Much visible. I prefer the same images but better quality, over entirely new ones, on the page they're put on, if they illustrate the trope perfectly.

As I said, it's natively a JPEG below 350 pixels wide, so converting it to a PNG wouldn't help any. I swapped it in and tagged it. Old image:
