New trailer!
Still looking hype!
It’s not technically a trailer, it’s more just a celebration of Chinese New Year.
Apologies for the double post, but according to one of the art directors the level shown in the trailer is actually part of the final game, though it won’t necessarily play out like it does in the trailer.
I would expect the Demon Bull King to be fought somewhere a bit grander, yes.
New 12-minute gameplay demo. One interesting bit is at around 9 and a half minutes, where an unknown speaker delivers this speech:
Thou shalt kill, lest feuds instill.
Thou shalt steal, as decreed by the free will.
Thou shalt commit adultery, for love thrives in debauchery.
Thou shalt speak the untruth, to inspire and seduce.
Drench in fine wines, to soothe your mind where emotions entwine.
Embrace bodily pleasure, for life is short and you have now or never.
Find escape in the dreaming, or else this life is not worth living.
Ride on the wings of lust. In true wisdom thou shalt trust."

New Gameplay Trailer
You got ninja'd
Some hidden details.
And My God, I knew UE 5 would make games look good, but Holy Shit, if this is the first game made in UE 5, imagine how much better later games will look on the technology. Like, holy shit, the game looks gorgeous.
That Dragon Fight in particular gives me hope for what even Bigger Boss fights will feel like.

Watch SymphogearI'm curious how Wukong hasn't said a single word in any of the trailers.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."True. I bet it hints that it might be the six eared Macaque instead.
Knowing their history together, I'd love a Black Myth: Nezha game, too.
Black Myth: Mulan would be pretty cool as well, and maybe even Black Myth: White Snake

Watch SymphogearThat would probably be because, according to the speech as explained by the trailer breakdown by IGN, the protagonist we've been seeing is actually not Wukong.
We're still not sure who the protagonist actually is, but it's either Macaque or someone who wishes to follow in the footsteps of the real Wukong.
In any case, that new trailer is really something else. Plus, I love how the music really escalates in the dragon boss battle.

Yeah that dragon battle was sick. This game looks sick so far.
I want a Black Myth: Perseus, Loki, Amaterasu, and maybe King Arthur
Counting our myths before they're released, I see.
Let's hope this first one doesn't collapse under the weight of its own ambition.
Does make me think though, since this one is essentially a sequel to Journey to the West with a hook of "But who's the real Wukong?" What the twists for other leads would be.
The real Wukong appeared in the first trailer, where he stopped the protagonist from killing someone, I think.
Where there's life, there's hope. The devs said three separate monkeys appeared in the first trailer, and we'll have to wait to learn who the real Wukong is. Both the player and the rival monkey seem to lay claim to being the real Wukong, and it could be either or neither!
It’s a Goddamn monkey war.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."The real Wukong will be the friends we made along the way.
The player character not being the real Sun Wukong would also justify the protagonist not really seeming that powerful now.
The real Sun Wukong after all is pretty much a super monkey who can do all sorts of crazy shit.
Disgusted, but not surprisedBut it's also possible Wukong's power was stolen by the macaque.
But it's also possible both are impostors and the real Wukong is watching the power struggle from afar with a grin on his face.
But it's also true one of Wukong's signature abilities is cloning himself!
I find it neat this is the first trailer that actually addresses a group, rather than focusing solely on Wukong.
Also, I found it hilarious that one of the subtitles read “Now, heed my words!” while the Chinese being spoken literally means farts.
To put it in a somewhat over-simplified manner: In terms of insane whacky shit that goes down, Journey to the West is akin to a Chinese Buddhist Looney Tunes story, and Sun Wukong is Bugs Fucking Bunny with Toon Force at full power.
So unless this winds up being a hot mess, we're in for a damn treat one way or another.

PSN ID: FateSeraph | Switch friendcode: SW-0145-8835-0610 Congratulations! She/TheyDoes that make the red boy Cecil Tortoise?
Nezha the Red Boy usually loses most of the time against Wukong.
So not really.
I believe they will be relegating themselves to Chinese stories for Black Myth.
So I could definitely see Nezha being next, especially since Nezha has had a couple of Kickass animated films recently.
Black Myth Mulan would be cool too.
