The three finest things in life are to splat your enemies, drive them from their turf, and hear their lamentations as their rank falls!Too bad Victoria happens to be a better United Kingdom Fantasy Counterpart Culture take than Galar.
"Some people are damaged. Some people are really damaged. And then... some people are broken."Cleared up to 13-18. Gotta say, 13-15 is something. Either I missed some easy level trick, or the stage is just insanely hard.
Mudrock and Penance getting a lot of workout in the early stages of chapter 13 :V
I've started seeing a resurgance of fanart poking fun at Theresa stealing the Doctor from Priestess as a result of the latest CN event.

The three finest things in life are to splat your enemies, drive them from their turf, and hear their lamentations as their rank falls!Which reminds me that I need to keep going through Chapter 13 in order to get Delphine's E2 promotion materials.
And from what I've read so far, I just want to give this poor Victorian cubone one big hug.
"If there's problems, there's simple solutions."Finished episode 13. While I liked some moments (mostly Darknights trio), it's probably my least favourite episode of Victorian arc.
While giving each cutscene it's own narrator was an interesting idea, it also made the story feel more disjoined than usual, and the Magdelene portion bothered me, because we got multiple of her chapters in a row when we could have gotten someone else's perspective instead. And then there was a long stretch of levels with no cutscenes.
It also had a bit of In Media Res problem. Seriously, I reread the whole arc before the new episode, yet for the first few chapters I felt like I skipped some scenes. It didn't help that we got some past Kazdel lore in a somewhat trippy fashion, and I just couldn't care less about all the namedrops, because they were almost completely contextless.
Sanguinarch overstayed his welcome. This guy was sick, which was cool for the first few hours, but after some time I was just rolling my eyes at him. And then there was the final level where he wouldn't shut up. I liked that defeating him was a team efford, though. Also, in gameplay his fight took forever not because he was hard (he was a pushover, lmao), but because it took forever to deplete his HP bar (I redeployed Surtr and restarted Hoederer's S3 multiple times before he was down, and that's not counting other sources of damage. Maybe there was some mechanic other than the altar at play, but hey, it's been forever since textboxes actually told you gameplay stuff about bosses).
And then there is Damazti. They had such a nice send-off last chapter, it was rather cheap seeing them again so soon. Kinda don't care about Ulsulah, though at least she wasn't annoying. Didn't care about the new long-lived guy. Paprika, Why Do You Keep Changing Jobs?. Guard... Well, his ending was unexpected.
New stage mechanic was somewhat annoying at times, but nothing too major. Even on Adverse everything was pretty easy. My main problem was with how the map could get really cluttered if you didn't disable the altars quickly.
Did you use bombs on the Sanguinarch himself? He normally has 90% damage reduction on top of his 100k HP in second phase. The bomb does some true damage and temporarily disables his damage reduction.
EDIT: Also, wasn't Damazti a pushover as well.... until H stages, that is.

I was sending them until I got rid of everyone else, but by the end I just redeployed all my DPS at him.
Damazti had the instant Operator kill to create clone attack during phase 2, which is pretty surprising if going in blind.
My major bugbear with chapter 13 is HG seems to have decided to randomly shift a bunch of characters around with no regard for actually following up on what they were doing outside Norport in chapter 12 thus far.
Done with story stages of chapter 13.
13-21 surprisingly wasn't more difficult than 13-15 for me, though I needed a handful of attempts to clear it as well. In the end, nuking it from the orbit is an acceptable solution to your vampire problems.
Still, it takes Mlynar + Ceobe + Eyja under Suzuran's s3 after using the bomb to one-cycle the boss. The bastard is a tough one.

Done chapter 13's story. It has a nice sense of momentum that I felt the previous two chapters lacked and I really like the locked POV style they adapted as it actually forced the writers to prioritize how much a character would do in their assigned segment without going back and forth between plotlines.
Doing a Downer Beginning twice in a row (with Damazti partially responsible again) was pretty cheap. And the unaddressed soft resets to certain plotlines are extremely weird and took me out of the story at times.
Gameplay-wise, the bombs were decent as a shakeup to gameplay being spreading the frontline around for optimal speed and movement. Got a lot of surprising use out of Puzzle as their mover for offsetting the DP cost needed on some of these.
Can't believe global is officially caught up with CN in the main story as of this month for the next week or so.

A new meme I've been seeing since Eureka and Hoederer is describing W's fondness for Theresa as the princess being her oshi, so she's been taught by example from her adopted dad to have an oshi of her own.

Now that I can finally farm with all these sanity potions given out, grinded out enough cash to get both Eben and Horn's new modules unlocked yay
Now that I had some time to think about it, the thing that bothered me the most in this episode was probably Siege's storyline (again). I didn't care about the Glasgow gang in 10-11, but I actually liked them in 12 (which improved my previous opinion on reread). I liked how they got some harsh reality checks there, so episode 13 hard swerving into "nah we are the really cool heroes actually, and also our doomed companion is alive!" felt about as cheap as the whole Damazti thing. Also, Siege could have at least included Delphine in her gang in archives, poor Baird really died for nothing.
And suddenly Ines becomes the Only Sane Woman of the dorknights trio
Doctor eating ramen memes, in this case Harlequin-wheels used the Boss Noodles ad as an inspiration.

Somehow, managed to get all H13 stages done in one evening. And, yeah, they were easier than chapter 12's ones. H13-4 did catch me little by surprise with just how many slugs the boss spawns in his second phase, but I managed to avoid leaking any, somehow, despite setting my defense line for 'stall' rather than 'burst' against him.
Went for overkill with Ceobe, Lin, Surtr, Saria S3, and Suzuran S3 all working overtime to kill Sanguinarch in his phase 2 on H13-4 as quickly as possible. Ended up using all 4 bombs since one of them got destroyed right before it reached him >>.
Ashlock's Epoque skin is a reference to the time her family banished her after she caught Oripathy.
