I mean that is pretty much why Sayu has said she doesn't seek out collabs at the moment cause Her haters are freaking out for blood and largely she wants people to collab with her cause it be good collab not to make a statement that tied to dunking on Niji

like YES it be a giant middle finger to have Sayu, Doki and Mint collab and watching the NDF shove their heads up their asses so hard they blink out of existence They wouldn't know how to deal with the contradiction

but it wouldn't be for the right reason.

I'd say Hololive and Vshojo are more likely respecting the unspoken 6 month rule... like the NDF doesn't want to incur the wraith of the holofateful... there wouldn't be an NDF left to defend Niji

Especially now that their main nest has been nuked

I'm not clear on the details, but Depressed Nousagi had some controversy regarding how he was using Vtuber PL information a few years ago that made him a pariah in a lot of spaces, and I don't think he's ever shaken that off completely. I believe the issue with Legal Mindset is that, for all of the good he's done in going over the legal stuff regarding the Niji contract and related topics, he has some very unsavory right wing takes regarding Disney and a few other issues. The more I've watched his Vtuber-related stuff as it comes out, the slimier and more griftish he's felt to me.

In particular he had a Patreon-paid channel going WAY too deep into the P Ls of certain Hololive members Including linking to a video of one of them getting sexually assaulted long before she joined.

I've never even watched Legal Mindset's Nijisanji analysis all the way through, because looking at his other videos... Doesn't seem like a very well intentioned guy.

Legal Mindset is one of those guys who still sees Japan as a mythical apolitical land people can go to in order to escape from the eeeeevil "woke" western world. He's one enemy that I would rather remain an enemy.

Unfortunately the communities that make up the vtuber fandom are either down for that, willing to look past it, or are unaware completely, so barring some major scandal hes pretty much untouchable.

Yeah, he's a chud (derogatory word for reactionary right wingers). He just happens to have been on the spotlight these pasts months because he was one of the only legal practictioners willing to look at the VTuber drama, for better or worse.

That's like trying to cancel Doki because she collab'ed with Filian. There's even a collab coming up with her + Pipkin Pippa of Phase Connect, whom a few on this board are utterly convinced she's some Nazi.

Find it weird actual vtubers went to employ Legal Mindset as actual legal representative. Won't doubt he knows a lot but I wouldnt go to a youtuber lawyer than a more professional lawyer

That's also making assumptions. Just because Legal Mindset talked about a lot of the potential legal woes, dissected a leaked contract in public and also interacted a lot with some of the VTubers, doesn't mean he's their actual lawyer.

With Idol it's mostly using him as a way to publicize their commitment to fairness and transparency

As I said (paraphrased) on the Kurosanji subreddit, this is probably the info he mentioned that he was going to drop in April, and it lines up with False tempering expectations as Niji's actions in this regard is small potatoes compared to just the last month having the Luca Doc, Mint redebuting and being another former Niji Talent speaking ill of the company, the revival and under performance (+shittyness) of AR Live, the under performance of Virtual Rhapsody, Michi debuting and revealing Niji's tax fuckery, and Vox's new outfit

Yeah, if Niji was trying to pressure Weebcon into getting False to remove a tweet, they are almost certainly doing their damndest to prevent any big name company vtubers in their company accounts and former talents from collabing with Doki with as much pressure as they can apply
