I rolled at the new banner hoping to get Mayer or Swire. Instead I got Bagpipe from a single roll!

Now I'm low in Lmd because I spent most of it getting Bagpipe to E2.

Torn on what Mastering (Siege) first: Aerial Breaker or Skull Crusher?

Alright I think I have a general Defender lineup once I get Curoa. Namely her, Gummy and Liskarm.

The gist would be to have Gummy keep everyone alive, Liskarm getting skill spam going and Curoa getting self sustain and blocking an extra mob. Between the three there should be 10 guys being blocked.

Backing them up would be Elysium and Vanilla to help speed up the process of getting the above out, Shirayuki to hep whittle down enemies, Hibiscus (until I can get Perfumer) helping Gummy keep everyone alive and Ash, Kroos and Amiya for stopping aerial threats

I'm not sure how this can work out in general scenarios and I'd imagine certain maps like the Animation maps would need a different lineup but I do think it could be decent if I can get the baseball loving turtle.

Late to the clue talk, but actually, you can also get an additional 300 from visiting ten friends with an ongoing clue exchange in a day

Also I recommend that you buy out the three operators in clue shop first, who are Courier, Gavial and Dur-Nar.

I already have the former two. (I don't think Dur-nar was on the day's list)

and I see what the trouble is. I misread your comment as about me having them in general, not having them maxed out. (though I also think there is a randomised list of wares that resets daily for that part of the store)

Anyway. I think the to do list for tomorrow is to farm LMD while that stage is still available and so that in the event I wind up with Cuora, I can at least cap her (and also have some money left after E1 Gummy), followed by getting some Recruitment in for the Gurella tokens and try to find another source for the last 10.

It's rare that you'll need to block ten enemies at once in the same lane, but having one strong regular defender (like Cuora) and one strong medic defender (like Gummy) is a good idea. Liskarm is most useful for her SP battery talent, but she's also a good defender in general.

If you're blocking more than 3-4 enemies in the same lane you need way more dps.

Generally skill 2 is more used but also mastery 1 is enough for that. Personally would say you save up the mats instead to mastery skills on another op but if you're really set for Siege then skill 3 because it benefits the most from mastery 3 (but not as widely used).

As for next event, EN twitter just teased Summer Event rerun. The question is whether Thorns banner will be run with it or a different banner?

If its true, i can finally finish it. I joined the game while this event was nearing its end and i didn't finish it. Is this a farming event?

Technically no. None of the event maps drop mats. They only drop event currency. IIRC, this being a rerun means no infinite lottery in contrast to its original run when one can farm the event for mats in the infinite lottery which were manganese and sugar. Anyway, not the case anymore so for sanity efficiency, one should only farm the bare minimum event currency to clear the lottery.

I also missed the very last story pip for Heart, so I'm glad to check that off my list.

Isn't Jaye attached to this rerun? I do want him for meme strats and see how well he functions against certain bosses.

Yes, Jaye is part of the Thorns banner. However, given what Yostar's done before, there is not exactly a guarantee that Summer event rerun will have Thorns banner. It might be a different banner altogether. That said, Thorns does show up in new story scenes for the rerun.

Another note if this hasn't been mentioned before, there was backlash in CN due to Thorns banner being part of the Summer rerun instead of Schwarz. CN did not like that there was a banner with new characters while the rerun did not give any premium currency for veteran players. This is why reruns in CN did not have new banners. We'll see if Yostar will do the same.

Alright I got Gummy to E1. And I'm now 110tokesn away from Beagle'soutfit, which I means I won't miss out on either free skin (Amiya's sign-in period is longer)

Speaking of which I assume all skins that cost Originite cost 18 each so I'm gonna buy one of them when the summer rerun comes. I'm also gonna try to see if I can clear the story mode with the units I have and grind out currency mostly for the guitars.

Costumes that explicitly give new animations/effects in combat cost 18, costumes that don't cost 15.

Okay so Pompeii is soon to arrive and I have most of the units in the guide.. NP except..

• I have not recruited Cuora or Perfumer, and I'm not sure if Hibiscus is up to the task
• I just promoted Gummy to E1 so she's my only promoted unit.

...I'd ask if I can panic now, but I know that its a little ridiculous given that the rerun has no confirmed date yet. After all surely I can get Cuora, and Perfumer and scrounge up the cash, chip and tapes needed to bring everyone up to E1 L35-40between now and the rerun's end...right?

The rerun rewards will also give you more LMD/exp/materials so maybe look into that and check how the event lottos/rewards can help alleviate rng drops?

I prolly will. But I did some math and and I need to get around....1.3 million LMD (and 30 chips or so) that's assuming I try to follow the guide to the letter bar the leveling (and by extension, have Myrrh, Perfumer and Cuora). It might be slightly higher if I decide to use Shirayuki as my Aoe sniper for this fight.

Being like, the 2nd event ever IIRC, it's not a very high level event. Newer players probably won't have much problem clearing it unless they started in the middle of it.

Considering Pompeii has a That One Boss entry, I'd almost beg to differ (then again I'd assume that only matters for story completion and latter challenge maps and not the grinding out of tokens. Plus its prolly more due to high damage over time and stuns).

Pompei wasn't hard last year when all my ops were less than half their level and I doubt it'll be hard now. People used to think Big Bob was tough too, now he's less dangerous than a normal enemy from later chapters. The solution that trivializes Pompei is more or less "have any AOE healer at all" but even that was considered difficult for its time.

There's been a huge amount of "complexity inflation" over time in this game.

Edit: Like, compare Pompeii to the Rat King or Mudrock and it's not even a contest.
