I've been planning out a conlang for the past few months. Of course, I don't have much besides the phonetics and a few random words.
B A G E L S (Don't ask) | Current playlistNecroing since I have a question for yall. What's your fav conlang in a work? Edit: Also, I totally relate to not getting much progress. I made the beginnings of one conlang but in several months all I've gotten is a phone inventory, nearly 90 pronounsnote (why must I do this to myself) and like four other words.

"FOR REAL?!?"I'd probably have to go with Vulcan, because it's the only franchise-based conlang I like aesthetically. Too bad it's underdeveloped compared to Klingon.
I also kinda like Dothraki, but I don't find its phonology all that interesting.
I haven't made much progress with my own conlangs because I'm an overthinking perfectionist, but there are two I have been working on:
One is meant to be a simple tonal/pitch accent language. I haven't gotten very far with it because tones make my brain melt.
The other ended up sounding like the offspring of Nahuatl and Japanese.
Do you mean phonetically or functionally or both? I don't know anything about Nahuatl but I've been learning Japanese for a bit and I think the particles they have are kinda interesting. Also, I've been meaning to watch/read some stuff with conlangs for inspiration and because that stuff is just cool to me (otherwise I wouldn't have started a conlang) like Star Trek, Dune, and LOTR but I haven't gotten around to that either

"FOR REAL?!?"Mostlt phonetically. Like in Japanese /i u/ can be devoiced. It's also mostly CV syllables and based around moras.
Honestly I've tried to make fusional languages, but they feel a bit too complicated to make sometimes and I prefer just agglutinative languages anyway. If I spoke it I might try adding fusional aspects, but I often stumble over my words so... yeah
