~Tales of Under, I'm afraid anecdotal evidence is not sufficient. We need actual proof. Why not do a wick check?

Honestly, I don’t even know where to begin with this one. This is a trope about people who are obsessed with beetles, and it seems to be legitimate... but it has quite a bit holding it back.
Let’s start with the description. Hoo boy, is it godawful. I will literally copy-paste the majority of the description right here:
“Characters who have a great curiosity and interest in beetles that they wanna hold it in their hand and love, love them do. Very common in anime, so let it be.”
I’m just... dumbfounded this was allowed to be submitted. It literally consists entirely of Beatles references. Second, the wick count is 72, which doesn’t sound that bad, but lest we forget: this is a nine-year old page, at least. Finally, while some examples are rather well written, some of them...
“The Other Mother in Coraline has a quite a fondness for beetle motifs. So much so she decorated entire rooms with Beetle furniture, Wallpaper and her favorite treats are cocoa beetles from zanzabar.”
...yeah, I think you can see the problem there.
So all in all, while it seems to be a legitimate trope, which at least saves it from the dreaded “Not Tropeworthy”, it has major problems.
