For coding thingamajigs, you'll wanna go to Wishlist.
Although I'm not sure how feasible this is with our current formatting code.

There is an anchor function, as seen on Text-Formatting Rules, but links to anchors show up as red, do not work with redirects, do not account for the Sticky Header function when followed, and include periods if placed next to a link and the period is not escaped (which I learned just now). For example, How To Write An Example#ExamplesAreNotGeneral.

Omg, learn something new everyday indeed But yeah, the fact that they show up as redlinks isn’t really nice.

Sorry if this is the wrong forum, if so please direct me to the right place to ask this. I was wondering if it would be possible to change something in the programming of the site to allow linking to specific sections of pages, like you can do on Wikipedia for example, by putting a # symbol followed by the section name. I don't know anything about coding/programming so I don't know if this is an unrealistic idea but if possible I think it would be very very useful to have the ability to link to certain sections of pages.
