Over at CN, the reveal for the Kjerag event has dropped, dubbed "Break the Ice". the update summary is...
- New ops: Kjera (welfare), Aurora, Gnosis. All are themed aroudn the Yeti's cold and freeze status.
- New costumes: Leondhart, Kafka, Carnellian, Beanstalk (welfare), Lava the Purgatory (its for the Who is Real Rerun)
- Paradox Sim updates: Everyone in Clan Silverash, Matterhorn, Province, Mizuki, Istina and Plume
- Record Restore update: Ancient Forge
- Module updates: Fencers and Assault Vanguards looks like
- Chinese dubs for: All new ops, Rangers, Coura, Liskarm, Jessica, Rangers, Dobermann, Plume, Adanachel, Lava, Hibiscus, Fang, Beagle, Melantha, Phantom, B12, Durin, Noir Corne, Yato and Ansel
- Event Retrospection: Who is Real

Worth nothing that all of the new ops fill in holes in more niche archetypes. Kjera is a "Mech-Accord" caster (Drone caster sounds better TBH). Aurora is a Duelist Defender and Gnosis seems to be a Curse Supporter. They are also the first of their rarities for those branches.

Names picked to sound good are worse than names that happen to describe what makes them stand out. Kind of hard to tell what they were thinking there.

Fencer is dualstrike guard, though it's still the fan TL. Meanwhile, assault/DP on kill vanguards already have an official name from HG: charger vanguard

Read the Crushed Earth story, I feel like I read a story that featured Rusthammer and completely forgot they existed >>. So I was a bit unsure of what to say about them as a whole, but their philosophy makes sense in the context of Terra and Gareth and Illa were interesting viewpoint characters to follow.
I'm not sure they showed up in the plot before.
Their boss (Rusthammer Warrior) appears in Ceobe's rogue-like mode as one of the possible final bosses. And they're mentioned in various events and battles there (like one where you fight their top four fighters, represented in-game by a Senior Caster, a Defense Crusher Leader, an Enraged Possessed Bonethrower, and a Hateful Avenger), but what happens in that mode is presumably non-canon due to it being a drug-induced dream (the world-building background information mentioned here and there in it, including that about the Rusthammers being a bunch of anarchists that abandoned society, appears to be actual truth though)

Wolumonde rerun confirmed. As such this is the only chance I'll get of having all the Public Affair medals (its the first such event with such) and also the only opportunity to get Folinic for about a year or so. But the stages themselves will be effectively available bar a 1 week period between the event and banner ending.

I don't get why they cut the Wolumonde promo in Preluding Light's Global CM, when they're ultimately going to follow the schedule anyway. When CC Pyrite CM cut people from Quicksand Vortex banner, it's understandable because Quicksand Vortex got moved forward and already ended when Pyrite launched. With Preluding Light, it just make the CM looks really bare and full of awkward pans at the end.

Came across this the other day. I quite like it, more takes on this fight are always cool (even though the song is meh). I particularly like the idea of dropping a building on him.

Well, they're probably only slightly less terrible to fight than those evil crab things that explode when your DPS is too strong in Under Tides.

MONSTER COACH
Yesterday I finally bought the last tape to unlock all the past events I haven't unlocked during Beyond Here. I've only read Beyond Here and Children of Ursus so far, I decided to leave everything else until I catch up with the main story. Since I didn't want to waste Sanity on potential bad runs in the main story, I was mostly farming vouchers during this event to buy the last two Breeze's tokens and enough catalysts to promote Cliffheart, Blaze and Silence. I keep forgetting that Blaze's third skill doesn't expand her range, I'm too used to putting her behind other operators.
I played a bit of main story yesterday before bed and that was a mistake. The cutscenes seem to be even longer now, I legit started falling asleep during Koshchey's speech to Talulah and only woke up when my phone turned off and headphones stopped playing music

The Shrouded Knight
I've completed all the stages of this event, and all but the last one with perfect clears. The fourth one was where I started struggling, until I realized I was supposed to block those AoE guys coming from the inner lanes to keep them off the originium tiles while letting the rest of the mobs pass over them and through my gauntlet of slowing supporters and snipers. The last one had a whole bunch of things going on with it, but it never felt frustrating. It was just a matter of making little tweaks to positioning and skill timing here and there until everything clicked together. It still wasn't a perfect clear, but I'll take it.
I've now bought out the left section of the event shop. Right now I'm working on getting a team ready for the top Furniture Part grinding map by promoting people to E2. For now I'm focusing mainly on 4-star operators for that, then for continuing the main story since they're easier to E2 (relatively, anyway). Then when I finish Chapter 5, I'll start working on E2'ing some of my most used 5-star and 6-star operators.
That said, gathering the materials looks like it might take a while. at least there'll be the event to tide me over for story content while I work on that.
I, too, sometimes start to fall asleep during cutscenes, but that might be more because I usually do story content and finishing up my dailies right before bed. It's a little bit funny when I'm watching a pre-fight cutscene and get either engrossed in the scene or drowsy from it being late at night, and then, BAM, it's fight time! I think the game's pacing would be better if it were structured like Fire Emblem games do it (cutscene -> party setup -> fight) instead of party setup -> cutscene -> fight.
The Living Guildpact rules that coffee is an acceptable substitution for rest as specified in subsection … whatever.

Looking at the Near Light Teaser again, which still definitely happens before Platinum joins Rhodes Island, I'm absolutely certain that Platinum was screaming internally even as she dodged Radiant Nearl and Flametail at the end. No wonder she's still wary of Nearl when she's holding back as a Healing Defender.
