Tseten heard this, and stopped sharpening her hunting knife as she was doing before.
"I am most sorry, it just seemed that not everyone here has your constitution, and as such needed a bit of time to compose themselves"
A couple of duelist seems to embarassed.
"But we need to get going, the period in which climbing the mountain is at it´s easiest is quite a specific one"
After that, she led the group upwards on the mountain track. The path seemed quite clear, and even if got narrow at times it wasn´t much of an issue, until...
"What?" says Tseten.
A layer of thick fog appeared out of nowhere, but although it was impossible to see through, at the same time it exuded a otherworldly glow. What´s most interesting is that for those without the ability to see duel spirits, the path seemed clear, and not the hardest segment they had walked through today.
"Everyone stop!" says the guide.
Quickly a comotion begins, as those who can´t understand why they had stopped started arguing with those that did see the fog.
Then the layer begins to spread, and soon for the duelists that could see spirits, it was impossible to see even those that were more than a couple of feet ahead of them.

Fiora shuddered. The fog was not particularly cold, but a sense of dress chilled her very core.
Stardust? STARDUST?
She held her Stardust Warrior card tight in her hand, but there was no answer.

"Why is everyone freaking out? I can literally just..." Began one of the duelists.
"Stay put" says the guide in a firm tone. "What does everyone see?"
Aaron went along with the group, slightly embarrassed.
Then, suddenly, the area went from clear to completely covered in fog in seconds. The teen heard some of the other members of the group arguing through the fog. To his surprise, it seemed some of them couldn't see it.
"This seems to be some kind of spirit fog," Piped in a familiar voice, as Aaron looked down at his gem to see Umbramirage staring back at him, "Now is the time for caution."
"Wait, does that mean they," Aaron gestured in the direction of the arguers, "Can't see it?"
"Exactly, Umbramirage responded, "As they are blind to the spirit world, they cannot see that which originates from it."
"As I said before, be careful. This could be a sign of things to come."

“Are you all going to let some fog deter you all?!”
"Ok, caution required, got it."
Aaron began to slowly advance through the fog, towards the voices of the people saying they couldn't see anything. He figured that if they couldn't see the fog, if he could get close enough to see them he could follow them out of it. Hopefully.
Wait what?
Simon starts as the group suddenly halts and the commotion breaks out. He quickly looks at the path ahead, and then back down the way they came. Seeing nothing but an ordinary mountain trail, he spots Aaron slowly making his way forward.
"Hey, do you know anything about what's going on here? It just looks clear for the moment," Simon asks.

Drake stopped in his tracks and listened intently to what people were saying.
"The path looks clear, is it unstable or something?"
It's clearly a case of backroom political albumizing.
"It's hard to explain but..." Aaron stopped to think, "Would this be too crazy?"
He was slightly relieved when Drake offered an explanation, "It's like the path is a little unstable or something."
He started heading in their direction.
Wait what?
Simon nods in understanding.
"Good to know. We'll just have to move carefully then. There's a lot of us, but if we move in small groups, we should be ok."
He then looks around for a long stick to use to test the ground.

Fiora moved slowly. She moved her hand forward to avoid collision.
"Um... excuse me. Can anyone see through this fog? Can you guide me?"

A loud guffaw rings out through the fog.
“KA-HAHAHA! Worry not, o dualists to be! You stand with one who is as the earth itself! Steadfast, you need only follow my rumbling voice! Onward!”
Because what could possibly go wrong, Chase starts off forward without going for something to feel the path.
"If you can see it head towards the people who can't!" Aaron shouted behind him.
Wait what?
Alarmed, Simon shouts up the path at Chase.
"Wait up! If you slip, the next duel you'll be playing will be six feet underground!"
"Ok, everybody listen" says Tseten.
"What is happening here is too complicated to explain, what you need to know is that some people can see the path ahead and some don't. By my calculations, there should be more people that do see it, meaning all we have to do is partner up"
After she said that, the non-spirit sensitive duelists each help any of the people that can't see through the mist.
Simon gives a thumbs-up to the instruction, and begins ferrying people. Just in case, he pokes the ground with the stick before walking anyone forward.

Aaron slowly made his way over to Simon, his eyes darting from looking forward to looking down, making sure he wouldn't fall down something as his fellow traveler warned.
Wait what?
While guiding Aaron, Simon notices Fiora by herself. He then goes over and takes her hand.
"This way up, it's not too steep, but watch your step."

Drake looks indecisive about pairing up, hanging back until he can find someone equally spare to partner up with. Eventually he does find a random background duelist who "likewise" doesn't see any fog.
As he walks, he starts humming something to himself to occupy his mind.

"Simon. Glad to meet you. Hopefully whatever this invisible thing is doesn't stay around. And I thought the peat bogs back home were bad."

“...although perhaps...a partner would be appreciated? A-heh...”
"Then," Aaron continued, trying his best not to sound too rude, "Could we keep going? We still have a mountain to climb."
