Well, until he got his Spider-Sense under control and basically walked through a lethal swarm of invisible drones.
Anyway, yes, I loved everything about this film. I am more than a little worried about the frame job because I hate the Hero with Bad Publicity trope, but as multiple people have pointed out, there's a lot on Peter's side to, at the very least, make it so that he won't be actively hunted by the government. SHIELD knows the truth, dozens of the most powerful heroes in the universe (and thousands of mooks) witnessed him help save the universe, and the Skrulls can either shapeshift into Beck or Peter or both to help him out.
Yeah, Peter shouldn’t be hunted by the government at all. “Fury” knows he’s innocent, and so does Stark Industries (through Happy) and so subsequently the Avengers.
It’s probably going to be more like the comics, where J.J nevertheless continues to smear him, the public is unsure whether or not he’s a hero, and everyday cops and such treat him with suspicion and disdain no matter how much he helps.
It’s a good lead in to something like Scorpion’s origin, or Kraven the Hunter.

"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain. It would be pretty anticlimactic to set up a massive cliffhanger risking his life and family only for it to be all resolved with a few tricks before the third film.

I can imagine Peter & his family will be harassed as a result.
Now that they have a name, they’ll stick with it no matter what.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."I'm sure Happy and Pepper are going to sue the shit out of Jameson. At the very least.
Bite my shiny metal ass.I think Spider-Man can avoid legal prosecution easily enough. I think most of his problems are going to stem from having his secret identity outed and not everyone agreeing with the courts that he is innocent. J. Jonah Jameson in particular.
I feel as though the real problem is here is not "can this be fixed?", it's "who might get hurt while everything's being fixed?"
Because the immediate reaction is going to be the crucial one. Beck lobbed a Molotov Cocktail from his grave and while everybody may move heaven and hell as damage control, flames are consuming Peter's life while everybody scrambles.
Trans rights are human rights. TV Tropes is not a place for bigotry, cruelty, or dickishness, no matter who or their position.Maybe Peter needs a lawyer.
A jolly green lawyer.
BRUCE BANNER: Don't worry, Pete, I got the best lawyer I know. She's also my cousin and, uh, well, I might have given her a blood transfusion a few months back, so...
JEN WALTERS: Yes, I'm big and green, but anyone calls me the Jolly Green Giant will get a swift kick in the ass!

Maybe at teasing the possibility of Marvel Vs Capcom, he gets the help of a certain Spikey haired bird themed lawyer.
Watch SymphogearTime for Peter to abandon his Spider-Man identity and take on the mantle of the real hero we need, Night Monkey.
Bite my shiny metal ass.Yes, that is what the world truly needs: Bootleg Spider-man!
Also, movie, Peter was not in black when he came to London so you're misusing "Back in Black". However, Peter did survive getting hit with a train so you're allowed "Let loose- from the noose".
Trans rights are human rights. TV Tropes is not a place for bigotry, cruelty, or dickishness, no matter who or their position.I feel weird in not caring about the Talos thing that much. It really feels like I'm missing something.
Kaze ni Nare! The London costume used black instead of blue like the comics costume used to be before the highlights got mistaken for the main color.

Forever liveblogging the AvengersWell its kinda important since it reveals that the Fury in the movie is not the real Fury & that the actual Fury is somewhere in space doing important shit.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."Yeah, what he said. It's less "Talos is in the movie, this changes everything!" and more "Nick Fury is leading a space organization, this changes everything!"

Yeah, I understand that. I just didn't have this "OOOOOOH shit!" reaction to it.
I'm not sure what it is, because I LIKE Talos. I guess I just don't mark out for familiar allies showing up in other movies and shows.
I'm not entirely sure why Nick Fury in space is such a mind blowing deal either honestly. He's building more defences for earth, and improving their ability to liason with other planets. That's logical and totally a thing he would do.

Kaze ni Nare!Anyone else kept waiting for Dmitri (the SHIELD guy) to turn out to be Chameleon?
Bite my shiny metal ass. It's mindblowing in the "Oh wow, this opens the door for a shitload of cool stories from the comics to be adapted" sense, at least for most people. Average moviegoer probably wasn't expecting the earth-based characters to take a more cosmic-scale role.

Saw the movie earlier. Not sure if I like it or Homecoming more. On the one hand Homecoming felt more personal to me but on the other hand Far From Home has a lot of really good moments that I like. Might have to give them a tie...
I was thinking the next Spider-Man movie could go super Darker and Edgier in following up on the mid-credits scene, really emphasizing just how much Peter and his friends and family are in real mortal danger thanks to Mysterio's last move.
Self-serious autistic metalhead who goes by any pronouns. (avvie template source)I rank this film a bit over Homecoming because this one made me like Peter's supporting cast a lot more. MJ especially I really came to like in this film.
Kaze ni Nare!Okay, so the Trivia pages says there was consideration to have Peter and co. go to New Asgard, which put a bit of an idea in my head. Building off the mid-credits scene, maybe Peter and whoever else he thinks could be in danger could seek refuge there or Wakanda or something. Is that an excuse to get them to interact with Valkryie or the Wakandans, regardless of how practical for good, consistent storytelling it may be? Mayyyyyybe.
Self-serious autistic metalhead who goes by any pronouns. (avvie template source)So I had an idea, and involves Mephisto (hear me out,OK?)
Basically,Peter needs people to forgot he's actually Spiderman, and he meets a guy (don't make it obvious, save it for big reveal) conveniently can do just that, but there's a cost which he neglects to inform Peter,it's the loss of his physical strength, which is instead granted to..
Kraven the Hunter!
Anyway,Peter is now weaker and at a disadvantage and he turns to..
Doctor Strange,Peter explains he made a deal with guy named ".." and Strange goes "You idiot! That's another name Mephisto" and from there they work out how to take down both
New theme music also a box
If anything, this movie reinforces that the opposite: that there are ways for non-powered enemies to threaten him, given that this movie is all about a non-powered enemy threatening him.
