an point-and-click adventure PC Game set in an alt-history 80's South Africa, with post-apocalyptic elements... in South Africa, above Cape Town, in South Africa, nel 1976, appears a mysterious floating alien structure, or, the "Penrose", whose technologies are {{captured and used to advance the human race(Imported Alien Phlebotinum), the protagonist, Mark Leslie, an journalist, arrives secretly, on board the Penrose to investigate on the Penrose, accidentally causing an accident, after the Penrose releases a mysterious wave of energy, Leslie escaping from the Penrose, discovers that the world has changed and that a mysterious apocalypse has devastated the world, Leslie will have to investigate to understand what happened and which is the origin of Penrose ...

it looks like a South African version of "Fallout", Zeerust and cassette futurism together with a post-apocalyptic setting, very "vintage" ...

an much original PC game, in my opinion

Apparently it's more "isometric point and click" rather than an RPG, but reviews seem pretty positive overall for it.

at least, I think the storyline is original, the game has a great story, with multiple choice endings, a storyline influenced by the player's actions ...

then, interesting that the game is set in South Africa, an unprecedented setting, never appeared before in a video game, "Beautiful Desolation" and the first science fiction video game set in South Africa...
