I'm surprised we're still introducing new villains at this point.
The rest of class 1-A need someone to fight for their big defining moments but honestly only Mina's has any emotional weight as she's facing Midnight's killer.
Still pissed Midnight was offscreened though.
We all are.
Do you know how badly the pacing is going to die if we have a fight for every dedicated class member.
A lazy millennial who's good at what he does.Especially when Horikoshi wants to wrap this up soon.
I mean, you could do a 1-2 chapter fight, there's not that many things left.
Secret SignatureHorikoshi could do what the mangaka of Nura: Rise of the Yokai Clan did for that work's final battle: have a double-page spread showing several finishing blows happening at once.
Looking at One-Punch Man, yeah not everyone really needs a fight scene ooof.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."Honestly if they had all of the remaining 1-A members facing off against Midnight's killer in a big boss battle it wouldn't kill the pacing as giving everyone a dedicated end fight.
I’m definitely not clamoring for every student to get their own personal fight, but in fairness MHA fights are rarely very long. Even the most important fights have been…what? 5-6 chapters?
Edited by CheapMarzipan on May 21st 2022 at 2:09:27 PM
I don't think there's any that are 6 chapters long, unless you count something like Shigaraki vs everyone in the war that goes through several stages. Most don't even get to 4.
But tbh people were saying that everything was rushed last chapter, now I'm seeing people saying it's dragging this one. Hori can't win.

Unpleasable Fanbase ahoy.
Let's just cut the middleman and say nobody is going to be entirely satisfied; people have already made up their minds that MHA sucks and always sucked, and are going to nitpick every issue.
At that point, let's just judge the work on its own merits and ignore the fans who are probably just bandwagoning.

A lazy millennial who's good at what he does.I feel like, hopefully, the Anime can make this work. It's still a long way away but Anime's can get away with more filler which will let the fights breathe more.
Ok, who let Light Yagami in here?People always complain that fights are too short. Segments of the One Piece fandom are complaining about Luffy vs. Kaidou being rushed, and they've been fighting for a year. Some people just want to complain.
spoilers are coming out
The chapter begins with Hawks and Jeanist discussing AFO's greatest weakness: the mask. Stain's stolen records from Tartarus allowed them to see that he escaped from the prison while carrying that huge chair, so he needs these breathing apparatus to stay alive. Therefore, their strategy was based on gathering a small number of heroes with considerable offensive power to strike in sequence and destroy the mask. Back to the present and we see Endeavor and Hawks advancing with everything. AFO throws air slashes but Endeavor blocks with Hell Curtain, giving Hawks a chance to throw some feathers that catch fire and fly towards All for One.
All for One realizes where they are aiming and blocks the feathers. Hawks tries to attack from behind with his feather swords, but AFO uses the goo that comes out from his finger to stop him. He continues the taunting, saying that even Recovery Girl wasn't able to get his wings back to their former glory, but Hawks just laughs and says that both him and AFO are already way past their prime. Endeavor joins them and begins to strike with a sequence of Vanishing Fists. AFO thinks to himself that since it's a heat-based attack, he can't use the damage-reversal quirk to protect himself. He assumes that the two of them will coordinate their attacks, but realizes that Endeavor is a little out of sync and makes a point of saying so out loud so they can hear.

Oh shit.
Like, I'm sure AFO would find a way to make everyone hurt if they actually succeed in this plan.
The man lives to make everyone else miserable.
One Strip! One Strip! He's a big guy
A lazy millennial who's good at what he does."For you."
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."Like, I could geniunely see him having some kind of bomb quirk in his body as a last middle finger.
One Strip! One Strip!Of fucking course AFO starts taunting Endeavor about not finding Touya's body in the fire.
A lazy millennial who's good at what he does.yeah more spoilers sorry was talking to family
All for One continues to make fun of Endeavor, saying that everyone in this war is playing their part. They're all giving their best against the enemies in front of them, so it's not fair that only he has his head somewhere else. In fact, he should be happy that the masterpiece got rid of the defective product. Endeavor gets angrier but Hawks yells at him not to listen and asks him to remember what happened to All Migh in Kamino when he fell for these provocations. That's when All for One says that, long ago, he was already keeping an eye on the result of Endeavor's relentless search for power. He's the kind of guy who doesn't miss a chance to plant a seed when he finds good soil, and then comes the final blow, "You didn't find Touya's body back in the day, did you?"
Hawks realizes that this is not good at all, and comes to the conclusion that someone like Endeavor, who has decided to go on living to pay for his mistakes, is fundamentally different from Hawks himself, who has turned his back on his mother and father. He would not in fact have been able to face Dabi right now, so this team division was the right choice, and he has to do everything he can to support Endeavor. He flies off in the direction of the two and tries to remind him to keep a cool head, that their mission is to destroy the mask. But it was too late, because right after Endeavor yells "ALL FOR ONE" he receives an attack right in the side of his torso. All for One has turned his hand into some creepy mouth with thorns and says "Right here. You lowered your defenses " Hawks shouts Endeavor's name and tries to go to help, but AFO directs his hands at him and says that at this distance, the "Nagant replacement" would not be able to dodge. When all seems lost....

God, it feels great to be a Jirou fan right now.
Not the Dabi stans rooting for AFO now...

Since something seems to be happening with Dabi, Iida will probably get something to do.
