Maybe they'll eventually vaguely mention Nine in a non-committal way in a game a decade from now, like was happened with Sticks.

I really loved Chaos Sonic! He was such an interesting take on the usual robotic duplicate of Sonic.

His design was off-putting at first, but I really love his emoticon expressions with his personality. He comes off as endearing despite being annoying.

No, I mean the series. I'm counting season 3's version of him too.
Chaos Sonic was one of the more fun designs for a Metal Sonic but there eventually came a point where I was just so fucking sick of Metal Sonics and Metal Everyone Elses, and desperately wanting the show to do something else.
Too much Metal Sonic made the concept start to wear thin. Metal Sonic should be used sparingly.

They were truly never any 'multiple seasons' for this show, it was all one season split into volumes by the Netflix streaming model.
Kinda sad we didn't get Chaos Sonic in Dash & Speed Battle, we got boring Grim Sonic.

Only a comic book adaptation published by IDW. And before you ask, no, Flynn is not working on it, but one of the show's writers.

The show itself is self-terminating, which is probably the strongest indicator of its canonicity. In the final episode, it very unambiguously puts all of its toys back away in the box and then throws them in the incinerator never to be spoken of again.
It doesn't expect anyone to ever bring it up again, nor does there seem to be much creative desire to on the parts of people still making Sonic material.
