite his attitude he's a decent person at heart, concerned with human rights and the violations his world normalized. He's also surprisingly wily when he can calm himself down long enough to focus on a task, but for the most part he's charging in shouting all sorts of Future Slang about Pusbags as he tears through what he feels represents corruption of human decency.
  • Equipment:
    • HELL CYCLE - Zero's main form of transportation, a futuristic cycle capable of anti-gravity repulsion allowing him to catch up far faster to his targets than any wheeled vehicle. It comes with dual mode configuration allowing him to disguise it with
  • Assets:
    • Abandoned Factory - Zero took over an abandoned automotive factory to act as his hub and home base, repairs even with advanced nanomer aren't cheap and you need dedicated machinery for more delicate items. It also serves as his main charging hub when he finishes a job.
  • Powers/Abilities:
    • Robot Body - Zero suffered an accident on a job and was transferred to a highly advanced modified combat droid. The droid houses his consciousness and is outright bulletproof and hard to damage. It also boasts limited sizeshifting to allow Zero to assume the identities of other people.
    • Hellsaw - Affixed to his right arm is a electric chainsaw with nanomer teeth to cut through the toughest of armor in the future, his main go to weapon.
    • Optic Lasers - The droid body is outfitted with a variable intensity laser array within the optic suite, allowing Zero to initiate combat at range.
    • Solidogram Suite - Nicknamed by Zero himself, this is a hard light holographic array that is responsible for not only the flaming skull, but allows Zero to alter his appearance to look like his old human self, render himself invisible, or even outright disguise himself as other people. Less often used due to power consumption and Zero's lack of forethought.
    • Expert Programmer - When he was human, Zero was an expert netrunner and could hack nearly any system, eventually upgrading himself with a neural implant that caused his current state. Now as a being of pure data he's only gotten even better, functionally an AI capable of rewriting any system he can plug into.
  • Appearance:
  • Backstory: Zero comes from the future, the world of 2100AD, and by all means it is not a pleasant place. Kicked out by his own father, Kenshiro spent years on the streets running with Gangs until he met the Hotwire Martyrs and found a stable influence in his life, from there it was a blur of gang warfare, electronic attacks, and trying to be the first on a gig. It was precisely the last gig that got his friends and himself killed, a run against the local corporation D/Monix as it was after Wayne-Powers. Zero was the netrunner for the gig to recover some important data, unfortunately for him it ended with his meat body dying as he was hooked up trying to call for help, losing his best friend Warewolf in the process. Zero's mind was saved and brought before the Ghostworks, a collection of A.I.s that promised him a second chance if he served as their agent, he quickly accepted. It was only until a little later in his run as an agent of vengeance that he was brought before the King of Hell, the Blaze, who revealed that Zero himself was only a copy. His Soul was being held captive by the Ghostworks to keep him under their leash, accepting the King's offer, he was freed and reunited with himself. He was given a task, and sent back to the present day, his goal? Avert the future, no further information was given. Now Zero is stuck in Gotham's present day with no clue as to what he has to do to "avert the future", and a strong feeling that he got screwed on a deal again.

AN EDIT CAUSE I REFUSE TO DOUBLEPOST

  • Name: Victor Stone, Cyborg
  • Age: 24
  • Sex/Gender: Male
  • Personality: Victor is a boisterous and proud individual, quick to charge into action but smart enough to have a plan of attack first. A titan Alumni through and through, Victor is phased by very little any more and is always ready to take action. Be it through the tech he wields or the skills he's honed, Victor's strength of will and strong moral center makes him ready to save the day. Victor is also well aware of the reality of his world and has had a few rough shakes about what it means to save lives, as well as an ever present fear that the tech he praises will one day overtake him.
  • Equipment:
    • T-Car - Cyborg's main form of transportation, a car he custom built for the Titans, having since modified and upgraded it to be A) less conspicuous and B) tougher than ever... too many times it blew up.
  • Assets:
    • Titan Signal - An old communicator he made, held on in case he ever needs to contact his old friends
    • Apartment - Victor's current housing, has access to a lab where he keeps spare parts and fixes for both his organic and mechanical parts... also a fully stocked fridge
    • Nanomachines - A little something he keeps on hand, not entirely earthly but useful for handling things such as looking human again
  • Powers/Abilities:
    • Cyborg Body - Victor's body was heavily altered after an accident, built with the latest technology his father had, as well as several experimental pieces, Victor has spent time upgrading it and modifying it to withstand the heaviest things out there, but also give him a normal life again.
    • Sonic Cannon - His main armament, his forearms can transform into a projected energy weapon that can be dialed in for lethal or non lethal depending on what he needs, whether it be a piercing laser or a suppression tool.
    • Combat Training/Football History - Before he became what he is today, Victor was an expert football player and was even looking into getting into other sports such as Mixed Martial Arts. He's made more use of these than expected, as sometimes you can't just blast something
    • Modifiable Body - Victor may have unpleasant things to say sometimes, but having a body of tech and flesh that he can upgrade and alter as needed, that's useful. He keeps spare parts in the T-Car and can swap out them as need be.
    • Human Mode - Advances finally hit far enough that he can completely "rid" himself of his mechanical appearance, and live life as a normal person again. Synthetic skin and nanomachines make wonders.
    • Iron Will - Many have attempted to control Victor, all have failed. One notable case was during his 3rd year with the Titans, Brother Blood of the HIVE Academy attempted to control Victor through mental domination and hacking his cybernetics. Victor pushed past it all, refusing to be controlled.
  • Appearance:
  • Backstory: Victor was a normal high school student set for life until a major accident hit, struck and clinging to life he was saved by his father and given a heavy overhaul. Waking up with new advanced bionics, Victor left his hometown and tried to hide his new "freaky" nature, cursing his father. He soon met others and they formed a little team known as the Teen Titans, he had a lot of fun and learned to live with the changes, recognizing how they could help others. Victor moved forward and found peace, as well as making numerous advances to fix his "problem". He's since moved back to Gotham and looks to extend that helping hand out to others, Cyborg is here and he has only one thing to say to the criminals of Gotham. Booyah.

Even before her enhancements, Peggy was tough as nails and took no shit from anyone, going to any lengths to prove her worth. Though she’s not above deception and lethal force in performing her duties, a kind soul rests in this super-soldier, and while Peggy's circle of friends is small, she would dive into the heart of hell for any one of them.
  • Equipment:
    • Combat Armour, painted in the colours of the Union Jack. What it lacks in stealth it makes up for in bullet and flame resistance
    • Vibranium Shield, also patriotically painted. Can be thrown like a discus and ricochet many times without losing momentum.
    • Sword, acquired from Castle de Krake, giving her that knight-in-shining-armour look. A more humble blade than one she could have had, but it's served her well all the same.
    • Amulet of Right, concealed under her breastplate. Usually meant for granting powers, this trinket has been modified to take them instead. When rubbed, it can store her armour and her enhanced muscles, along with changing her hairstyle and its colour to blonde. When rubbed again, it returns them. When tapped, it can serve as a communicator to Roma, and if need be the Starlight Citadel.
  • Assets:
    • As a former member of the Captain Britain Corps, Peggy has learned a great deal about the cosmology of the multiverse. But more than that, she has a direct line to the Otherworld, an alternate dimension serving as the nexus of a billion alternate realities. Specifically, she has a line to Avalon, the disc world parallel to the collective unconscious of the British Isles, within which drifts the Floating Kingdom of Roma Regina, a province of the Fair Courts ruled by the titular Roma, Lady of the Northern Skies. However, her rule is more of a favour to her people, as Roma is a great lover of freedom and anarchy, and her Romana Fairy subjects are free to pursue lives of chaotic but gentle hedonism. Roma is always available to inform Peggy about the goings-on in the multiverse, create portals between Otherworld and every version of earth, or just generally provide support and a listening ear.
    • Another location is the Starlight Citadel, the seat of the Dimensional Development Court that presides over the stability of the Omniverse. There, the Captain Britain Corps keeps the peace between dimensions, overseen by Opal Luna Saturnyne, Omniversal Majestrix and one of the smuggest bitches you’d never want to meet. Saturnyne herself is second only to Merlyn (yes, THAT Merlyn) the Omniversal Guardian appointed by the Over-Monitor to oversee creation from the inside...but also Roma’s estranged father. Peggy still has the option of calling them and calling in favours from her former colleagues. However, much of what she’s capable of doing is subject to the whims of Saturnyne. The woman is not only haughty and vindictive, but she’s also exceedingly powerful and manipulative and has no qualms about destroying an entire timeline if it presents a threat to the Omniverse. Because of this, and many "creative differences" with the Corps as a whole, Peggy prefers not to get involved with her if she can help it.
  • Powers/Abilities:
    • Super Soldier Physiology: The process of Project Rebirth transformed Peggy past the pinnacle of human perfection. She’s as fast as a motorcycle, strong enough to flip a military truck, agile enough to leap several yards while carrying a man, durable enough to withstand a taser for five seconds, nimble enough to dodge multiple gunshots, and with the stamina to exert herself for hours at a time without fatigue. Her healing factor can withstand any drugs or natural diseases on planet Earth, her ageing process is greatly slowed, and even her intelligence and recall have been increased tenfold. Most of her power is stored in the amulet while disguised, with the exception of her longevity, healing and intelligence.
    • Combat: Even before her enhancements, Peggy was no slouch and had mastered a versatile fighting style that made good use of any available object. She is also a trained marksman, and a crack shot with almost any gun.
    • Intellect: Peggy was an expert tactician even when she was mortal, a trait now enhanced by the serum. She has enough grasp of chemistry to turn household items to her advantage in a pinch. She is also fluent in English, Russian and German, with convincing skill in replicating accents.
    • Espionage: Peggy is a master of disguise, and in using the prejudice of others to her advantage (being able to change size with a magic necklace helps too). She is also skilled in codebreaking, pickpocketing, and interrogation.
    • Might of Britain: If Peggy were to step into British territory again, her amulet would begin to charge, ethereally linked to the idea of Britain and fuelled by the vibrations separating universes. At full capacity, Captain Carter can supercharge her already formidable strength and speed. She would even gain the ability to fly, and project forcefields that would defend against any non-gaseous physical attack. Outside of Britain, this power boost would dissipate once spent, and her flight would only last continuously for a total of fifteen minutes.
  • Appearance: Civilian Disguise, Game Face
  • Backstory: (split in two to spare attention spans, see below Universe for the rest)
    • In a realm beyond human experience, she clashed with the terrible monster. A near-amazonian woman, far from home, hacking away at the endless tentacles of the Lurker on the Threshold. Even when worn to the bone and separated from her weapons, Captain Carter was ready to go down swinging. When suddenly, time stood still. An image of an aged man with a long white beard appeared before her. He offered her a way out, along with one of two tools to help her escape- the Sword of Might or the Amulet of Right. Carter chose her item, recovered her other weapons and made her escape through another portal. She found herself in a crystalline room, faced with another Captain Carter! The great wizard Merlyn appeared, and explained the nature of the multiverse and the Starlight Citadel she stood within, saying that the only difference between her and her double was which item she chose. Merlyn invited them both to help rebuild a multiversal organisation destroyed in the Seventh Crisis: the Captain Britain Corps!
    • So it came to pass that Carter and Carter helped to swell the ranks of the Corps, and battle against threats to all reality. However, as time went on, both Carters began to mistrust their superiors. To start with, both Peggys had learned to be dubious of mystical weaponry. But beyond that, the corps didn’t seem terribly discerning about the recruitments, especially with the inclusion of Hauptmann Englande and Captain Airstrip-One. Further, Saturnyne proved spiteful and manipulative, and Merlyn himself proved just as duplicitous, even faking his own funeral at one point. Eventually, enough proved enough, and both resigned their commission. Sword-Carter returned to their timeline of origin (albeit almost seventy years late) while Amulet-Carter chose to stay, and fostered a relationship with Roma based on mutual resentment of Merlyn.
    • Time passed, except it didn't, in the Kingdom of Roma Regina. The candylands were fun for a while, but Peggy had no interest in the neon playrooms, certainly none in the lusty pleasure halls, and the ruckus dance halls just reminded her of the date she'd missed with Steve Rogers. Carter grew bored and homesick, doubting her decision to let her split counterpart go home and become the 'official' Captain Carter of her home timeline. Picking up on her friend's depressive state, Lady Roma decided to give 'assign' her a mission. One in the latest Lynchpin Reality, at around the same time period that her counterpart had returned to. It had certainly been too long since Peggy had been to a version of Earth, and this would be her first experience of a version of the twenty-first century. So Captain Carter accepted her deployment and stepped through a portal to the outskirts of Gotham City.
  • Universe: Earth 82111 (Based on What If, with elements of DCEU)
    • Many know the incredible life story of Margaret Elizabeth Carter, though not all details were fit for public disclosure. Born April 9 1921, she worked for two years as a codebreaker in Bletchley Park, before her brother’s tragic death in the line of duty prompted her to join MI 5 as a field agent and in time a liaison to the Strategic Scientific Reserve. This led her to become a supervisor for Project Rebirth, a US Army initiative to breed a new kind of super-soldier. There she met the man who would change her life forever: Steve Rogers, a skinny kid from Brooklyn that went on to become the project’s one and only candidate. But WHAT IF...things took a different turn for Steve and Peggy both? Her split decision to be present for the procedure caused an enemy agent to accelerate his plans for sabotage. With one explosion, multiple lives were lost, a test subject was severely injured and the project was put in jeopardy. Before the necessary power levels could be lost for good. Peggy Carter took the place of Steve Rogers. She was injected with Super Soldier Serum, bombarded with Vita Radiation, and emerged from the chamber a changed woman. Despite the project’s success, the inability to replicate results coupled with a culture of misogyny kept Carter off the front lines for a while. Project Rebirth was a bust, but in this reality, the government had a backup plan.
    • Twenty-five years earlier, Air Service Captain Steve Trevor was shot down in the open sea and discovered an uncharted island. There, he found the ruins of a now-extinct civilisation and recovered ancient artefacts of mysterious power and properties. Trevor proceeded to Europe and used these artefacts to defeat General Ludendorff, his agent Doctor Poison, and according to him, even a god. Now, with Trevor rendered ageless by his new accoutrements, and a crack team of researchers reverse engineering them, Steve Rogers got a second chance to join a squadron of now-mystically empowered soldiers. The USA was proud to present Steve Trevor as Captain Wonder, and his brigade of Wonder Men! ...or at least, they were, until the Wonder Men went on their first mission behind enemy lines and abruptly turned on their own fellow soldiers. With central command flabbergasted, Carter took on a new uniform and weaponry, courtesy of Howard Stark, and went after the seemingly rogue squadron. She found them escorting an enemy scientist named Arnim Zola, and after a mighty struggle, managed to retrieve Zola and Corporal Rogers. With Roger’s testimony and further investigation, the disturbing truth emerged. A HYDRA agent, codenamed Doctor Psycho, had performed an occult ritual to brainwash the Wonder Men and force them to guard the Axis sphere of influence. The experience was so traumatic to Rogers that he lost his drive to participate in the war. This gave Carter ample motive for revenge.
    • In the months that followed, Captain Carter clashed with HYDRA and the Wonder Men time and again. With their elite crew of men compromised, the US Military was forced to fully endorse Captain Carter as the champion of the free world. In time, she managed to free every last one of the Wonders, right down to Steve Trevor, though at the cost of his magic and his artificial youth. Eventually, the time came to take the fight to HYDRA. Captain Carter stormed HYDRA headquarters at Castle de Krake in Black Forest, but she didn’t do it alone. At her side were her own team of howling commandos, and leading up the rear was a prototype battle vehicle, fuelled by the remaining magic items in a furnace, and piloted by both Steve Trevor and Steve Rogers! In the climactic battle, the two Steves settled the score with Dr Psycho, while Carter breached the central hall. There, the Red Skull was conducting a terrible ritual with the cosmic Tesseract and mystic Spear of Longinus. He might have hoped to summon a horde of valkyries. Instead, he summoned an eldritch beast that killed him just the same. With all her might, Carter pushed the foul beast back through the portal that spawned it, barely having time to say farewell to Rogers as she left.
    • Over seventy years later, Captain Carter burst through an opened portal, only to find that the world had moved on in her absence and then some. Nevertheless, Peggy persevered, and together with the Red Harpy, Rescue, Thordis, Clint Barton and her new best friend Black Widow, she formed the team of earth's mightiest heroes, A-Force. Together they fended off two separate alien invasions (crossing paths with the lone wolf Krypton Girl), and Carter was briefly recruited for one more pandimensional mission by the entity known as the Watcher. When last noted, Carter had just uncovered a conspiracy by the resurgent HYDRA, involving the mysterious Dreamstone, and perhaps even the return of a Steve or two from her past...

Dang it-I was really proud of my idea for another person but I looked back and saw the post about Amalgam characters. Ah well.

I mean, I got away with Spider-Boy by changing his backstory enough that he fit into the existing universe, so it’s still possible to do Amalgam stuff, I think.

This post is sponsored by Amalgam Comics.

Hmm. That's a good suggestion. Mine was more straight "mash these two characters together." I'll finish it and see what they say, I guess. If nothing else at least it will be done.

Name: Snowbird/Anne Mac Kenzie/Harfang

Age: 27(?)

Sex/Gender: Female/?

Personality: Anne used to feel that she needed to be a serious, solemn representative champion of her mother’s people. Her social life growing up and inability to clearly communicate with her mother didn’t help her understand her powers and purpose, or how to tell others about them, until later in life. Consequently, she was somewhat sheltered and naïve. Her time with Alpha Flight helped her learn more about the world and her place in it, and she enjoyed her time as a hero. Since her husband died and her friends went away, however, Mac Kenzie has dedicated herself to her role as a protector of Canada, and become much more hard-bitten and used to the dark side of the human world. Deep down she misses her sense of purpose and she still loves a good fight.

Equipment: Smith & Wesson 5606 pistol and a survival knife. She also has a teal-colored Chevrolet Cruze.

Assets: She has some authority as a member of the Canadian diplomatic entourage, but it’s quite limited. She can call on (the head of the Inuit pantheon) Hodiak and the other Inuit gods for information, but she rarely does this due to a very strained relationship (though she’s not above using his name for “mystical street cred” since Hodiak has something of a scary, if lawful, reputation).

Powers/Abilities:

Shape-shifting: Her signature power is the ability to take on the shape of any animal native to Canada. These will always be pure white in color and can be either normal-sized or proportional to a human. She can change forms easily and at will.

Drafting Others: She has the mental ability to compel others to aid her in her struggle against the Great Beasts, and once mentally controlled Northstar to aid Alpha Flight against them (though this isn’t useful nowadays, and she’s uncomfortable with the memory).

Increased Physicality: She has enhanced strength, speed, and durability, though it’s never been tested.

Teleportation: She can’t be transported against her will, or can redirect it for her to appear somewhere else.

Magical Senses: Snowbird can detect certain kinds of magical energy, but she often doesn’t have the experience to identify them.

Appearance: In her human form, she looks like a normal, athletic blonde woman. In Snowbird form [1]she sports a thinner build, a slightly elongated face, pale white eyes, and long hair. She can display her “true fire” form at will, but she rarely does so, and only her husband has seen it thus far.

Backstory: Narya was born to complete a plan of the Northern gods. They had been trapped in their dimension by the Great Beasts, and needed a champion on the mortal plane to thwart the evil plots of the Beasts. So a luckless archeology student was mentally entrapped and brought to their realm to give the spark of life to the goddess Nelvana. He was sent away with his mind hopelessly broken, and after a night she gave birth to a demi-goddess. The shaman Dr. Michael Twoyoungmen helped with the birth and agreed to raise her as his own.

She learned her powers as she rapidly grew older, taking the arctic owl as her favored form, and had a relatively pleasant childhood far from civilization. However, this ended when a neighbor saw the girl playing and reported it to Department H, a secretive Canadian group dedicated to finding and training champions to protect the Great White North. The girl was brought in for training alongside her mentor Shaman and soon became proficient in the use of her powers, but she was still unfamiliar with society and battling the threats Department H was formed to thwart. However, circumstances arose that forced her into combat against Shaman’s wishes.

Over the next two years she took on a cover story and identity as an RCMP officer named Anne Mackenzie, and her adventures with Alpha Flight and against the Great Beasts were harrowing. She discovered that one of her co-workers was in love with her, which was another area in which she had little experience. Nonetheless, they wed, and she was happy as a superhero and officer in the RMCP until a change in political leadership forced her to resign from the force as Department H lost influence.

Then things started hitting her one after another. First many of her Alpha Flight teammates were reassigned to other duties-some in space with Captain Marvel. Then her husband was taken from her by a sudden illness, one for which she could find no cure (but suspected was the work of the Great Beasts). Finally, she defeated the last of them and their acolytes, imprisoning the evil spirits into their own ruined dimension. This war had been the linchpin of her career as a hero and even the reason for her very existence….and now it was gone. What was the point of her life now?

The Canadian government provided the answer. She was brought in to be an official investigator for the “Examinations Unit” of the National Research Council (which was “unofficially” tasked with ensuring communication security for the Government) To this end, she was rechristened as “Agent Harfang” and some of her history with Alpha Flight was designated top secret to prevent anyone doing research to recognize her as a super-powered agent.

guess who's back

  • Name: May "Mayday" Parker, AKA Spider-Woman
  • Age: 23
  • Sex/Gender: Female
  • Personality: May is a bubbly, extraverted and kindhearted woman that takes after both of her parents in terms of personality, possessing her mother's charms and social skills along with her father's intelligence and penchant for humourous quips. Despite her occasional silliness and enthusiasm, May's personality has been tempered by her experiences as a superhero, and she is a lot warier in many situations. Wearing her heart on her sleeve, May has learned negative emotions alongside her positive ones as a result of her father's death and the other trials she has suffered through. Though she has managed to process most of her anger, it still occasionally overwhelms her in a way that threatens to compromise her principles. However, through all her suffering at the hands of typical Parker Luck and the wicked actions of supervillains, May has managed to hold onto her integrity enough to confidently call herself Spider-Woman, having grown from the mere Spider-Girl that she had considered herself beforehand. At the prospect of being displaced from her home universe, she is somewhat ill at ease and homesick, however when it comes to using the opportunity to save others in a new environment she simply cannot refuse the urge.
  • Equipment: Spider-Woman possesses external web shooters that she has modified for her uses, capable of mimicking her father's webs while also being able to shoot metal needles called 'stingers' to puncture her opponents.note  Her suit is custom-made, with its original design based heavily on her father's suit, but now modified to more closely resemble the classic Spider-Man look with some slight adjustments. Spider-Woman uses spider-tracers on occasion but has to use an external receiver to track their location, as they are her father's gadgets and she cannot attune her Spider-Sense to them. She keeps her phone on her person at all times, disguising it as one of her many web cartridges that are stored on her utility belt.
  • Assets: None, as an extra-dimensionally displaced person.
  • Powers/Abilities:
    • Does Whatever A Spider Can: May possesses many of the same abilities as her father; she is superhumanly strong and fast, able to adhere to almost any surface at any angle, has a superhuman equilibrium, can leap across a street with little effort, and can sense nearby danger using a mild form of prescience. However, May's powers are balanced a little differently to her father's and they have developed in some unique ways, and during her time as Spider-Girl, she discovered that although she was physically weaker than her father in his heyday (only able to lift a maximum of 5 tons instead of 10), she was leagues more agile and speedy than her father, and her wall-crawling ability could be weaponised to repel whatever she clung to instead of merely sticking her body in place. Because of this, she can push away objects or people she touches with tremendous force, stick objects or people in place by touching the same surface that they are on without even using her webs, or throw items long distances that she would be otherwise unable to reach with a throw by her normal strength. This also allows her to jump higher and further, and she believes that this power is one that any other spider-person can use should they practice with it. May's Spider-Sense is also very highly tuned, and she can locate the specific sources of whatever triggers it instead of merely getting a rough direction of wherever the danger is coming from. This is to the point where she can fight completely blindfolded and even ascertain weaknesses in her enemies to exploit, even recognising familiar danger signatures and detecting falsehoods that are spoken to her.
  • Appearance: A beautiful young woman that heavily resembles both her mother and father, having bright blue eyes and auburn hair that she has recently grown out a little. Standing at a height of 5'8", she has a lithe but muscular body that one would typically expect of a spider-person, which has become more filled out thanks to her extensive combat against supervillains in her time. Her body is scattered with scars from her previous fights, though she tries to hide the ones that detract from her appearance too much. As Spider-Woman, her suit is a fusion of her father's design and her Spider-Girl suit design, which she has unified into one look to carry her father with her in spirit. Her mask is directly taken from her father's suit; albeit modified with dark-tinted lenses instead of the usual mirror-white.
    • As May: [1]
    • As Spider-Woman: [2]
  • Backstory: In the future after the legacy of Spider-Man had long come to a close, May Parker was born and raised by Peter and Mary Jane Watson-Parker, initially unaware of the potential she held within her despite her parents being incredibly nervous of what could occur as she grew up. Up until the age of fifteen, May seemed to be in the clear; showing no signs of supernatural ability at all even as she reached the age that Peter was when he was first bitten by the superpowered spider. However, despite this period of uncertainty, May eventually did begin to develop powers akin to her father's and began to use them for vigilantism after stealing her 'uncle' Ben Reilly's suit for heroic purposes. Even though her parents stonewalled her attempts at heroism, to begin with, they eventually conceded that it would be wrong to hold her back from using her powers responsibly, and so with her blessing and some gruelling training, she began to fight crime openly using the identity of Spider-Girl. Over the years she has spent in her hero career, May has gained and lost many friends and family, gone through many tough challenges, and suffered through the pain of her father's death in an attempt to protect his family from the cruel villain Daemos. Though retaining some lingering anger and grief from her losses, May has managed to hold onto her hope for a brighter future; taking her father's costume and fusing its design with her own to declare herself 'Spider-Woman' in his stead.

  • Age: 30s(?)
  • Sex/Gender: Male

Joker fancies himself a comedian of macabre work, but comedian is his primary focus, he won't do something if it's not funny in some way. Joker detests would be wannabes, imposters, people trying to kill the bat, fascists, butchers with no style, and the IRS. Joker delights in being unpredictable, one day he may be trying to kill somebody of notice, others he may be trying to throw a pie at the police commissioner, other days he's focused on trying to take over Canada. You never know, and have to treat every one of his actions with an intense and serious focus.
  • Equipment:

    • Henchmen - Good help is so hard to find, that's why you bribe, blackmail, and extort it.
  • Powers/Abilities:
    • Clever - You don't fight the Bat for years and not develop the brains for it, Joker's most dangerous asset is his intelligence, he's wily and adaptive and will use any trick he can. • Toxin Resistance - Years of inhaling the fumes of his work have rendered him immune to any and all poisons.
    • Mind of a Madman - Whether or not the Joker is insane is up for debate, what isn't is that he apparently has a resistance to mind control and mind reading, either because he's mentally strong or he's too broken to be affected.
  • Appearance: More Maitre D
  • Backstory: The Joker claims to have multiple pasts (multiple choice) but his most commonly told one is this. He was once a nobody looking to make a career in standup, broke and down on his luck trying to provide for his family he got roped into a gig, his wife unfortunately perished in an electrical accident (strike 1) and he continued on sheer inertia, the heist at Ace Chemicals went wrong and he met with the Bat (strike 2). In an attempt to escape he fell into the chemical pits and came out, bleached and unrecognizable to his old face (strike 3), it broke him and made him see life for the big joke it was (it has to be). Joker went mad that day and decided to strike back, make a name for himself and try to find some point, finding a career in criminality in Gotham, fighting the bat, and becoming one of Gotham's greatest masterminds.
