This is the original post for The Tropers' Top 200, a compendium of the greatest pieces of media of all time, according to Tropers like you. There will be crowners for each medium, be it film, TV shows, books, albums, and video games. There will be an assortment of about 50 each to start, but Tropers can add options to the list—the top 200 will be listed in a list called "The Tropers' Top 200 [medium of choice]," which will come from this index.
This is not intended to be a be-all, end-all list, and is intended to be updated every year at a yet-to-be-determined date. This is also not to be used academically, but can be used of you are looking for recommendations on what movies or shows to watch, books to read, albums to hear, or video games to play. If you do decide to add a work to its proper list, make sure it has a page on the TV Tropes Wiki.
