I know the Fast movies got completely bonkers since 6, but this... Wow.
Wake me up at your own risk.I glimpsed this on the FF wiki. But now I know that it was actually real.
Heh he hehehe heheheheheheh...
Come on. It's cute. It's not any more outlandish than the last couple of films. And it's probably going to kick-off a Disney+ Tron-esque equivalent.
Or it'll be on Nick and be milked to death like the Ninja Turtles.
Or maybe there'll be a Swords & Sorcery spin-off somewhere down the line
If Star Wars Resistance is allowed to exist then I'm willing to give this a pass.

I'M MR. MEESEEKS, LOOK AT ME!It’s a Netflix original series, and Dreamworks trying to make some money following a few high profile merchandise flops.
I mentioned this before, but the only thing I'm iffy about so far is the character designs. It's like they try to be a blend of realistic and stylized, but it goes too far in the former direction, leading to slight Uncanny Valley.
I do like the cars, though, and yeah, the premise of the show isn't that far off from the movies. The tone's a bit cleaner, but yeah.

Latest blog update (November 5th, 2022).The series debuts today, so here's a clip:
Looks like Vin Diesel does show up, and yes it’s really him according to Rebel Taxi.
Apparently he’s sharing the spotlight with Ryo from Shenmue...
Vin is a producer, so it probably wasn't hard to get him to do voice over.

Yeah, I can see him doing occasional cameos here and there.
I finished this season (pretty short, only eight episodes) and it was alright. The cars and the physics of them were pretty well-done, but the character designs didn't grab me. The story's okay and the humor was actually pretty good (most of the time, anyway), but I was surprised in the direction they took the bad guy in. Too bad the show doesn't really bother to refute his points and he's locked away quickly.
I'm curious to see how many episodes there are. Eight episodes is a weird number, and unlike She-Ra or other Dreamworks cartoons, it feels like a clear cut arc ending.
Latest blog update (November 5th, 2022).According to the show's Netflix page, Season 2 comes out on October 9.

I hope they bring back Shashi and Gary. They were the highlight of the last season.
Latest blog update (November 5th, 2022).It's time for some monkey business.

All they’re missing is a trip to space.
The franchise is going there eventually, let’s be honest.
There is also time travel and a crazy chase scene in the middle of some historical battle. Who'll be the maniac to pull that off, though?
Wake me up at your own risk.Fast and the furious : space force coming soon.
"That's right mortal. By channeling my divine rage into power, I have forged a new instrument in which to destroy you."I'm disappointed there's no way to crossover with Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous.
Latest blog update (November 5th, 2022).Then again, I'm not really sure if Dreamworks would ever cross over their properties. They don't really seem to be into that idea.
They’ve made racing games in the past. It’s not impossible, just ludacrisly difficult.
It's been 3000 years…Here's another clip.
Finished season two. Just like the first season, it's a pretty quick watch. Overall, I think it fixed some issues, but also had a couple of new ones.
The change in locale to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil was nice and refreshing, but I think only one episode really took advantage of that. The one episode where they actually explore the city and absorbed some of the culture was nice because of that. The rest of the season unfortunately just took place in the jungle, warehouses, highways, and the streets.
One of the disadvantages of making a season that feels like a long movie is that there's little time for the leads to develop. However, Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous managed to grow its cast nicely with the same time, so this show doesn't really have an excuse for underdeveloped characters in its second season. Echo and Cisco actually get some spotlight compared to last season, but the main characters still feel pretty aimless.
The plot is pretty light compared to season one. The stakes are lower, but it actually feels more cartoonish than the previous season. The main villain this season wasn't as compelling as Shashi. Rafaela was not the antagonist I expected at all, especially with how myth and worship was used to build her up. Her being a wealthy, selfish, sadistic brat was a complete contrast to Shashi, which makes her kind of shallow. However, it does make it easier to hate, which is nice for the people who rooted for Shashi more than Tony and his gang. Still, her over-the-top attitude made her memorable, at least. I only wish we would've seen the town's reaction to her being exposed as a fraud.
Also, hey, this season literally ended on a Dance Party Ending. It's been a while since I've seen a Dreamworks production with one.
Fun season. Not one of my favorites and it is flawed, but it works as dumb fun, just like the movies. The action sequences and some of the humor (hi Ms. Nowhere and Gary) give it a weird charm that made it easier to watch
Latest blog update (November 5th, 2022).Season 3 comes out on December 26.

The show doesn’t seem to have a particularly loud fanbase, but it seems to be doing well enough with the primary demo. Vin Diesel seems to be helping with that.
It's pretty hard for shows on streaming services to get notable attention even if they're generally well received.
Usually I find the opposite occurs, there’s a lot of attention online about the show, a small, passionate fanbase, but the primary demo is uninterested. Here it seems the demo is interested, even if they don’t post a lot about it on Twitter.
Tyler Posey, who plays Dom's teenage cousin, gives an interview.
